“And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord.” Colossians 3:23
I’ve said it before and I will say it again. Writing newsletters each month is one of the hardest parts of being a missionary. This month I am late because there was no big story or moment to talk about, it has been a month of small things that we pray, one day could make a big impact.
Things like loving on the massive amounts of children each week and just trying to keep calm and share God’s joy with the crazy number of kids. All 6 classrooms filled and overflowing. Praying God would help us to reach each and every one of them. Teaching our staff the Inductive Bible study method so that they can grow deeper in the Word and in their walk with God. Vincent teaching Sunday, Thursday, and most Wednesdays in the church. Having fun fellowship and laughter as the married couples played the singles in a friendly football match.
Taking some needed family time for my birthday. Seeing God’s amazing creations in person. Praying through each time our car broke down, using every moment possible as teaching moments waiting on the roadside for our car to cool down. Praying through the struggles of building in Africa. Everything taking so much longer than it would take in America. Trying to be patient knowing you are an ambassador for Christ to the unsaved workers. Marveling at the knowledge God gives our precious boys! Sometimes being a missionary is just living day to day, trying to be the best Christian you can be and asking for forgiveness in the times we fall short.
Please pray as the boys and I prepare to head back to America for Zachary’s therapy and doctor appointments. Pray for our adjustment and the travel. It will be over 40 hours traveling with the boys alone. Please pray God sends me someone to help with the luggage, especially at Entebbe airport with the staircase! Pray also for me to have strength and patience. We will be landing on October 23rd. Please continue to pray for health and strength, especially for Vincent and us as a family while we are apart. Thank you for your love and prayers!
