Christ’s Gospel Is for All People

“Then the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people.”

Luke 2:10 NKJV

December was a great season of Christmas outreaches for our church family. God showed us the open doors, so we got the opportunity to hold four outreaches in different areas of the capital city. We had a great time of sharing Christ. So many people heard about “Why Christ Came to this World.” Our whole family was greatly involved in sharing the Gospel–even the children were amazing in distributing Gospel tracts to those who came to them. Praise God for the Christmas season!

Our Third Gospel Outreach

People were listening to the Gospel program from their rooftops, along the road, and from the open air shops.

Our Fourth Outreach (Outside the Church Area)

All of the believers, including the children, were busily distributing Gospel tracts. We distributed over 1500 Gospel tracts. Praise God for that!

We invited many friends and relatives to our church Christmas program. It was a good time to preach about Christ! Over 100 nonbelievers attended the program.

We had other Christmas outreaches in the East. Altogether, we did 11 outreaches.

Calvary Chapel South East Outreach

Last month, during the Christmas season, God led us to do many Gospel outreaches. I had been thinking of doing church visits after Christmas. However, God showed us the Gospel needs in the C.J. area, in the southeast of our country where the new Calvary Chapel has been planted. That part of the country is filled with orthodox Hindus and Muslims. Churches are very, very rare. It is very difficult to preach the Gospel in that area. We had been praying about how to reach that area with the Gospel. As the answer to our prayers, God helped us realize, “Why not share the Gospel during the Christmas season?” And we said, “Yes, let’s do that!”

Pastor Nikesh (from the Calvary Chapel in the area) invited some of the local people where we planned the Gospel outreach. Many, many people were gathered. People from the rooftops of surrounding houses and people passing by on the road heard the message and received Gospel tracts also! We were able to distribute around 400 Gospel tracts. In response to the outreach, some people showed up at Calvary Chapel the following week for Christmas. Praise God for that! God willing, we pray that we will have even larger outreaches next year.

Calvary Chapel Central Outreaches

Like we did in the South East, we were able to do five Gospel outreaches in the surrounding areas of the Calvary Chapel in the central part of the country.

Our First Central Outreach

This picture was taken at the first outreach. The elderly man in the chair used to be in the Nepali army. As we began the program, an elderly man was staring at us from the rooftop of his house across the road, in the blue house. After listening a while, he came with his wife and stayed until the end. When he left the program, he asked for more tracts, and said he would share with his family members also. People who were walking down the road, people who were listening from their rooftops, and also some people who came next to us, all heard the message.

Our Second Central Outreach
People who were in the area and from their houses heard us. Some received Gospel tracts as well.
Our Third Central Outreach
We began our third outreach in a different area. People listened from their houses, but did not want to come to the area where we were doing the program.
Our Fourth Central Outreach

After we finished the third outreach with a little sadness, we headed to our next outreach location. On the way, we saw people sitting on the ground. There were other people working on the roadside. So, we thought, “Why not take this opportunity to share the Gospel with them!” We sang Christmas songs, shared the Gospel, and distributed over 200 Gospel tracts. People responded positively!

Our Fifth Central Outreach

Finally, we did the fifth outreach near the Calvary Chapel in the area. People were listening to us from their rooftops, their open shops, and the road.

We pray that the Holy Spirit will speak to the hearts of whoever heard the Gospel message, and draw them to Himself. Amen!

God Gives the Increase!

This was the first time that all of us South Asia Calvary Chapel pastors and leaders came together for a conference. Praise God! It was really a wonderful time sitting together and pondering in the Word–getting closer to Jesus. God is growing us in Asia. It is great to see the saints being trained and equipped for new ministry.

Pastors’ Conference and Graduation

Pastors Conference: not only were there Calvary Chapel pastors, but we also invited pastors from the four corners of our country. They really appreciated the teaching. They are falling in love with the verse by verse Bible study.

Graduation: We had a wonderful experience of graduating students from two countries. I pray that God will use all of them for His work.

Brother Rabindra from Charis Bible Church also graduated this year. We are thankful to God and pray that God would use him more than before!

Meeting our dear ones at the Leper Colony and distributing daily need items

Whenever we meet our brothers and sisters in the Lord at the Leper Colony they are always happy and cheerful. We were able to distribute some of their daily needs. More importantly, we had a fun time singing and dancing with them in the Lord.

House fellowship– We had brother R* from a nearby country for the conference and he stayed a couple more days. I had an opportunity to take him to one of our house fellowships. Our believers there were really happy to hear brother R.* sharing from the Word.

Blessings!

Co-Laborers in Christ

Our co-leaders play important roles in the Church!

As the apostle Paul often mentioned in his letters, his co-laborers were a blessing in ministry. The same is true in our day.

It is so often thought that the once-a-week church service and good preaching make churches grow. However, there are some other meetings as well that play important roles in church growth. Praise God for the co-leaders that are faithfully serving the Lord according to their gifts.

He Who Has Begun a Good Work in You Will Complete It.

“For your fellowship in the gospel from the first day until now, being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ”

Philippians 1:5-6

Calvary Chapel Bible College

Our Bible College began this month. God has brought many young students from the four corners of our country. We are excited to spend time teaching and sharing blessings to each other from God’s Word.

Our Church in the City

“And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.”

Romans 8:28

God is good all the time! God loves His church. He makes it grow and mature through whatever circumstances we might have to go through.

Calvary Chapel J

It is such a wonderful blessing to see people coming to God’s Church. I’m thankful to our God for these two brothers, Laxman and Nikesh, and for their faithful work for God’s kingdom. Even though they are going through hard times and financial crisis, yet they are faithful for Christ. Praise God!

He Who Is Faithful Over a Few Things

Matthew 25:23 reads:

Calvary Chapel in the middle eastern part of the country

“His lord said to him, Well done, good and faithful servant; you have been faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.” NKJV

God’s Work at the Church Plants:

Brother Laxman’s family and brother Nikesh’s family were sent from our church to start a new work in two different places; in the middle eastern part of the country, and in the far east. They were sent by faith in the Lord and they have been faithful with their calling in spite of their family needs. I am pleased to share about what the Lord has been doing through their ministry in their respective communities. The Lord has been drawing people to His Church.

Our Church- the Lord has been working through His Church. We are praying and looking forward to start another new work in a district bordering our district. A Bible Study has already begun and we’re praying that it will turn in to a church soon!

Hungry for the Word of God

Last month, I had the opportunity to teach IBS at a small conference (left) in the East. People are hungry for the Word of God in such places of our country. The gospel is being preached and churches are being planted. Meanwhile, because of the lack of trained leaders, the churches are not being well fed and matured.

As I was there, I was moved by hearing the testimonies of church leaders. The leaders go across the border from time to time into another country. There they attend some sort of seminar. They teach what they learned to their churches a for couple of months and then repeat the same thing again. That is how the churches are being taught. There is really a need for the correct teaching of the Word.

We had a wonderful meeting with the church leaders of the area. We also talked about Bible college recruitment and planning an IBS conference in the future.

We also had a great time to visiting, hearing testimonies, encouraging and praying for the believers of a church plant in another area (left).

We had a children’s talent show (right) at our church. The children are growing and it is great to see them performing their talents for the Lord.

Equipping the Saints

“For the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ,”

Ephesians 4:12 (NKJV)

Student’s Hike

It was a wonderful time to hike and spend time in prayer with our dear students.

CCBC Music Class

Along with the Word of God, our students are learning music. It is going to be a great blessing for their ministry in the days ahead.

No Condemnation to Those Who Are in Christ Jesus

Sweet Fellowship at the Central Calvary Chapel Church Plant

Last month was filled with so many blessings. For the long time our church had been praying for a couple of places to start new church plants in. Now two church plants have been started! One is in a city in the central part of the country and the other one is in the East. We are very excited to see so many people being saved through Jesus Christ!

Some of our church leader’s families were able to visit those areas and encourage our fellow leaders’ families. Praise God for that!

Romans 8:1 (NKJV) reads:

Our new 2022 semester at Calvary Chapel Bible College has resumed. We are thankful to have more new students.

“There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death.”

His Mercy Endures Forever!

God has blessed our church so much! All of the members are safe. None of them have been affected by Covid. We have been continuing our worship service. Our online meetings are also going well.

Trip to Visit Believers

“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any trouble, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.”

Comforting Believers

(2 Corinthians 1:3-4 ). NKJV

Last month, I visited another place with brother Laxman to see the believers there. I especially comforted one of the believer’s family that had recently lost their father/husband.

In Thy Paths

Hebrews 12:1-2 reads:

“Therefore strengthen the hands which hang down, and the feeble knees, and make straight paths for your feet, so that what is lame may not be dislocated, but rather be healed.” (NKJV).

Our Weekly Worship Service

Though the government of our country has not been allowing church gatherings yet because of Covid, we have been worshiping the Lord together. We have been continuing our worship services and other online meetings (our daily women’s fellowship and weekly young adult meeting, prayer and Bible study, and children’s fellowship). We hope that we will all be able to gather together at the church building for services soon.

Blessings!
