Dear Friends and family,
Greetings in Christ Jesus, we all are doing good, and we hope and pray that you all are fine. I could not send an update last month; we all Christians were going through some tough time. Things were changing very fast; we sent some updates to our pastors in email but could not write an update for this page. We are thankful that you have always been praying for us. We pray for you.
Persecution in Pakistan
In the month of August, some Christians of a town here were allegedly accused of saying something wrong about the majority religion. There were terrible attacks on Christian community. more than 23 churches and about 100 houses were put on fire. We thank God that
though Christians lost much during this time. But their lives remained safe. God has been gracious. after this incident, a series of such incidents started and every day we were hearing new things, new threats and new rumors. It was terrifying tie for Christians in all parts of the country.
We very firmly believe that Christians in this country are for a very special reason, and we love this country and always pray for this. At the same time, we know from the scripture that Christians will be disliked, hated and persecuted for the sake of their Christian belief. Please continue to pray for the brothers and sisters in the Lord who lost much, who went through very painful experience. Please pray for the children specially, because this all was very much terrifying for them.
Village Church Building
We planted a church in the village many years before. The church was originally started in a
tent and then we had an iron roof shelter built on that place. As we shared in our last update (Village and Desert Church | MASSEY FAMILY (sgwm.com) we now need to change the place of that church. God has provided help to move to a new place in order to have a proper church building at that place. We are prayerfully working on that, and we will be updating you about this, so that you all may continue to pray for that.
Desert Mission and Online Classes
We have church planting project in the desert where we have weekly online Bible classes. We praise God that during all these years, the classes are going well, the interest of the people has
developed to study the books of the Bible with us. People come from different colonies of the city to participate in these classes. We are also working on online classes for the leaders (pastors and elders), so that they may lead other people well according to the true teaching of the Word of God.
Our Translation, video audio recording and mission project among unreached, disadvantaged and rejected is going well. Every Friday is our mission day, we are reaching many brick making families for many years. Please keep this all in your prayers. God bless you!
