We are so thankful for the support that has been given to help those who have been desperate during this time of lock down!
Since it is illegal to host a group gathering (punishable as attempted murder) we had to get creative with distribution. Essentially we did 4 distributions: one for those near us who could come pick up, one where we borrowed a kiosk and called individual families to come and pick so it looked like they were shopping, one in the Marketplace, and then we had some of the market guys make home deliveries to the families in need that were deeper in the slums.
Each family that received could not stop expressing their thankfulness. Some were eating just once a day and for some not even that often.
