Focusing on the Goal

“Let your eyes look straight ahead,
And your eyelids look right before you.
Ponder the path of your feet,
And let all your ways be established.”

PROVERBS 4:25-26

Hello family and friends!

Prayerfully the first month of 2023 has been well for you. It has been a busy, but blessed month for me as I am continuing to keep my eyes on the Lord and see His hand moving so evidently in my personal life and as I prepare for the future. As always, thank you so much for your partnership in prayer and finances. It means more than you know; not only in my life, but much more importantly to the Lord as we all actively take part in His work.

I started out the new year by joining Calvary Chapel Saving Grace in a week of prayer and fasting in which we all took that time in different ways to seek the Lord and truly give Him the first part of this year to set the tone for the rest of the year to come. God grew me in that week and spoke to my heart by reminding me that I must continually rely on His strength because I can’t do anything lasting or fruitful apart from Him! Staying focused on the goal at hand of reaching the world for Christ’s sake is so important to me. I am so eager for what the Lord has planned for my future, but He is also reminding me that I must enjoy the process along the way because it is essential for fruitful and long-lasting ministry overseas. This is why I am “reaching forward to those things which are ahead” (Philippians 3:13) and reminding myself that all the Lord has me doing in this season is for that ultimate purpose.

One of the events we had during the week of prayer and fasting is what we call, “Secret Church” in which we have a prolonged time of worship, prayer, and Bible study that lasted until midnight. It is to emulate what a secret church meeting might look like in the persecuted countries of the world. We do this to remember and intercede for our brothers and sisters facing hardships because of their faith. It was such an impactful time and left me so grateful for the freedoms we have here to worship and share our love for the Lord openly.

A group of us interns got to attend the Calvary Costa Mesa Missions Conference and host a booth for the School of Missions

I recently went out with a team to Fullerton College for an evangelism event. It was an amazing experience in learning how to better share the Gospel! We met many Christians which was encouraging, as well as others who were Jehovah’s Witness’, Catholic, atheist, etc. Praise God that one man named Bryan gave his life to the Lord and it was an amazing and emotional moment for him! Please be praying for him to get plugged in at the church and start growing in his walk with the Lord. Please pray for the seeds planted and watered in the lives of the others we had the opportunity of talking with.

Walking to Fullerton College to spread the Gospel

Praise Reports:

  • God is speaking to me more and leading me to a specific region of the world
  • Our weekly classes on culture, teaching the word, as well as ministry at Saving Grace has been fruitful
  • A man gave his life to the Lord at our evangelism event at Fullerton College

Prayer Requests:

  • Please pray for protection for our brothers and sisters around the world in persecuted countries
  • Please pray for Bryan who gave his life to the Lord at Fullerton College
  • Please pray for all those we got to share the gospel with at Fullerton College
  • Please pray for the Lord to continue equipping me for the future and speaking to me on the country, timing, etc
  • Please pray for the Lord to provide financial support for future missions trips He opens the doors for me to go on

Thank you for taking the time to read this update and for joining in on the work that God has called me to! It is such a beautiful gift to realize that the Lord doesn’t need our help in fulfilling His plans, but because of His love, He wants us to take part in spreading the Good News of Jesus Christ to the ends of the earth! I would greatly appreciate your continued partnership with me in prayer as the Lord continues to prepare me for cross-cultural ministry, as well as through financial support, if you feel led to give. Any amount of a one-time or monthly donation is an absolute blessing for future mission trips and eventually for being sent out as Saving Grace World Missions requires 80% monthly funding before moving to the field. It means so much to me, thank you all!

For His glory,

Macey
