But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts, and always be ready to give a defense to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you, with meekness and fear; having a good conscience, that when they defame you as evildoers, those who revile your good conduct in Christ may be defamed.

1 PETER 3:15-16

God’s been doing amazing things over the last few months and I know there is a lot to catch up on, but first can we just praise God for the miraculous work He calls us to do? Over the last few months I have gone through a roller coaster as I’ve been pursuing the will of the Lord in my life. I went back to CBI after finishing CSOM in Mexico during the summer of 2020. I continued there faithfully as COVID was wreaking havoc among our school and community. However, God was faithful and we will proclaim that truth unto the coming of our Lord Jesus. I graduated in January of 2021 from CBI with a clear call to go to Calvary Chapel Saving Grace and join the internship program to be further equipped to pursue His call to missions for my life. God put me through a season of leaning wholly upon Him as I struggled to find the funds for transportation and housing before moving to Yorba Linda, California to start the internship. This process lasted 3 months as I attained funds for transportation and prayed for God’s will in housing. As always, where God called, He provided. A pastor at Calvary Chapel Saving Grace prayed and felt called to provide housing for me. God also provided for a car as well through stocks my grandpa had left in my name. All of this came out of nowhere. I had no idea how God was going to provide, but as I felt called to pursue Him in His call to missions, He has faithfully made a way. He is the hope in my heart.

The Call

PHILIPPIANS 3:14

As I’ve started out at CCSG with the internship and pursuing God will further, God has laid a few ministries upon my heart as well as different people that I’m trying to help grow in the gospel. My heart for those closest to home has grown tremendously. If we aren’t reaching out to those in our neighborhoods, stores, towns, etc., then what is the real purpose behind us wanting to do missions? Christ clearly calls us to missions, but missions is wherever we are, and we need to be faithful to pursue that call wherever we are. The message of grace and reconciliation that we have been given is the most blessed thing we have. Who are we to hold it back from others? God has led me into many meaningful conversations with people not only at church or at home, but in the streets as well, when I talk to people about God; His word hasn’t returned void. I encourage whoever reads this to take some time to truly consider whether you are pursuing His will to make His name known to those around you or not. And if that raises even more questions about whether or not you even know His name that well, let me encourage you in that we have been gifted with the Bible for a reason. He wants each of us to know Him on an individual basis and in a very personal way. In turn, He gives us the call to pursue Him and His will for our lives.

If it is His Will

Come now, you who say, “Today or tomorrow we will go to such and such a city, spend a year there, buy and sell, and make a profit”; whereas you do not know what will happen tomorrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away. Instead you ought to say, “If the Lord wills, we shall live and do this or that.” But now you boast in your arrogance. All such boasting is evil. Therefore, to him who knows to do good and does not do it, to him it is sin.

JAMES 4:13-17

The Lord has called me to make His name known to those who have never heard it before and, if the Lord wills, I plan on continuing to set aside time to do just that. I go to different areas of the city and seek out people who have been set aside for His redemption message so that we can bring as many to His grace and mercy as He wills. I’ve already done this a few times over the last few weeks and have had the opportunity to witness to people in a town center, at a mall, and in various restaurants and gas stations. God is moving, and my prayer is that He would use me in mighty ways for His name’s sake. Prayer Requests

• A young man I’m discipling needs housing and transportation as he comes out of a lifestyle of sin
• God would continue to provide a clear direction in where He is calling me to evangelize and that the hearts would be soft to hear His gospel
• God would faithfully put a clear call on where He wants me to go internationally
