Update from the Field |
Pastor Anand has been faithfully serving in Kathmandu, Nepal for many years. Father of 2, he and his wife of 15 years, Usha, have a huge heart to train up and send church planters out to reach the most unreached peoples of the world. After being introduced to Calvary Chapel and being trained, he planted CC Nakhu and has been faithfully pastoring this church for 9 years. In 2017 they opened their first Calvary Bible School and since then they have graduated 40 students. These students study the Bible verse by verse and do outreach weekly in surrounding villages which include slums and a leper colony. They also take the students on an in-country | ![]() |
missions trip every semester. This past semester they partnered with CC West Grove and took all students to East Nepal to help serve at a youth conference as well as do outreach, evangelism and visit one of their church plants.Pastor Anand has several pastors helping him run the school. Pastor Prakash is Anand’s assistant at the school. Pastor Rabi and well as Pastor Pradeep are both helping to teach the students through the Bible. Please pray for the 28 students enrolled now that they would be trained in the word and that they would be stirred to church plant as God leads.Keeping with their vision to reach as many people as possible with the gospel, they also have a weekly radio program teaching the word of God to all of Kathmandu Valley. Pastor Anand and his other pastors are doing an amazing job pastoring and raising up the next generation of church planters. Please pray for them as they faithfully teach the word of God. Please pray they can continue this work and that God would continue to use their willing hearts to expand His kingdom in one of the most unreached areas of the world. |

Calvary School of Missions and Sending |
This year’s Calvary School of Missions is right around the corner and we are anticipating another amazing summer filled with new adventures. This 6-week summer program held in Rosarito, Mexico has been used as a catalyst for many to find their way to full- time work doing cross-cultural ministry and church planting. This past year we have had the privilege to see 4 of our CSOM graduates move full time to the middle east where they have started language and culture studies. After going through the school and then our internship program, it was awesome to finally send them out as a team. Another one of our CSOM graduates who went through our intern program has been living in this same country for over a year now. He has recently returned state side as he is getting married. He and his new wife, also a CSOM graduate and intern, will return to this middle eastern country to continue their studies in Arabic and learning culture. This team of 6 will be joined by another one of our CSOM graduates in October making the team 7. Each of them have a passion for church planting amongst the most unreached peoples of the world and we are blessed to partner with them as they step out in faith to see what God will do. We are also praising God that one of our graduates who interned with us has also moved to South Asia and is partnering with one of our church plants there where her husband is an assistant pastor. It’s thrilling to see the culmination of our vision for the School of Missions to send out workers to the most unreached countries of the world and we are excited to see what God is going to do with each of these missionaries’ lives. And we believe that God has many more whom He is calling to the field and we are looking forward to playing a part in their journey to GO! Please continue to pray for this year’s School of Missions and that God would give these students a heart for the most unreached peoples of the world. Thank you for your continued love and support! |
