Blessings from Pakistan!

Dear Friends and Family,

Happy New Year! As we have entered into a New Year, we praise God for His grace and blessings and we want to thank you for your prayers and support. Your support of Calvary Chapel Pakistan is a great encouragement and very special blessing for our family and the people of Pakistan among whom we are serving. We praise God for bringing us together to serve Him! During the year 2012 the Lord led us in many new areas of ministry and opened many new doors to equip the saints in Pakistan.  I am excited to share this with you:

Daily Bible Studies in Christian School:

The Lord gave us the opportunity to teach within a local High School.  More than 500 students, plus the faculty and staff wanted to sit in and learn.   We had started humbly with two weekly Bible Classes in that facility but now we have been asked to teach the young children too.  This will increase our classes from two to all five days of the week.  I  will continue teaching the older students and the faculty and staff, and my team mate Joseph Arif will teach the young ones. The Word of God has proven to be so powerful throughout our time of teaching.  We have  seen God’s grace and power work in phenomenal ways. Please pray for His continued blessing upon our Bible Studies.

Sunday Schools:

During the past year the Lord blessed us to reach children in about 25 villages.  This encompassed about 1,000 students.  We were able to establish Sunday Schools in those villages with the help of the local villagers.  We have encouraged a few educated people from each village to step forward and teach their children the Word of God.  We provide them study material for the children and guidance for the Sunday School Teachers.  We visit them on a regular basis and provide oversight.  We have been so blessed to see these young ones growing in faith.

Urdu Bible Distribution:

We were able to reach villagers with the Good News of the Salvation through the shed blood of Jesus Christ and Urdu Bible Gifts for them.  The provision of Urdu Bibles for these villagers is the greatest gift. We praise God for the provision of the Urdu Bibles for His people.  We are thankful to those great people who have been supporting this Free Urdu Bible Project through “Running, Blood Donation, Saving Coin or sending donations”.  We highly appreciate your partnership and are ever thankful.

Anti-Cult Seminars:

The Lord has blessed us to share the truth of His Holy word and bring awareness about the Cultic teachings spreading so fast all around.  During last year we were able to share information about cults with thousands of people through seminars and printed material.  We have been invited by many schools, colleges and many churches not only in our own town but in some neighboring cities also.  We praise God for this opportunity to help people know the truth and be set free!  Many young men have in our town have come out of Mormonism into Jesus Christ.  We were able to produce pamphlets to use  in other cities of the country to help them beware of all these cults and their dangerous Teachings!

Visions for 2013

Womens Ministry:

We praise God that he has blessed and guided us to a women’s ministry this year.  We all know how important this ministry is so finally we are able to start in the villages where we have planned to start home churches.  My wife, Farah will be sharing the word of God with these ladies to help them grow in faith and help them build Christ Centered families.

Farah will also start visiting our Sunday Schools in the different villages, and she will help mobilize those ladies who are Sunday School Teachers.  She will also encourage the women of their village to start having weekly fellowship.  We believe this ministry will have a very positive effect on Christian families, Sunday schools in the villages and even village home churches.  We request you to please keep this special ministry, the needs for this ministry and my wife Farah in your prayers.

Home Church Fellowship at Villages:

We have been praying to start Calvary Chapel style (Through the Bible verse by verse) Bible study fellowship along with our weekly Bible Classes at Christian High School.  The Lord has answered our Prayers and now we are able to start this Bible Study Fellowship (a home church) at a village.  People of the villages are less reached and though they are Christian by birth,  most of them are not “Born Again” Christians.   The times are getting more intense and dangerous for Christians. We believe that it is extremely necessary that people have the opportunity to gather together and be strengthened by the Word, by worship, prayer and fellowship with one another.  They need to be grounded well into the Word of God.  Sharing the whole counsel of God, verse by verse Bible Study will help them understand the Word of God and God’s awesome plan for their salvation through the shed blood of Jesus Christ.  A strong fellowship group with one another and with knowledge of the Word, will also help sustain them as the intensity of persecution increases.

We are praying with and for the people of village Bhatti Pungo where we will start our first Bible Study Fellowship. We highly appreciate your prayers for our outreach mission in Bhatti Pungo!

Sermon Audio Recording:

In Pakistan we have very limited Biblical study material, and a large majority of the people in the villages are not educated. We had prayed for the opportunity to create and distribute audio and video teachings last year but we were not able to do it. We continue to pray about this and desire to record audio sermons this year. These will provide people free excess to them to be benefited and grow in faith.

We wish to utilize all the study we do to teach and preach and all the notes we have as many people learn as possible. We cannot record these sermons in the village churches, but will be doing that at home. This is a big project, and this we believe is going to be very much effective as well. We’ll appreciate your partnership and prayers!
