God Has Answered Our Prayers! – Rabi Update June 2025

“For this child I prayed; and the LORD hath given me my petition which I asked of him:”

 1 Samuel 1:27 (NKJV)

By the grace of God, we have become parents! God heard our prayers that we prayed during these past six years. We faced a lot of problems and also discouraging words from other people. We felt like we had no hope in this world, but we always hoped and fully trusted that Jesus could hear our prayers and that He would certainly give us a baby. Thank you for praying with us and supporting us in this difficult situation. God gave us a baby!

When our baby was born, we were so happy. The nurse let us look at our baby and take pictures. Unfortunately, we could not hold him. She told us that in 30 minutes, they would give us our baby and we would be able to hold him. We waited very long hours, but we did not get our baby. After many hours, the doctor told me that our baby had to be in the NICU for several days, because his blood sugar levels were not correct. I became very upset and was crying so hard. I ran to my beautiful wife, who had a C-section surgery. For days, I went go back and forth between my wife and our baby to be with both of them. I was so happy, but I was not allowed to hold our child. Suddenly, this made me feel very sad.

Three days ago, we were able to bring our baby home! He spent 9 days in the hospital. He is now healthy. We are praying that our baby will do great work in the Kingdom of God.

For Christians, death is not the end, but the beginning of a new life with God. This is the message I shared with my church on Easter Sunday. I told our church to be witnesses of Christ and to be ready to do God’s work and share the Good News with everyone.

God loves people, so we should also love them, teach them, equip them, and finally, love to serve them. Another ministry we are doing is at the leper colony. We have Bible study every Friday with the people at the leper colony. Our Bible school students are doing their practical ministry there. They are able to learn how to preach, how to serve, and how to fellowship. By the grace of God, we are currently teaching the Gospel of Matthew. Each week, over 20 people attend the Bible study. Please pray that other unreached people around the leper colony will come to our Bible study. God is using me to train up these lepers, who have become Christians.

By the grace of God, this semester I have already been able to finish the Gospel of John. I love to teach my dear students and they also enjoy learning.

In our home church, I am teaching the Book of 1 Peter.

Another update is both happy and sad. Happy, because my mother went to be with the Lord at the age of 62. It was my mother that taught me how to be a Christian and to continue doing the service of the Lord.

Sad, because we miss her every moment. We miss her presence in our home and at our church. We had a memorial service for her.

My beautiful wife is also helping me. She encourages young and old women in God’s Word. She is teaching through a social platform, doing Bible study online with many women from different churches. She has finished teaching the Book of Genesis, which has taken 1.5 yrs to teach chapter-by-chapter and verse-by-verse. Now, she is teaching the Book of Revelation on Sundays. Since our baby was delivered, she is taking some time to rest. After her health recovers, she will continue to teach and train them.

More people are attending our church. More teens and young adults are attending, and we also do children’s ministry. Please pray that more parents will allow their children to come to our church.

We went to visit one of our church believer’s home, to spend time with them and have fellowship together. One of the family members in this home had been very ill. No medical treatment had worked, no witch doctor treatment had worked. The doctor told him that he would not live. He will definitely die. He had a problem caused by demonic power, and his nervous system would not work well. He was like a paralytic for years. Now, this year, God did a miracle in his life! He is changed and from that time to this time, he and his whole family have accepted Jesus as their Lord and Savior! Pray that Brother Nabin will be healed completely. Please also pray that if he becomes well physically, and can see clearly with his eyes, that he will join Bible college and show interest in doing God’s work.

Pray Requests:

  • Pray that God will bring more people to our church.
  • My friend Sujan always reads the Bible. He comes to church every week. Pray He will accept Jesus as His personal Savoir.
  • Pray that parents will allow their children to come to our church.
  • Many people in the area surrounding the church hear the Gospel and the Word of God. Pray that they will accept Jesus and come to church.
  • Pray that God will help our church to be able to have more types of musical instruments.
  • Some times the church hall becomes full and we have difficulty adjusting. Pray that God will provide for us.

Thank you so much for supporting us, praying for us and raising us up. God bless every entire family of Saving Grace.

Grace and Peace,

Your faithful servants,

Rabi and Mahima

God Is Working in Amazing Ways – Pastor 3 Update May 2025

Dear Ministry Partners,

Greetings to you all in the matchless Name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!

We deeply express our heartfelt gratitude to the almighty God for His glorious mercy upon my family. At the same time we appreciate each one of you for your valuable prayers and financial support. Because of your financial help, we are able to move forward with the Gospel of Christ Jesus to the unreached without any worry. As a family we have been praying for you, for your family, ministries, jobs and businesses. May the good God bless you with every resource and good health.

In February, our Church hosted a Bible quiz competition under the Trans World Radio (TWR) program. It was wonderful that most of our church members and our CBI students participated in it. By God’s grace one of our CBI students got first prize in the district level and one of our church members received third prize.

“Whereupon, O king Agrippa, I was not disobedient unto the heavenly vision:”

(Acts 26:19)

This verse was the theme for our March family conference. We had a wonderful, blessed time during the three day-conference. Our previous graduates also joined us. It was great time to see them and their wives and children. We could also hear some of their testimonies. God is working amazingly through them in the mission field.

On the last day of our family conference, we had a graduation program. Altogether 8 students graduated. We had immense joy receiving our special guest who shared from the Word of God and witnessed this event.

Last month, God helped me visit some of our graduates in another state to see their ministry. It was wonderful experience to visit the remote villages and see how God is working among the unreached communities there. We had a great youth meeting in one of the churches. God helped me encourage them through the Word of God and motivate them in God’s mission. As a result three young adults committed their lives to God’s ministry. Next semester they are planning to join our CBI.

Prayer Requests:

  • Please pray for all of the graduates. May God use them as they return home.
  • We are recruiting new students for our upcoming CBI semester. Please pray that God will help us to have committed students.
  • Continue to pray for my daughter’s education.
  • Continue to pray for the growth and needs of our local church.
  • Kindly pray for me and my family. May the Lord use us for the expansion of His kingdom.

Thank you very much for your prayers and support!!

In Him,

Pastor 3* and Family

Standing on God’s Promises – Pastor 15 Update May 2025

Greetings from our country! We thank our God for His protection and grace. Thank you for your continued prayers and support! The devil has been trying to stop the advancing of God’s kingdom, but he has not been able to do so. Christ is the builder of the kingdom of God (the church). It is His promise that the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. Our state government is planning to pass anti-conversion laws to prevent people becoming Christians and to throw pastors in jail. We need your continued prayers that we will proclaim the Gospel boldly.

Praise the Lord! We were able to complete the fourth semester of Calvary Bible Institute. We had our reunion and graduation ceremony on April 5th. Most of our former graduates from our state attended it. Some of them have gotten married and came with their spouses and children. We had wonderful time listening to their stories of how the Lord has been working through them. We thank the Lord that most of our graduates are doing church planting in spite of heavy persecution in our state.

Prayer Requests:

  1. Please continue to pray that the Lord will give us wisdom and boldness to preach the Gospel and also to equip many more laborers for the work of the Gospel.
  2. Please pray for protection and God’s provision for our graduates who are doing church planting ministries.
  3. Please pray for the students who graduated last month to be used by the Lord to advance His kingdom.
  4. Please pray that our state will become a Christian state in our country.

Thank you for partnering with us in spreading the Gospel, through your prayers and financial support.

God bless you and your family!

Co-workers in Christ,

Pastor 15* Family

Boldly Proclaiming that Jesus Is Risen – Milan Update May 2025

Our Easter Sunday Celebration

This Easter Sunday our district experienced a beautiful and powerful testimony of unity and faith! Thousands gathered to celebrate the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ! Believers from over 100 churches across the district came together as one body, marching to the district headquarters and boldly proclaiming that Jesus is Risen!

It was a moving moment as we worshiped together in one accord — a true reflection of the unity of the Church. During the program, I was humbled to share the message of Easter — the hope, life, and salvation we have through Jesus Christ.

People from all backgrounds, including many politicians, attended and heard the Gospel. We believe the Lord is working in our district. We pray that many more hearts will come to know Jesus personally.

Let us continue to lift up our district in prayer. May this Easter spark a greater spiritual awakening in our district and beyond.

Thank you,

Milan

Sowing the Seeds of the Gospel – Anand Update May 2025

We are grateful for the faithful service of Pradeep, who continues to minister alongside Calvary Bible Institute and the local church. Since completing his Bible College training, God has provided him with multiple opportunities to serve within the ministry team. His commitment has been a great blessing.

Here is a summary of how Pradeep is currently serving:

  • Bible Teaching: Pradeep is teaching courses at the Bible College this semester, specifically focusing on the Old Testament and Theology. His classes have been a valuable part of the students’ spiritual growth.
  • Church Ministry: Pradeep works closely with Pastor Anand, assisting in various church ministries and activities. His involvement helps strengthen the church community and outreach efforts.
  • Youth & New Believer Discipleship: Pradeep guides the church youth and newcomers through foundational Bible teachings, helping them grow in their understanding of God’s Word.
  • Student Support: He offers extra classes, such as English, to enrich and support the students’ overall development.
  • Digital Ministry: In addition to teaching, Pradeep creates online Bible applications, commentaries, and study materials aimed at reaching a global audience.
  • Translation Work: Pradeep is also actively translating English Bible commentaries and Christian resources into Nepali, making biblical materials more accessible to local believers.
  • Family Update: On a personal note, Pradeep and his family have been blessed with the arrival of a baby girl. He is joyfully embracing the new responsibilities of fatherhood.

We thank God for Pradeep’s heart to serve and for the many ways that God is using Pradeep to build up the church and equip future leaders. Please continue to keep Pradeep, his family, and his ministry in your prayers.

Our Courtyard Outreach

We had a wonderful time on Resurrection Day. Everything went smoothly and the weather was beautiful. Over 100 people attended the outreach. Our students led a powerful time of worship with songs, dances, skits, and meaningful explanations.

We also enjoyed a great lunch together. A football team joined us, which included 25 young adults. We shared the message from John chapter 4 about the Samaritan woman.

We believe the Holy Spirit has planted seeds in good soil, and we are praying for a harvest—30, 60, and even 100 times more. May all the glory go to God!

Prayer Requests:

  1. Please pray that the new family will remain strong in their faith, grow deeply in the Word of God, and become a shining light for Christ in their community.
  2. Please pray for strength, wisdom, and continued guidance for Pradeep as he faithfully serves in teaching, discipleship, digital ministry, and translation work. Pray also that God will bless his family—especially with the new baby—as they grow together in faith and service.
  3. Please pray that the seeds sown during our Resurrection Day outreach will take root and bear lasting fruit for God’s glory. Please especially pray for the youth and the football team.

Thank you,

Anand and Usha and Family

Boldly Proclaiming the Gospel – Pastor 6 Update May 2025

Hello Family in Christ!

We are so thankful for God’s grace in bringing us into this new year. We can’t wait to see what God has in store for us this year. We are so grateful for your prayers and support. You truly are part of the ministry that God has allowed us to be a part of.

Church Outreach

It is so inspiring to see believers embracing their faith and spreading the Gospel to those who have been left behind by their families! We had an incredible opportunity to share the Gospel with people. It was so rewarding to see church believers stepping out of their comfort zones and going out to spread the Word. You know our vision. God’s purpose in our hearts, is to equip people to be passionate servants of Jesus Christ. We are so grateful to God and His Word for giving life to those who receive it.

We went out as a church to share the Gospel with people who were sick and deeply affected by diseases. There were people who were lost and had no hope of life or life after death. We spent time with them, singing songs, and sharing the Gospel. We could see genuine joy on their faces as we praised Jesus and shared the truth. We believe God has moved their hearts to see the truth. We prayed for them and had lunch together. Please continue to pray for them. Many people have died there due to infections and other illnesses .

Gospel Outreach

We embarked on a mission to the tribal community to share the Gospel with those who had never encountered Jesus Christ or the message of Salvation. We were astounded by the receptivity of the people to the Gospel, as it possesses the power to profoundly impact lives.

As we shared about John 6:44, “No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws them, and I will raise them up at the last day,” we witnessed God’s grace opening their hearts to the truth. While we shared the Gospel with a young group, an unexpected surge of interest occurred. Several young individuals approached me, captivated by the message I was conveying.

At that moment, I felt compelled to boldly proclaim the Gospel. I sensed a powerful divine presence guiding my actions, and I shared the Gospel with them. They engaged in numerous inquiries, expressing a keen desire to learn more about God. We offered them several Bibles, which they eagerly accepted.

Our hearts were filled with joy as we witnessed the reception of the Word of God with such enthusiasm. Furthermore, they recognized the falsity of their previous practices and worship of idols, acknowledging their mute state.

Calvary Chapel Conference

We had a wonderful time at the conference in the city. We were delighted to see all our brothers and sisters who are serving in various parts of our country. We learned many valuable lessons from the teachings. The conference’s central theme was “The Development of the Man of God”. We are deeply grateful to those who taught at the conference to provide guidance and equip us for the divine call upon us.

Women’s Ministry (My Wife’s Update)

What an amazing God we serve! I would like to express my sincere gratitude to those who have been praying for and encouraging me as I lead women in our church. Thank you for your prayers and support.

As you are aware, women from different states and backgrounds who speak different languages come to our church. However,we have a common language. We hold weekly Bible studies on Wednesdays, focusing on the book of Philippians. God has been imparting wisdom to us through this book, emphasizing the importance of joy and patience. This letter has been particularly encouraging us to fix our eyes on God.

Many of our church members face significant challenges in following Jesus. Some of them are compelled to attend church secretly due to the fear of being beaten and evicted from their homes by their families if they are discovered.

Our vision is to foster growth in the Word of God and encourage believers as they journey in Christ. We are also actively praying to be able to visit the homes of those who have yet to hear the Gospel.

I am pleased to share about the recent women’s conference, which was a resounding success. Over 60 women attended the conference. We were honored to have Sister H* present, who shared the Word of God on the essential qualities of godly character that women should have. Her message deeply encouraged and blessed us.

Please continue to pray for the women’s ministry here at our Calvary Chapel.

Children’s Ministry

In our church, we hold weekly children’s ministry sessions. They provide an opportunity to educate and nurture young minds about the teachings of Jesus Christ and the profound stories from the Bible. Despite their diverse religious backgrounds, many of these children express a deep love for Jesus and engage in prayerful devotion to Him. Witnessing their reverence for God fills our hearts with immense joy and gratitude.

We are immensely thankful for the educational resources and engaging activities that facilitate the children’s spiritual growth and knowledge of God. Through these efforts, we have witnessed the children’s profound understanding of the Word of God and their deep connection to their Savior.

I would like to share the remarkable story of N*, who is now eight years old. We had the privilege of meeting her when she was only three or four years old. Tragically, she fell from a two-story building. She sustained severe injuries, including a fractured skull. During this challenging time, we fervently prayed for her recovery. After four long years, we are overjoyed to see her thriving. God’s remarkable healing touched her life. She is now ready to participate in our children’s ministry. It was a heartwarming experience to reunite with her after such a long time/ We express our profound gratitude to God for His unwavering love and care in her life.

Once again, thank you for your prayers and support, Please continue to pray for us.

Thank you,

Pastor 6* and Family

Medical Camps and Outreaches – Prakash Update May 2025

Calvary Bible Institute Update: Our CBI Nepal spring semester started in February. We now have 22 students. Praise God for men and women who have left everything to learn from His Word.

Medical Camps in Three Different Locations

Medical Camp in the Capital

The first medical camp station was at our church in the capital city. Over 150 people, including both believers and nonbelievers, were treated through the camp. The camp had three doctors (a general doctor, a dentist and an eye doctor), and two pharmacists.

Gospel and prayer station

After each patients saw the doctors they went through the prayer station where we shared with them and prayed for them.

Outreach

We had two wonderful outreaches in this area, a women’s outreach and a children’s outreach.

Women’s Outreach:

Over 50 women came to the outreach. It was a wonderful, and meaningful outreach.

Children’s Outreach:

We had another wonderful outreach. Over 50 children attended. Initially we had planned the outreach in the worship room at Pastor Laxman’s house, that barely fits 15 people. When the team saw that the kids could no longer fit inside the room, we moved them outside on the walkway. The team share with a story and action songs. The kids were very excited to listen and to be part of the outreach. We pray that this will open up a way for them to come to church.

Our Second Medical Camp:

At our second medical camp, over 160 people, including both believers and nonbelievers, were treated at the camp.

Prayer Station:

After each patients saw the doctors they through the prayer station where we shared with them and prayed for them.

Our Third Medical Camp:

Around 100 people, including believers and nonbelievers, were treated at the camp.

Outreach:

I am always grateful to share about outreaches among in this area. I praise God for the short-term mission team. I thank God for their hearts for these people. Whenever short-term mission teams come from those churches, they love to see and share love with these people. This time the team provided some snacks and clothes along with sharing with these people. Initially the people group isolated themselves from other people, but now they sit and talk with us easily.

Thank God for the changes He is making in these people!

The team also visited the homes of the people. They were overwhelmed after the visits.

Blessings!

Prakash & Muna

With God, All Things Are Possible- Pastor 11 Update May 2025

Dear Pastors, Leaders and Supporters,

Greetings to all of you. I thank God that He is really great. He is a God who makes everything possible. He is a faithful God. God has protected us from all kinds of trouble and suffering. Even though Christians are being targeted and persecuted because there is going to be an election here, God is giving us chances to share the Gospel with our people.

God gave me the opportunity to take the Good News to two new villages.

I am always grateful to God that He has given me two areas where people are hearing the name of the Lord Jesus Christ for the first time through us.

I see many churches stealing each other’s sheep and fighting for each other’s believers. But, God be praised, my father and I are going to every house in the area and taking the Good News. I like Romans 15:20 so much. Paul says that the passion of my heart is to go and take the name of Jesus to those places where the name of Jesus has not reached.

Similarly, God gave us the opportunity to go to two villages where we prayed for the women of the village. I preached the Gospel through the Words of Jesus Christ. Most of these women live alone in their homes with their children. Their husbands have gone to big cities to work as day laborers. They come back only during big festivals. I thank God that when we preached the Gospel to them, they listened very carefully. Since then every Sunday they come from very far away to our church. They even have to switch vehicle rides about 3 different times each way.

A woman from our church was scolded and chased away by people from a violent radical Hindu group when she came to our Sunday service. When we went to her village, her own son started abusing her in front of us.

We went to the houses of all of the people who were scolded and chased away by the people of our village who are part of radical Hindu groups. When we went to the house of the woman who was chased away from our village on Sunday, she welcomed us very well. As soon as her son returned from work and saw us there, he started abusing his mother very badly right in front of us. The poor woman could not say anything to her son. She just kept crying. I was very saddened to see that the child to whom she gave birth to and raised by fulfilling his every need, abused his mother because of the name of Jesus Christ. His mother later told us that to stop her from coming to church, he once beat her so badly that he broke her hand. Please pray for this woman. She is the only believer in her village. Her daughter also has faith but she lives with her in-laws in a big city. Now this woman also went to a different city to work and be free from her son.

My dream came true when for the first time a pastor from Saving Grace came to our area to meet me.

I thank God that He really fulfills the wishes of those who are devoted to Him. I have been wishing for many years that someone from Saving Grace would come to meet me here. God sent two people! Spending time with them was very good for us. For the first time, some white-faced foreigners came to our place. Because of that people stared at them. I took them to about three villages to see my ministry area. People stared at them and insisted on taking their photos.

We had arranged meetings in 5-6 more villages where we go monthly and also in some places that we go to weekly. We knew that to prevent problems, the story of them coming and their photos should not be put on social media. Because of the situation, we cancelled the other meetings and went to a place to study the Bible. There, Pastor J* taught us from 1 Timothy. I translated from English for my wife for the first time. Spending time with them was a great blessing for us. They also taught us how to give weekly reports. We were praying for many days before they arrived that neither we nor they would face any kind of problem. I thank God that so far, there has been no problem.

We had a great time at a conference with Pastor B* in another state.

I thank God that He gave me the opportunity to go to the conference. I got a viral fever, cough and cold after going there. But the teaching was very good. Pastor B* taught us how we can become God’s man. Pastor A* also filled us with enthusiasm and excitement. Spending time with the pastors from the North and the South was a very exciting. I thank God for giving me this wonderful opportunity.

A woman who was beaten and locked in the house by her entire family to stop her from coming to church.

The Lord Jesus Christ said in His Word that unless you take your plough and follow me, you will not be my disciple.

Jesus Christ also said that when people persecuted me, they will persecute you too. I am always thankful to God that He has given me a church that is still strong in the Lord despite suffering. There is a woman who always comes to our church. I also encourage her. During Bible study I give her a chapter of Psalms which she reads and talks about with us. Yesterday evening, when she was getting ready to come, her husband told her not to go to church. She said that she was going. Her husband gave her a lot of work to do so that she would not be able to come to church. But the poor lady completed all the work quickly and then came to to our church yesterday. As soon as she got home from church, her husband, mother-in-law and other family members beat her a lot, took away her children and sent her to her mother’s house. The poor lady was crying and praying. She called us to tell us. When her mother saw that she was talking to us on the phone, she grabbed the phone from her and broke it. Our entire church, prayed for her and God heard our prayers. She came to our church again last week, thanks to God!

Praise Points:

  • Thanks be to God! This month God gave me the opportunity to bring the Good News to two more new villages. Many women heard the news of the Lord Jesus Christ for the first time!
  • Praise be to God! God heard the prayers of my family and you all. My wife is pregnant now.
  • Praise be to God! Some pastors from Saving Grace came to visit us. We had a very good time with them. God let everything happen safely.
  • Thanks be to God! The conference was very good.

Prayer Points

  • Please pray for my wife. May God keep my wife and child safe. I am thinking of sending them to another city in the coming days because there is no good doctor here.
  • Please pray continuously. A woman named P* in our church was beaten up by her family members, her Bible was snatched away and she was locked in the house. When she spoke to us on the phone, they took her mobile too. May God release her quickly so that she can come to the house of God.
  • Please keep praying that the believers in our church may be strong in God’s Word even through persecution.
  • Please keep praying about the coming elections. May God give us a government that will not make any kind of deterrence in spreading the news.
  • Please keep praying that God will open up doors to more villages where we can spread the Good News.

May God bless you all!

Pastor & Mrs. 11*

Empowering, Serving, and Sharing God’s Love – Anand Update May 2025

New Beginnings

We have five new students in our Bible college. Now, we have a total of 21 students. Six students will complete their studies at the end of this semester. This semester, our first-semester students are studying Genesis, 1, 2 & 3 John, and James. All of the students are also learning from Exodus, Isaiah, the Gospel of John, and Revelation. The semester will last for four months, from February to May. We will focus on community outreach during this time. Every Sunday evening, our students go out for a couple of hours to share the Gospel. Please pray for them as they continue to grow in God’s Word. May the Lord bless their learning and ministry!

Prayer Requests:

  • Pray for the new students as they begin their studies. Pray that they may grow in their knowledge of God’s Word and become strong in their faith.
  • Pray for the students’ outreach efforts every Sunday evening. Please pray that their efforts to share the Gospel will bear fruit in the community.

Faith in Action

We are thankful to have Dhan and Bijay as interns at our Bible College. They were both excellent students during their time here. Dhan graduated in November 2023, and Bijay graduated in October 2024. Though both of them have lost their earthly fathers, they have found comfort in God as their Father.

Dhan and Bijay are a big help at the college. They are always ready to serve wherever is needed. Every week, they take students out to share the Gospel. They also support students in their studies and help them grow spiritually. Sometimes, they even help in the kitchen. They always have a joyful attitude.

Both Dhan and Bijay are talented Bible teachers and love sharing God’s Word. We are truly thankful for their lives and for their commitment to serving God in His ministry.

Prayer Requests:

  • Pray for Dhan and Bijay as they continue their internship. Pray that they may be encouraged and strengthened in their service.
  • Pray for their ministry efforts, that God would continue to use them powerfully to teach His Word and lead others to Christ.

Blankets of Love

There are many valleys that the Gospel has not yet reached. There are no Christians or churches in those areas. People there put their hope in things that are not true. They are misguided, hidden from the truth, and have never been told the truth for generations. They are content with their own way of life. Their homes have high walls. Outsiders are not allowed in or welcomed.

We were wondering how we could help these people. One of our friends asked them what their greatest need was. They said that needed blankets more than anything else. So, we decided to provide a blanket to every household. We were unsure how we would be able to buy 200 blankets for the people in the valley, but we know that our God can do the impossible.

People came to receive the blankets. We were able to share the Gospel with them, which is warmer than any blanket. Please pray for these Himalayan people to come to know the warm love of Jesus.

Prayer Requests:

  • Pray for the people in the Himalayan valleys to be open to hearing the Gospel and to experience the warmth of God’s love.
  • Pray for the success of the blanket distribution. May it be a meaningful way to build relationships and share the Gospel.

Thank you,

Anand and Usha and Family

March/April 2025 Harris Update

Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your toil is not in vain in the Lord.1 CORINTHIANS 15:58

Traditional Acholi escort of the school leaders

I sat down and wondered how time had gotten away from us, how we managed to let a whole month slip by without writing home and letting you know how we are and what has been happening. Looking at the list Matt wrote to help me; well, now I remember how time got away from us. So many things have happened that it will be hard to include most of them beyond just mentioning them. From the student’s triple wedding, the Terebinth graduation, preparing official college-level courses for the accreditation, to our school registrar lamentably breaking his back. Also starting men’s and women’s soccer leagues in Adak, helping a new friend get testing for a 7-year-long sickness, and Emma turning 10, along with receiving additional visitors, our dear friends the Schroetlins, who joined the visiting team from Rocky Mountain Calvary. Yes, it has been a very full time since you last heard from us, and I am excited to share a few of the highlights with you. Finally, after 3 years of sacrifice by students and their families, a week of studying hard every single month, hearing teaching after teaching, discussing, writing, practicing in real life, and ultimately maturing in the Word of God, 36 men graduated from our school. Ranging from their early 20’s up to late 60’s, these were senior pastors, church leaders, and earnest disciples striving to understand Scripture. Our entire team, both Ugandan and American, worked tirelessly to prepare and deliver sound biblical teachings, insightful workbooks, fair testing, organize the welfare of the students during class weeks, keep good records, and provide discipleship for all the students. The graduation was held at the campus in Adak. The students and teachers marched down the path from our own old house to the cheering crowd of family, friends and alumni awaiting at the school buildings. Emotions were strong as each man was joined by his wife and walked the carpet to receive his diploma, the sign of their achievement. Everyone was beaming. Everyone was jubilant. And everyone was sweating profusely. It was a beautiful day, and I was proud to share it with our visiting friends.

Matt sharing at the graduation ceremony, James translating
We were very sad to see Morgan leave with the team, after staying with us for almost 2 months.
We did have so much fun with the team!

After the graduation and seeing off our visitors, we went right back to preparing curriculum. We had been pressing to begin the first accredited class in July, but pushed back the opening date after James, our school registrar, had an unfortunate motorcycle accident and suffered near-paralyzing back injuries. We were grateful for “Easter Monday”, which gave Matt the extra time off to visit him at the hospital in Kampala. He is slowly improving, regaining feeling in his lower body after a successful emergency surgery, another thing to praise God for! James’ spirits are high, his family is strong, and all of them are thankful.

Visiting James and reading the cards that our kids wrote to him.

I would love if you joined us in praising God for Emma’s 10 years of life! She is such a precious girl, and we are amazed at all that God continues to do in her. Please pray for her as she goes into these preteen years, that God would continue to work in her heart, that she would begin to stand on Christ for herself, and that she would be ruled by His peace as she follows Him.

Our girls, plus our director’s daughter, slipped in as last-minute flower girls for the triple wedding.

Please pray for our new friend, Vivian, whom we have been trying to help since meeting her several months ago. She has suffered from a sickness yet to be determined for the past 7 years. Please pray that God would heal her, that He would encourage her, but most importantly that she would be saved, as it seems she does not yet understand salvation despite much knowledge of God and the church.

In Christ,
Matt & Noelle, Cynthia, Emma, Madeline, Noah, and Charlotte
