Generations of Faithfulness

Over the past 4 years we have had plenty of opportunities to celebrate together as God continues to strengthen and grow our body of believers at Calvary Chapel Maranatha, Mazatlan but there has been something very special about these past months.

CALVARY MARANATHA EAST’s 1 YEAR ANNIVERSARY

On March 1st, Calvary Maranatha East, our most recent church plant, celebrated its first anniversary. I was overcome with gratitude and emotion as I realized that God had gathered 4 very faithful men, church planters, together that night for a very special reason.

That night, the Lord revealed an example, John 15:16. We saw first-hand the fruit of faithful commitment to the Lord, of discipling and raising up others, and the reach of God’s word. We were shown an example of faithfulness multiplying, like generations: “Great Grandpa” Pastor Trent Douglass, CC Saving Grace- sent out “Grandpa” Pastor Mike Vincent, CC Rosarito -sent out “Dad” Pastor Tony Carranza, CCMarantha and “Child” Pastor Sergio Rojas, CCMaranatha Este.

NOTHING CAN STOP US!!

CC MARANATHA CHURCH PLANTING CONFERENCE 2021 “Nothing can stop us” was the name of our conference this February. It was 2 days filled with rich teachings filled with wisdom and guidance from a variety of Calvary Chapel Pastors and church planters. They joined us from the US, Baja CA and several areas in Mexico. This year’s focus was to encourage and challenge us to continue with confidence and follow the Lord’s call regardless of the circumstances.

My part during the event was to coordinate several of our volunteer teams as we greeted and provided dinner both nights for our 120 guests. In addition, I was asked to share about my experiences during the breakout workshops. What a joy it was to encourage other single woman about the valuable role we play as part of a church planting team.

COFFEE, FELLOWSHIP, ENCOURAGEMENT AND PRAYER

While Pastor Trent, his wife Debbie, Pastor Tim, and Spencer from the SGWM Headquarters in Yorba Linda were in town for the conference I had a great time showing them Mazatlan. It was great being with them and I was encouraged and supported by their wise words of advice and prayer throughout their visit and especially during a breakfast time together before they left to fly back to the states.

FALL SEASON OF CHURCH PLANTING

Meet our 2021 Fall church planting class. As a church sending hub, these classes at CC Maranatha are vital to train up and send out those who are being called by God to be future church planters. You may recognize Pastor Sergio and his wife Elena from Calvary Maranatha Este who are graduates from CCM’s 2 year program. The only student missing in this photo is me… Yep, this season the classes are open to single gals too. So, I’m joining in to learn more about what it takes to be a church planter. Please keep us all in your prayers, teachers and students alike as God equips and guides us.

I love an appreciate you all. Thank you all for your prayers and notes of encouragement! God is continuing to fill me with His love, hope and desire to faithfully follow Him moment by moment.

JOHN 15:16 Jesus said… “You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain, that whatever you ask the Father in My name He may give you.”
