Brian and Jill Kanyike – Kampala, Uganda – Thank you for praying for Jill. Her shingles are almost cleared. Pray for the effects to go away completely. – Pray for the women in Jill’s bible study to grow and for those who are not saved (2 Muslims and 1 alcoholic) to continue to come and for the Lord to touch their hearts. – Pray for the children to stay healthy as they keep passing coughs around. Pray for Brian to be well. – Please continue to pray the children would get called for their citizenship interview. – Many visitors are coming through the guest house from now till end of October. Pray for their time in Uganda and Sudan to be fruitful and for all the arrangements to come to pass smoothly. – Also please pray for safety as there have been a couple of terrorist attempts around Kampala the last 2 weeks. They age out of the afterschool program at age 12. We need more staff. – For our pastor’s wife, Elena, who was just diagnosed with thyroid cancer. The 10/40 Window The 10/40 Window is a rectangular geographic area stretching from North Africa through the Middle East to Asia, covering 68 countries. Two-thirds of the world’s population live within the 10/40 Window.Three out of every five people in the 10/40 Window have no access to the gospel. According to the Joshua Project, 68.6% of the 10/40 Window’s ethnic groups (5,984) are considered unreached, with a total population of 3.09 billion.(Some names and faces have been changed or omitted for security reasons.) |

Praise reports: – The Lord continues to open doors for ministry, meeting new people and sharing the Gospel with them. – I continue to see fruit in the new believers and an eagerness to know the Lord. Prayer requests: – I am looking to move closer to the village I minister in; pray that I can find a good place and for favor with the landlord. – Please pray for the believers I am shepherding to grow in the grace and knowledge of the Lord Jesus. – Please pray for continued open doors to minister to the youth. – Please pray for the young man I recently met, A, to open his heart to the Lord and be raised up to serve Him. – Please pray for full restoration of my mother’s health, for stronger lungs and the ability to walk without the help of a walker.Please pray that God would bring my helpmate. Worker 11 – 10/40 Window Praise Points: – Thank God, another believer in our church publicly showed faith in Jesus this month. – Thanks to the Lord for the rain; the farmers were able to cultivate the rice paddies. – Thanks to God, He is providing for all of our needs. – Thank God for giving me good health in spite of the heat. I did not have any major disease. – Thank you Lord for strengthening the believers in their faith and for giving them strength to face persecution. – Thank God that P began attending church again after her family prevented her from coming last month. Prayer requests: – Please pray for G.N. who is demon possessed. – Please pray for S.; she is only 5 and has swelling in her lungs. – Please pray for G. and his health problem. – A brother lives near our village and has mouth cancer. He believes in God and has also publicly shown his commitment to follow Jesus. Right now, his condition is critical. A few days ago he needed blood, and another friend and I donated blood for him. – Please pray that God will increase our church in the knowledge and faith of His Word. – Please pray for our country, that God will bring goodwill and love here. And that God will bring peace to those who are spreading hatred in the name of religion. – Please pray for R., who has been disabled for almost 21 years, and also for A., who has been mentally ill for almost 24 years. May God heal both of these believers. – Please pray for the believer in our church, P. Her husband has locked her in her house so that she cannot come to church. May God release her soon.Please pray for the heat here to go down. Due to the heat, my wife, my family an I have prickly heath. There are frequent power cuts, so we are not able to sleep well at night. Because of the crowd in our church, it is very hot during church. Worker 12 – 10/40 Window Prayer Requests: – Pray for me to be used for the kingdom of God and to reach places where the Gospel of God has not reached. – Pray for the growth of the church, and that we will grow more in the Lord. Please also pray for church registration if it is God’s will. – Please pray for our outreach ministry and for those who come with me; please pray for our protection and safety because we cannot drive easily because of the difficult roads. – Pray for our slum ministry, that the Word of God reaches the people and changes their lives. – Pray for our prison ministry. There are many prisoners who are innocent but are in prison. Pray for their release, and also for those who have heard the Word of God, that the Lord will deliver them so that they will be able to live a normal life.
