Go Therefore! – Pastor 6 Update August 2023

A biblical understanding of just these two words is far-reaching. It clearly is because, the authority rests on God to help us make the move in going everywhere He leads. All authority is His alone. It is on His authority we trust Him in everyplace He sends us.

So much so, that this commandment has reverberated in our souls that we waited upon the Lord and sought His heart to lead us wherever He wills after finishing the school semester. After much waiting, the Lord in His grace, has opened doors to J*, one of the main cities in a state which has been hostile to the Gospel. As soon as the meetings had been scheduled, all the staff, along with the students sat in prayer, intercession, and pleading with God to save souls in the areas in and around J*. The Lord, in His provision, has provided for the needs of each and every one. It was decided in the counsel of the Lord, that all of us must be divided into two teams. One team was sent via train to travel for 20 hours; alternatively, another team was sent via car to travel for 15 hours. Thanks be to God, that both of our teams have reached their areas safely. Brethren, there was a warm welcome upon reaching our destination, which is worth sharing with you all. As the team, who came via train, reached J* railway station, we saw a group of welcomers waiting for our team to arrive with a bouquet and with lots of love! This left all of our team in great surprise (even the passengers, too), because this was something unplanned and unexpected. Assuredly, the love of Christ reigned all our hearts.

Set-Apart Youth Meeting at J*

A church is located in the deep forests of J*. This also happens to be the church of one our students. All of our team members were in preparation with prayer and intercession and the day had finally come to start the meetings. The very first day, there was a turnout of 50 young adults, coming from nearby neighborhoods and villages. A choir from the church led us all in praise and worship which was a blessing. Then one of our brothers, P K*, was asked to share his testimony with the young adults. He alluded to the fact that not only should young adults have a testimony but should share it with the world. To do that, it should be our focus daily to be set-apart from the world and preach the Word to this dying world. Truly, truly all of the young adults were blessed to hear the importance of a Word-driven life of a Christian. It was then time for preaching and teaching. The sermon was given by Brother A* about the difference between a true worshipper and a false worshipper taken from the example of Mary and Judas in Mark 14. The message was thought-provoking and helped the young adults to examine what kind of worshipers they are. We pray, that the Word which was planted may bring a harvest in due season. We wrapped up the 1st day with a luncheon as a family in Christ.

There was much expectation and excitement among the youth, about what they would witness in the final day of youth meeting. God didn’t let them down. He used us individually and collectively as a team in all the activities involved and games played. Activities were divided as such: that they would seek, search, find, and know the Word of God. I shared the Word of God about not following the pattern of this world, but instead being transformed by the Word of God. It was another pressing message, for the youth, to be set-apart for God and His will. At the end, we had a thought-provoking questionnaire session with young adults. Many questions were asked regarding faith, baptism, sin, Christianity, and many more. We were so blessed to have such a great opportunity to answer, counsel, and mentor the young adults. We pray, that all these young people may grow more in grace and the knowledge of Christ.

Pastors’ Meeting

The area where we are in the south, is entirely different from J* when compared to the geographical, demographical, and cultural aspects. Since we began praying for guidance about whether or not to go to J*, we all had in mind the pros and cons of doing ministry in a state hit by persecution. We always prayed for the persecuted disciples in that location, but never got to witness the reality of it until we went, and gathered to see and hear the cost of being a witness for Christ there. Local pastors, along with our staff and students had a fruitful time of fellowship. I shared the word from 2 Tim. 1. The word was timely which was titled “ not ashamed of the Gospel-in times of suffering”. It was so encouraging that the Word of God edified the body of Christ. Then, pastors got to share their personal experiences working in the field. Some of the stories are heartbreaking and disturbing to go through. All of our students who sat there, were very moved in their hearts upon hearing the testimonies of the co-workers. We thank the Lord, that He gave us the opportunity to come along with fellow brothers in Christ and we pray and hope that the fellowship may be a soothing aroma to Christ, the author and finisher of our faith.

Ranital Youth Meetings :

We wrapped up our schedule in J* by conducting Youth meetings in R*. R* is a vast neighbourhood in the heart of the city of J*. It’s a predominantly T* speaking neighbourhood, where many T* moved to J* for livelihood reasons long ago.  We believe that meeting with young people from this community is an open door from God, himself. All the 3 days that we ministered there, we felt as if we were our “home away from home”. Praise and worship was done in our home language T*! The Word was preached in T* and testimonies were given in T*! Truly, truly, it is beautiful to see, the brothers in Christ come in love and worship the Lord. The main theme for these meetings was to set a call upon the young people, to be set-apart from this world and turn back to God. Brothers from R*, want our team to visit them again. May the Lord help us in wisdom and love, in ministering to our brothers in this community.

My Wife’s Update

I’m so thankful to God that He’s opened doors for me to minister in the women’s conference and children camp.

Women’s Conference

By the grace of God it was a blessing to see 60 ladies join in the women’s conference. God led me to conduct this conference in a new way to share and lead. We had worship, action dances, games and sermons. Since there were many young women present, I preached about the characteristics of Godly women, daughters, and mothers. God strengthened me, so that I could preach with confidence before many women.

They very much liked the sermons which I preached using illustrations through action songs about Ruth,  Hanna, and Sarah from the Bible. May the seed which was sown work in their hearts. Upon finishing the conference, I was told by many of the women, that it is a new and blessed experience to learn through action songs along with the Word of God. I am really grateful to God that He gave me courage to share the Word of God. It has been such a blessed time to have been able to get connected with many families and make new friends as well.

Children’s camp

I would like to take this opportunity to share about children’s camp. More than 50 kids joined who came from nearby villages from J*. We taught them many Bible stories, games, and action dances. Similarly we made them play a treasure hunt. It was very interesting and fun. We gave them gifts to encourage and bless them. We also provided snacks and lunch for the kids. They enjoyed being in the presence of God. We are so blessed to see them grow. God has a great purpose in each and everyone’s life. He works through us in different ways and in different places to bring glory to His name. I never knew I could do all this, but God is amazing. He chose Moses and David and He chose me to do both the women’s conference and children’s camp.

We are really thankful to God for his provision and his protection over us.

T* Village Ministry  Update

We are very thankful that you are praying for us and the ministry that we are doing here. I am very happy to share what’s happening in the village. Before we shared about a women named K*. I shared in my last news letter that she is in the dangerous situation. She’s pregnant and is having a lot of health problems. In the beginning of her pregnancy, the doctor told that she will die because she ate sand and stones. Her health condition became very serious. She told me that she prayed to God for the first time for the help. God amazingly healed her and brought her out of the hospital. GOOD NEWS! God has blessed her with  beautiful baby girl. Its a great joy. In the midst of a lot of struggles, finally God has filled her life with joy and blessed her. Thank you all for praying.

PRAYER REQUESTS:

  1. Pray for N*. She has cancer in her stomach.
  2. Pray for M. He has blood clots in brain.

10 years already!!! – Villegas Update August 2023

This past month we celebrated God’s faithfulness to this work. He has granted us 10 years of serving in Acapulco. To celebrate, we had a special service given by Pastor David Rosales. After a fantastic message, we had a great time of fellowship with some delicious pozole (Mexican stew).

We look forward to what the Lord still has in store.

Rancho Poiema

Pastor Cesar invited me to teach my apologetics course for a week at Rancho Poiema which is in Baja California. It’s a ministry that prepares and trains future pastors and leaders. The goal is to raise them up with the intention of sending them out to start a new work, which is something I absolutely love. We were able to send a couple, Johnny and Litzy, who just graduated and will be serving in our youth ministries.

Reaching the Youth

As most of us can see, Satan is after the youth and has been gaining a lot of ground. We decided to make a more serious effort to reach them. So that no one gets lost in the crowd we divided them by age so that we can minister to them in a way that’s personal and at their level. Please pray for our youth leaders as they minister to a difficult generation. I must add that all three of these youth ministers feel the call to eventually plant a church. I’m on board!! We just had a youth retreat with over 40 young men and woman present. It went amazing!!

Children’s ministry

We celebrated KIDS DAY!! It was a great time! The kids learned that Jesus came to save the lost and is the BEST and ONLY real super hero!! We will be having our VBS in August. We are praying that the local children will come. We covet your prayers for this event.

Pastors Conference

The annual pastors’ conference is coming up in October. It will be in Baja California. These conferences are always such a blessing. They encourage and edify God’s servants. It’s a tough job and it’s a real blessing to be surrounded by others who can identify with each other and pray together. But it’s not an easy expense for many pastors. The flight alone is above their income so I ask you would to please consider and pray about sponsoring one of our church planters. We have 4 pastors that could use your help. If the Lord puts it on your heart please reach out to us. A roundtrip ticket is around $350.00

The 70 -Men’s Discipleship and Women’s ministry

We had the honor of having Pastor Angel from Clavary Chapel Monrovia share with our men and church. He knows how to stir us up.

Local Outreach

The Lord has called us to go to the nations and that’s exactly what we aim to do. The Mission trip to Teloloapan in Guerrero went AMAZING!! Thank you for the prayers! We were able to give out food bags, medicine, clothes, toys, and the Gospel!! The local pastor said that the Love of Christ was poured out over the people. We are so proud of the team that went!

Further Outreach

There is no doubt that Mexico is in need of more servants but at the same time we cant ignore our own calling to serve all nations . Lili called to serve in the middle east. If you would like in more information clic the following link. https://sgwm.com/rabiella/

Prayer

Please pray for the youth! We are asking for a revival!

Please pray for wisdom for our leadership. There is so much we would like to do, like open a drug rehab, more churches, and orphanages, etc but we need the Lord to lead every decision.

Please pray for our upcoming VBS and men’s and women’s retreats.

Thank you for your financial support! We are eternally grateful to you and ask the Lord to bless you double fold! “May the Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face shine on you and be gracious to you; the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace.” Numbers 6:24-26

Called to Preach – Garcia Family August 2023 Update

Hello friends!

It has been a busy summer for us! On top of holding the fort running the SGWM and CCSG home office and staff in the absence of many of our leaders during the summer School of Missions, the focus for Joel has been teaching and preaching. Since returning from Israel, which was the focus of our last newsletter, Joel’s teaching schedule has consisted of:

  • Co-teaching a class in June with Pastor Trent through 1 Timothy
  • Young Adults group every Thursday night through the book of Romans
  • Teaching the church through 1 Peter every Wednesday night during this July and August
  • A monthly Bible study for our church’s husbands and fathers through the book of Proverbs
  • Teaching a couple of our internship classes
  • Filling in on a Sunday morning for our pastor who became sick on Saturday night
  • Teaching a session at our church’s youth camp in July
  • Teaching for the young adults group and then three Sunday morning services the following weekend at Calvary Chapel The Rock in Santa Rosa, CA at the end of July

In the midst of this, Joel and Amy got to help with our church’s VBS in July, which was a major success!

This summer has also been filled with lots of missionary care, meeting with missionaries who are in town on furlough, and doing zoom calls with missionaries in need of pastoral care and wisdom.

In all of this, the center is God’s word. Every teaching, every interaction, every missionary care meeting, every counseling session, all of the homeschooling that Amy faithfully plugs away at with the kids, is founded not on our own wisdom, but on God’s word. What a privilege to serve Him in this way!

We also would love to keep you updated on our ministry via our newsletter email updates if you are interested. You can sign up for those by clicking the link below:

Free Indeed – Pastor 7 Update August 2023

“Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed.”

John 8:36

Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

Thank you for your steadfast prayers. Knowing that you pray for me brings much comfort to my heart.

The Lord gave me an opportunity to share the Gospel with a new man who has been searching for God. He previously became a member at a church that professes to be Christian but is not correctly teaching the Bible. In this church there is a heavy focus on tithing and what God can do for people. This man has been through a lot in his life. Because of all of his hardship, he has been tithing most of his wages to his church thinking that God will give him blessings. He is the main provider for his family, including his parents. Even though his parents have been telling him this thinking is not correct, he is very stubborn. He continues to give his money and neglect the needs of his family. He believes that if he gives more to God, God will bless him and give more to him.

My heart was filled with compassion for this man, and I shared the Gospel with him. I told him that God does not require any money from him, but instead wants a relationship with him. The man listened. Because he feels a loyalty to his church and pastor, he said he would think about my words. His parents shared with me that he is in despair. Because he gives so much of his money away, he sometimes doesn’t have enough money to have food to eat or provide for the family. This man has been carrying around a great burden. He is trying to pay God, when God is the One who has paid it all for him. God wants this man to give Him all his burdens, so that he can be completely free in Christ. I am praying for more opportunities to meet with this man and to share what God’s Word truly says.

For the past few months, I have been visiting a family that recently moved to an area that is about 30 minutes from my home. They were in this area only temporarily because they work in construction. They were only here to work on a construction project. This family had a great heart to allow me to come into their home and teach them the Word of God. During this time, I was able to witness how God was opening their eyes to His truth. They even began to invite others to join them for Bible study. It brings me joy to hear them ask questions and to see their curiosity about who God is. I learned that their construction project was over and that they would be moving back to their town. I was sad to see them go, and they were sad as well. They shared with me that they will miss our gatherings together and that they hope that we will be able to meet again.

It was a great blessing for me that they knew the family that moved in after them. They are also here for a construction project. Because the first family shared about me with them, they were also excited to meet with me and start to study the Bible. I am thankful to see how God is moving in these hearts. I pray that the first family will remain steadfast, and that this new family will have a great desire for the Lord as well.

At the end of June, I had the great privilege and honor to visit the village of one of my former students. I was invited to share at a three-day conference there. I taught some essential Christian doctrine, such as: “What is sin?” “How sin entered the earth.” and “How sin separates us from God”. I also shared about why Jesus was born, His death and resurrection, fellowship with God in the Old Testament as well as the New Testament, and the Holy Spirit and how He resides in us. I was blessed to see the people come and sit very eagerly to hear about the Word of God. After each day of teaching, we went door to door and ask the people how we could pray for them.

Many shared their struggles and hardships. As we prayed with them, we also shared with them about the Living Hope we have in Jesus Christ. We also invited them to attend our conference teachings. We took the time to love on them with God’s love and have fellowship with them. To travel to this area from my house took me 15 hours by train and 2 hours by bus. I was completely blessed to have been given the opportunity to serve the Lord in this way. I am asking the Lord for more and more opportunities to share with people in this way. My heart is humbled to know that God uses us to increase His Kingdom.

I continue to see God moving and I know that it is because of the faithful prayers of all of you, God’s saints. Thank you for your faithfulness and commitment to move the Gospel forward.

In Christ,

Pastor 7*

Vincent Family August 2023 Missions Update

Greetings from Mexico,

Summer is here and last week we had our most amazing Vacation Bible School (VBS) ever, and in this update I want to tell you all about it. One of the signs of a healthy church is that it has families that have young children that are raising their kids in the ways of the Lord in the local church. And one of the most fun and effective ways that we do this, is through our summer VBS week.

This summer we had nearly 200 children signed up along with 40 teens, parents, and church staff committing to serve these wonderful little ones throughout the week. The theme of our summer camp this year was “Keepers of the Kingdom” which is a brand new curriculum put out by one of my favorite Christian organizations, “Answers in Genesis”! In this summer curriculum, each child was taught how to stand strong in today’s battle for truth in an age appropriate manner.

Our church was blessed to provide these children with a snack and lunch each day, along with a summer camp themed t-shirt. But to be honest, a major focus of the week was FUN FUN FUN! And there’s not a doubt that this summer’s VBS program set a world record for the most smiles! Every child had a blast, played with their friends, and got tired out with the fun activities and sports that they participated in throughout the day. But most importantly, each one of these precious little ones learned the truth of how they can be part of God’s Kingdom through salvation. They were also taught each day on the importance of the armor of God!

When our children’s pastor Oliver gave me the update on the week, I was so happy to hear that over 20 of these children made first time professions of faith that week. In Matthew 19:14, Jesus said “Let the little children come unto me” and there is nothing more important than giving children the opportunity to come to Him. I am so proud that our children’s ministry staff made the decision to present these precious little ones with the message of salvation. (Our teachers present the message of salvation in their weekly Sunday School classes as well!)

One of the highlights for me as a pastor was to see our Legends ministry in action. Our church has a bible study group we call the Legends which consists of our 55 and over English speaking friends that live here in Mexico and call Calvary Rosarito their church home. These “seasoned” saints served joyfully, and also kicked in financially to make this our most amazing week ever. They were also active in serving the children lunch and their daily snacks.

On another note, thank you for your prayers for my book, “The Sending Hub!” Because of your prayers, the English version of the book arrived here in Mexico just in time to have it at our yearly church planting conference that will be held next weekend. The book looks great, and I am excited to send one to you in the next month or two free to thank you for your faithful partnership over the years.

Finally, I want to thank you once again for your partnership with our family and ministry. God has truly done much more than we could ever ask or think. And all of the spiritual fruit that we have been blessed to witness, is yours! We love you!

Con mucho amor de Mexico,  (with much love from Mexico)

Mike, Sarah, Grace, and Daniel

#2-  That we would be able to print and publish the Spanish version of the book (Un Centro Enviador) soon and get it in the hands of the Spanish speaking world.

I am praying for more opportunities to meet with a man in our area who has heard wrong doctrine. I want to share more about what God’s Word truly says with him.I am thankful to see how God is moving in the hearts of a family here, and I pray that they will remain steadfast and have a great desire for the Lord.I had the opportunity to visit a village 17 hours away and share the Gospel there, where one of my former students lives. I am praying for more and more opportunities to share with people in this way, and my heart is humbled to know that God uses us to increase His Kingdom.

Thank you,

Growing in the Truth – Pastor 16* Update August 2023

Praise the Lord!

Greetings to you in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Thank you, dear partners, for your prayers and financial support. We are praying for your family and for your country. By the grace of God my family and I are doing well. God has kept us safe.

Last month I got the chance to share the Word of God during two different birthday parties and prayed for the people there.

My wife and I also visited a family in a village and prayed for them. The daughter-in-law who lives with the family is expecting a baby. She has been throwing up and not able to eat anything. Because of this, she is very ill and upset. She needed council along with medical treatment. I took my wife there (she is nurse) to give the woman some counselling. We had a nice time with her and prayed for the family. Last month, together with my family, we visited that same family again and had the fellowship with them. We had Bible study and prayed for them.

On July 3rd our new session of the Bible Institute started. We have 4 new students (above). We do not have the facility to accommodate more students.

Prayer Requests

  • Please pray for my children to grow in the Lord’s fear and knowledge.
  • Please pray that the Lord would intervene in the problem the world is facing.
  • Please pray for the village ministry of the local area. Please pray that the people will grow in Lord Word.
  • Please pray for sister S* to be healed. She has been admitted in the hospital because of vomiting.
  • Please pray for the students to have good understanding of the Word.

Blessings,

Kanyike Update July 2023

You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden.

Matthew 5:14

Dear Friends and Family,

In Uganda the short rainy season is almost over.  This season follows our very hot season when everything dries up and turns brown and dusty.  Now with the short season of rain we have had everything has come back to life and it is very green. Flowers are everywhere you look and you can smell them in the air.  The dry season was about 4.5 months it has only rained on and off for 6 weeks.  It amazes me how quickly the rain can make a difference and restore life.  This somehow speaks to me about how our witness of Christ can be that life-giving water to someone who desperately needs it.

Arise Christian Fellowship began as an outreach to the market people, mostly men, many of whom have almost nothing and often turn to substance abuse to numb their pain. The life-giving water of Christ and His salvation have changed so many of these people’s lives and like the vegetation after the rain, they are also beginning to bloom and grow.  These men are now the ones who are initiating outreaches and going to the market and streets of Kampala to evangelize.

Recently two of our guards, Fred and Jacob, who attend our church when on duty and attend local churches in their villages when they are at home, began to reach out to their communities with a joint effort from Arise and their home churches.  This has resulted in many new believers.  Through discipleship, Brian is helping these men to disciple those they lead to Christ.  We are thankful to our supporters who donated Bibles and tracts to give out towards evangelism and discipleship. At Arise we have offered various studies on discipleship and evangelism.  Soon we are praying to begin a new study on what we believe and how to share it.  We hope these men and maybe even some of those who they are discipling would come and be a part of it.  It has been exciting as a church to see men and women get saved, grow in their relationship with the Lord and then go out into the world whether here in Kampala or even further, we have a handful of members in Dubai/Abu Dabi and South Sudan, sharing their faith with others and helping them to grow.

Another evidence of growth this rainy season has been marriage and births. I think just about every month I could write about the newly engaged and married and then about the new babies.  Our church is definitely a young church. The believers are young in their faith as well as in age.  I am thankful for the number of marriages that are taking place.  In Uganda it is so common for men and women to live together and have children but never actually get married.  This is mostly due to the fact that most Ugandan parents still require a dowry which is often way more then a young couple could ever afford.  As people grow in the relationship with the Lord the emphasis on dowry or at least unachievable dowry is reduced and couples are able to marry instead of live in sin.  Children in Uganda are definitely seen as a gift from the Lord and most families are large.  This is probably from the history of sickness and war which has left Uganda with a high infant mortality rate.  Having many children also means many hands to work.  A man with many children is considered wealthy.  At Arise we have more than double the number of children and babies than adults.  We praise God and are thankful that we have the opportunity to raise up the next generation of believers.

Laylee wanted to give a testimony about prayer in this newsletter.  Laylee raises bunnies, they are probably her best friends.  Recently one of her bunnies gave birth and died the following day.  She was devastated, especially after we told her the babies would most likely die because they were too little for us to hand feed. She said she prayed for a miracle for those baby bunnies.  That night, very late, we received a call from one of the off duty guards.  He told us that one of his son’s rabbits had just given birth.  He wanted to know if he could quickly come get Laylee’s baby bunnies to bring to that mother so she could also feed them.  The babies all survived.

Thank you for praying for our family and for the ministry here in Uganda.

In Him,

Brian, Jill, Luke, Laylee, and Liana

Men and Women After God’s Own Heart – Pastor 15* Update July 2023

Greetings to you in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ! I thank God for your prayers and support!

It is Monsoon season, farmers wait for this to cultivate their field. It is supposed to be a joyful season, but it is very devastating in the North. There are floods and frequent land-slides in the mountains. Cities and villages in the plains are flooded, many people have died and so much economic loss has happened.

We have started a new session of our Bible School. We have eight students; four students who started last year and four new students. This semester the students are being taught: Proverbs, Gospel of Mark, Prison Epistles, Pastoral Epistles, Hebrews, Attributes of God, Church History and Homiletics. I am teaching Hebrews and homiletics. On Sundays, I have been teaching from Genesis. Thus far I have covered chapter 41 of Genesis in Sunday Services. I am blessed by being taught by the Holy Spirit before teaching to His people in the classes or in church.

One of the former students of our Bible Institute in the North has been serving the Lord faithfully in spite of persecution. He is pastoring a small fellowship. Last month he had pain in his stomach and went to the doctor. He got some medical tests and found that he has a stone in his kidney and a cyst in his liver. He had to go to the capital for the further tests to diagnose the cyst. The doctor told him that he has cancer. He has to take chemotherapy for 1 ½ years. Please pray for him.

We thank the Lord for adding new souls to our fellowship. Two new families from Hindu backgrounds are coming regularly to our Sunday Service. One of the families is made up of only a husband and wife. They are newly married. Both of them have been forsaken by their families because of their faith in Jesus. They are going through tough times. We talked to a Christian sister who owns a house in the city where no one is living. She has agreed to let them live there for free. Praise God- Jehovah Jireh!

Last month my wife and I were invited to preach the Word in a “Men and Women” conference. Two sessions were combined for men and women and one session was divided. My wife shared the Word to the women’s group in the divided session. I shared the Word in both combined sessions and also in the men’s group. My topic was “Men and Women after God’s Own Heart”.

My wife shared “Partaker of God’s blessing”. She shared from Ruth’s life. Praise God that the Lord used both of us and people were blessed.

Thank you so much for being partners in the ministry through your financial support and prayers. We do pray for you and your families. God bless you!

Faith Tempered by Fire – Pastor 11 Update July 2023

Dear Pastors, Partners, and Leaders!

Greetings to all of you from my church! May God bless you and your family very much, because you guys are always praying for us and always ready to meet our needs. By the grace of God, there are now house churches running in 8 villages. Last week I went to the North and met my co-workers. It was wonderful to hear how God is working through them. God is adding people to their ministry day by day. Thank God!

A Servant of God Suffered Persecution and Suffering

I thank God that He has given me the opportunity to meet a faithful servants and his family in the North. He graduated from our Bible Institute in 2019 during the lock-down. He went through a lot of persecution together with Pastor 9*. But thank God for his faith and patience. He suffered in the name of our Risen Lord Jesus Christ and remained faithful in sorrow.

When persecution came, many pastors stopped calling, meeting and talking to him, but he remained faithful. Now he is independently sharing the Gospel in his village. He is running a Sunday fellowship and 15 to 20 people come each week. Some servants of the Lord give them a tenth of their income. I was very excited to meet him. My wife was also very excited to hear his testimony.

A Woman Takes Care of 3 Children Despite not Having a Husband!

I thank God that He gave me the opportunity to meet a family who is very poor but strong in faith. When I went to the North last week, I met a woman who had 3 children. The father left the family. Earlier that woman used to live in a slum area with her 3 children. When my sister went there and shared the Gospel, she shared about how God took our family out of a similar slum and garbage dump. So that poor woman believed in God. Still, because of not having a husband, she used to pick up garbage day and night to sell it. But then my sister took her to her house and gave her a room to stay in. She introduced her to many Christian brothers and sisters. Different people started giving her jobs of washing dishes and cooking in their homes. They gave her a salary along with food. Through an American family, 1 of her children, who was handicapped, got leg surgery. Also, all of the children are now able to go to a very good school. God is also arranging for the payment of their school fees. Now she always listens to the Word of God and lives in the company of believers.

I Had a Great Time with my Friends and Wife’s Relatives!

I thank God that God gave me the opportunity to go to the North last week. Meeting friends is a great blessing. We went to visit many places in the mountain area with friends. I got the chance to learn many new things. I also got the chance to meet with my wife’s relatives. It was a great time to get to know them better and spend time with them.

I also preached the Gospel to her relatives. My wife’s mother’s younger brother is a Jehovah’s Witness. My wife’s mother’s elder brother is a staunch Hindu. When I was sitting with him, he started telling me about his deity. Later I shared the Gospel with him. He did not believe at that time, but I believe that one day he will surely accept the Lord.

Prayer Requests:

  • Please pray that God fulfills all of our needs.
  • Please pray for the people of our church to be strong in faith.
  • Pray for a believing lady of our church whose name is Pi*. Her husband became mentally ill a few days ago. Because of this, her family members torture her mentally and blame her. They are saying that her husband became mentally ill because she is a believer.
  • Please pray that one of my believing women’s name is Pu*. She has also been tortured very badly by her family members. They are preventing her from coming to church. They are forcefully taking her on a pilgrimage.
  • Please pray. Now in our area also, persecution has started on pastors. Just a few days ago, 10 to 12 people beat up a pastor and put him in jail on false charges.
  • Please pray. I want to organize a pastors’ meeting. I want to invite all the local pastors and try to bring them all together to one table. Almost all of the pastors are scared because of the persecution that has started.
  • Please pray for this cute baby (above) that is suffering from fits. He is about 10 months old.

Thank you for being a part in spreading the Gospel.

God bless you!

Pastor & Mrs. 11*
