God’s Peace Overcomes the Pain

Jai Masih ki (Praise the Lord),

I thank God who has kept me safe and blessed me.

In August 2021, my younger sister got really sick. She had severe pain in her stomach. She was sick for about 5 months. By last December she was doing better. Then this April she got sick again. We went to many different hospitals for her treatment. They could not find out what was wrong with her. All her test reports came back normal.

She was admitted in the hospital for many months. In May she died. This shook us all. We went through so much pain and emotional and mental suffering. She was married and has a son who is 4 years old.

I have three more sisters. Two of them are older than me and one is the youngest. I loved the sister who died. I was the only one who took her to doctors. She lived with us since she got sick. Thanks to our Lord who gave us His peace to overcome this pain.

Right now, in my church I am teaching from Corinthians. In my personal devotions I am studying form the book of Romans.

God opened a new door to a family in my own village. I noticed a man named Hari. He always looked depressed. When I asked some of the villagers about it, they told me that he is always downhearted because his family is going though a hard time. He is always worrying about it.

Whenever I saw him, I always would pray in my heart for him and that God would give me an opportunity to share the Gospel with him. One day, I was working on my farm and this brother came to me. We started talking. Then, he started sharing about himself. I told him that I would pray for him right there and I prayed for him. The next day when I saw him, I asked him how he was doing. He told me that he was doing good now. Then I shared the Gospel with him. He told me that this is all new for him. He used to think that church is just a place where people who are facing problems go, so that the pastor can pray for them.

Prayer Requests:

  • Pray for my ministry. May God give me wisdom and understanding.
  • Pray for my family. May they grow in the Word of God.
  • Pray for each of my church members to grow in the Lord.

Co-workers in Christ,
