Relax, God Doesn’t Need You – Vanrenterghem Update June 2025

Ah Lord God, behold, thou hast made the heaven and the earth by thy great power and stretched out arm, and there is nothing too hard for thee.

Jeremiah 32:17

Dear Friends, Family, and Loved Ones,

Jesus has been transforming lives in Trujillo! June was a special month, full of joy and new works, relationships, and trials. Halfway through the month I was in the middle of a very difficult situation. I went to Henry’s birthday (one of the orphan boys from Mundo de Ninos, where I have been discipling them each week), and had a great time with them. Unfortunately, the director told us how their over night shift caretaker is leaving, with a 1-day notice, and there is no one else to fill the spot! Because of that, she asked me to help her by seeing if there was someone at the church who could take the position. I talked with the church leadership, even though we had already decided as a ministry not to get involved in the home management itself because of differences in ideology, liability, and many other reasons. Though we wouldn’t be able to help, mainly because of liability with the church in case something happens, it still weighed on me very heavily. Having spent a lot of time each Sunday evening with them, I have grown to love the boys very much, and I know what kinds of things they could get into if no one is there to supervise. During my devotional time, the Lord brought the verse above to me. It was very hard to receive because of how helpless I felt in the situation, but I was reminded that God is able to work with or without me. And He did just fine without! I texted the lady I couldn’t help, and she responded they already had someone to fill the shift! I share this story to help stir up your faith in the Lord Jesus. He is so mighty and good to us, He never fails us and we should always keep our hope in Him. We can be completely helpless, and yet God works mightily. What a freeing reminder that God doesn’t need you to do His work, but what a privilege that He has called you and every believer to be a part of it!

New Discipleship Opportunity

The Lord has given the Calvary Trujillo youth group open doors to minister at a Jr. High / High School just a few blocks down the road from the church. We have done outreaches at this school before, sharing the gospel, doing games and worship, and having small group conversations. But this time, we will be doing it monthly with the leaders of the youth group. I have been a part of the youth group since moving to Peru, and it is amazing to see the way that God is fortifying and growing the youth. Join me in praying that God would multiply the youth group with many new youth, and He would use the school outreach to bring many to Christ!

New Sordos

I have an awesome story about how God brought me new friendships with some younger ‘sordo’ boys (deaf). During a recent Sunday church service, I met 3 new deaf people, their names are Christian, Jesus, and Darwin. I only got to hangout and talk with them for a short time because I had ministry responsibilities that morning. After church, I went to do some shopping and preparing for a ceviche lunch the next day with two other deaf friends. Before I went shopping, I was very hungry for lunch, as it was already 2:30pm. I decided to get ramen, and after I sat down, an older lady from the church named Carmen came up and said hi. As I looked over my shoulder at her, behind her I saw the three new deaf boys I met that morning sitting at the table next to me. We ended up all eating lunch together, and I got to spend time with them and share the gospel in signs. Although it is possible to understand the gospel in signs, it is still very difficult to fully communicate it, and it is almost impossible to know how much was actually received. Jesus must reveal Himself to them personally! Still, it was a very sweet encounter that I was not expecting at all!

New Road Trip

One last special event this month, and next month, is the wedding of two very great friends of mine- Sara and Salomon! These two are very special to me. I met Sara in Mexico during the Calvary School of Missions. She has been serving here at the Bible Institute for over 5 years, and Salomon I met when I came down the first time to Peru. They are both on fire for the Lord and feel called to the Middle East. Sara has already spent a few months in Bethlehem, serving at a ministry for disabled people, and learning Arabic. In June, they had their civil wedding ceremony (signing the legal papers for marriage), but this month they had their official (religious) ceremony on a beach town far away from Trujillo. Please pray for Jesus to fill this new married couple with his love and grace, and give them greater vision for their calling to the unreached Muslim world!

In the beginning of July I visited Piura for half a week, where Sara and Salomon had their official wedding. Right after, I went on a bus to go far away, helping lead a group of 3 girls and 3 other leaders for a missions trip in Moyobamba (a jungle city)! This was with a small group of girls from the states who are here on our Summer on a Mission program. The program was started last year to introduce individuals interested in mission work into practical ministry and service on the field! I already had the opportunity to teach a class on Acts 9-10, and translate one of the other classes they had as well. Be praying for these girls as they learn about Peruvian culture, missions, and the book of Acts! Their names are Bernia, Daniel, and Faith.

Calling All Partners!

It is my honor to connect you, my sisters and brothers in United States, to all God is doing on the mission field, and show you the fruit of your work through me! If you would like get more involved in this work, there are different ways you can partner with with me as I seek to fulfill my call to rescue and care for children in trafficking, and bring the gospel to the ends of the earth.

One way you can support is through joining my Signal group. This is where I send prayer requests and more frequent updates on my life in the mission field of Peru! You can join this group by responding to this email.

Another way is to partner financially. If you feel led to become a financial partner, you can give through the link found at the bottom of this newsletter! It is by your generosity that I am provided for on the field and available to give my all in this new work.

Thank you all so much for your wonderful partnership and love, I am eternally grateful for your support!

Never Alone – Anand Update July 2025

Visit to another district

My team had a wonderful and impactful day during their recent visit. The team was blessed with the opportunity to share the Gospel with many individuals throughout the area. A particularly meaningful moment came when they shared the Good News with the uncle of a Bible College intern and his family.

In addition to visiting his uncle’s home, my team also reached out to several nearby households. Many of the residents had never heard about Jesus before. Despite this, every home warmly welcomed us, creating an open and joyful environment for Gospel sharing.

One special encounter stood out during the visit. The team met a woman whose mother had been a Christian. Although she had attended church in the past, she no longer does. My team was able to speak with her again about Jesus and gave her an Audio Bible, which she received with great joy. We request continued prayer for her — that God would stir her heart and draw her closer to Him.

It was a great blessing for us to pray with people and distribute both Audio Bibles and New Testaments. We ask for continued prayer that:

  • God would speak to each person through His Word,
  • That these Gospel tools will help many come to a deeper understanding of Jesus.

Involvement with Harvesters

This past weekend was a time of rich fellowship and fruitful ministry for the team and I as we joined fellow Calvary Chapel pastors in South East Nepal. My wife and I, along with Pastor Milan, Pastor Rabi, and a Bible college intern, traveled together and stayed in the church where I previously served.

The team visited Pastor Joshep’s church to participate in a program. It was a joyful occasion marked by vibrant fellowship among the believers. I shared an encouraging message from Romans 6:1–14, exhorting the new believers to walk closely with Christ.

While this was happening, Pastor Rabi visited Pastor Majiya’s church, where two more individuals were prepared to publicly declare their faith. Witnessing these lives being dedicated to the Lord was a significant blessing for the entire team.

The visit also included intentional time with Bible college students. The team shared meals, visited students’ homes, prayed with them, and provided encouragement for their ministry journeys. These moments were filled with love, care, and meaningful conversations about the future of their calling.

A personal highlight was my opportunity to visit my family, which was a special blessing. The team was warmly received at my in-laws’ home, where they enjoyed a wonderful dinner and heartfelt fellowship.

This time of breaking bread and sharing life with fellow believers was deeply meaningful. All glory to God for His faithfulness and the fruit borne through this trip.

Prayer Request:

Pray for the seven new believers to grow strong in their faith and walk closely with the Lord.

“I thank my God in all my remembrance of you, always in every prayer of mine for you all making my prayer with joy, because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now. And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.

Philippians 1:3-6.

We Are Not Alone

God recently opened the door for my team and I to travel to another area where we visited several church planters ministering in the region. The team was filled with joy and anticipation to reconnect with their fellow workers in the Kingdom.

During the visit, the team joined a local church service, offering encouragement and fellowship to the congregation. It was a powerful time of worship, ministry, and mutual strengthening.

We also spent time sharing ministry experiences with the local pastors. The gathering was marked by laughter, stories of God’s faithfulness, and heartfelt conversations. It was a time of mutual encouragement—a reminder to stay strong in the faith, continue serving Christ, and lift each other up in prayer.

One of the most moving moments came when two families serving the Lord looked at each other and said, “You are not alone.” Ministry often brings seasons of loneliness, fatigue, and discouragement. But when one pastor visits another, it becomes a time of refreshment—a sacred reminder that we are united in Christ and not forgotten.

We give all glory to God for this opportunity to encourage and be encouraged. We ask for continued prayer so we can keep visiting and supporting pastors—both in rural villages and urban areas—who need connection, prayer, and fellowship.

“Fear not, for I am with you;

Be not dismayed, for I am your God.

I will strengthen you,

Yes, I will help you,

I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.”

— Isaiah 41:10

Thank you,

Anand and Usha and Family (AC)

Joyfully Serving Jesus- Worker 17 Update July 2025

Warm greetings to you in the precious and mighty name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

I trust you are doing well and continuing to walk in the joy and peace that only Christ can provide. As I look back on the month of June, I am filled with thankfulness for the faithfulness of God in every step of our journey. His grace has been our strength, His Word our anchor, and His presence our greatest treasure.

This past month has reminded me again that ministry is not defined by size or visible success, but by faithful hearts surrendered to Jesus. Whether in small gatherings, quiet moments of prayer, or simple conversations centered on God’s truth, the Lord has made His nearness known. We are seeing lives touched—not by our efforts, but by the gentle and powerful work of His Spirit.

Every fellowship meeting, every outreach opportunity, and every moment spent in God’s Word has carried a sense of His purpose. Even though we are few in number, the Lord is building in us a deeper hunger for His truth and a stronger desire to walk in His ways. He is teaching us to find joy in serving, to trust Him in the unseen, and to grow together as His family.

Saturday, June 7: Outreach Visit with Brother S*

This day was very special. I had the opportunity to visit a village with Brother S*, who is a sincere and spiritually hungry young man. Though we had planned a month ago to have a Bible class, it did not happen at that time. But in God’s perfect timing, on Thursday, Brother Sunil suddenly said to me, “We could do the Bible class this Saturday morning. What do you think?”

I gladly said, “Yes, we will do it,” because I had been prayerfully looking for an opportunity to teach the truth of God’s Word.

Brother P* and I prayed and started our journey early in the morning. When we arrived, 8 to 10 people had gathered in a small church building. I was deeply humbled to hear that this was the very first Bible class ever held in their area. I shared the Word of God, and the people received it with great joy and thankfulness. It touched my heart and reminded me that there are still many places waiting to hear the truth. I truly believe that God is the one opening these doors in His perfect time. It is my prayer that His truth will continue to spread everywhere, and that He would keep using me to teach and share His Word faithfully.

After the meeting, we went to Brother S*’s home. His family welcomed us warmly. We had deep spiritual conversations. Brother S* shared his burden and concern about the way ministry is being done in many places. He asked for help and guidance to grow spiritually and to do ministry in a way that honors the Lord. I was humbled by his sincerity. I encouraged him to continue seeking the Lord, and we prayed together. His family expressed a real hunger for the Word. Please pray for them.

Wednesday, June 11 : Weekly Bible Class

In the morning, we gathered for our weekly Bible class. Sister M* opened our time together with a heartfelt prayer, inviting the presence of the Lord to be with us. We then entered into worship, singing songs of praise and thanksgiving. It was a joyful and reverent atmosphere, as we lifted up the name of Jesus together. After worship, I continued teaching from the Gospel of John, chapter 3. I shared the truths God had placed on my heart during my study and preparation over the past few days. The Lord gave me clarity and boldness to explain His Word. I emphasized the new birth through the Spirit and the love of God revealed through Jesus Christ. The class was attentive, and I sensed that the Holy Spirit was at work during the teaching.

Following the class, we all shared a meal together, continuing in fellowship. After lunch, we remained in the spirit of worship and spent more time in prayer and song practice. We encouraged one another and lifted up praises to God as we prepared for future gatherings. We remained together in this spirit of worship and fellowship until 5:00 PM. It was a truly blessed time, not just of learning, but of building unity and spiritual strength among the believers.

Friday, June 13: Youth Program–A Day of Impact and Learning

We had invited about 30 boys and girls, but by God’s design, 15 youth members joined us. Although fewer came than expected, we trusted that those who attended were chosen by God to receive what He had prepared for them. The program started with worship and prayer. Brother M* opened with a heartfelt prayer, and together we worshiped the Lord through singing. It was a joyful time, where we could see the youth genuinely participating and singing praises to God. Worship set the right atmosphere, opening our hearts to hear from God. After the worship, I shared Bible teaching focused on encouraging the youth to walk faithfully with the Lord, live in holiness, and trust in His plans for their lives. I taught with the desire that God would ignite a fire in their hearts to follow Jesus.

At 1:00 PM, we had a lunch break, which gave us the opportunity to spend informal time with the youth, building relationships and getting to know their hearts better. The most powerful part of the day was the Question and Answer session, which lasted from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM, without stopping. The youth asked many important and meaningful questions about faith, Christian living, the Bible, and life’s challenges. Their hunger to learn more was very encouraging. It was not just a formal session—it was a real conversation where doubts were cleared, and Biblical truths were explained. This Q&A time became a life-changing moment for many. The youth were fully engaged, and God’s Spirit was working in our midst. We truly felt the presence of the Lord throughout the entire session. It was more than just a program—it was a divine appointment.

Wednesday, June 18: Bible Class

We gathered together as a fellowship for our weekly Bible class. Sister M* led us beautifully in the opening prayer, preparing our hearts to focus on the Lord. We began the session by worshiping God through songs, lifting our voices in praise and inviting His presence into our midst. I had the privilege of continuing to teach from God’s Word. It was a special class because some people who hadn’t joined us in a long time returned—one of our brother’s friends came back after a long absence, and my wife’s aunt also joined the class after being away for some time. Their presence reminded me that God is always working to draw His people back to Himself. After the teaching, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, we had an engaging question and answer session. It was encouraging to see that people were not just listening but genuinely wrestling with the Word, desiring to understand and apply it in their lives. These moments of interaction show that the Word is sinking in deep, and I praise God for that.

Prayer Requests:

  1. Please pray for our small fellowship, that we may continually grow in the Lord, remain strong in our faith, and always stand for the truth of God’s Word. We desire to be faithful in both our walk and our witness, even though we are small in number.
  2. Please pray for our brothers in the fellowship who are seeking jobs. They are specifically looking for work nearby because they do not want to leave this fellowship. They deeply value being part of this church family and are willing to sacrifice better opportunities elsewhere in order to stay connected and grow in Christ.
  3. Please pray for the new fellowship we are praying to start, focused on reaching out to the youth with the true Word of God. We desire to teach them sound doctrine and lead them to a genuine relationship with Jesus Christ.
  4. Please pray for my wife, that God would fill her with His Spirit and use both of us mightily for His kingdom. Please pray that the Lord would grant us wisdom, knowledge, and a heart of humility as we lead and guide those whom God has entrusted to us as part of the Calvary Chapel Saving Grace family.

Thank you so much for your faithful partnership, prayers, understanding, encouragement, and support. We are truly blessed to be part of this family. Please continue to pray for us, that we may build God’s kingdom in this place and that many people would come to know the truth of the Gospel.

You say Potato, I say Posada! – Pepin Update December 2024

The word “Posada” in Spanish refers to an inn or place of lodging, but it also happens to be the word used in Luke 2:7 where the Bible says, “And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the INN.”  The Mexican culture has adapted this word to refer to any and all Christmas parties, the implication being that we make room for Jesus in our hearts and lives during the Christmas season.

In spite of everything going on here in our war-torn city, Calvary Culiacán was the site of many “posadas” this year.  In all of them, the Gospel was preached, and many people surrendered their lives to Christ.  I like to think that they received the greatest Christmas gift ever given – the gift of salvation which began with the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ.  And what better way to celebrate Christmas than with a brand new relationship with Christ!

POSADA #1 – Calvary North Ladies’ Group

Our first “posada” was held on December 14 for our women’s ministry.  It was a very well-attended event with many first-time visitors.  We shared some amazing food, great worship, and fellowship in addition to sharing the Word of God.  After an encouraging message about how Jesus is the solution to all of our problems, 9 ladies made the life-changing decision to surrender their lives and will to Jesus and accept Him as their Lord and Savior.  What a great start to the Christmas season!

POSADA #2 – Calvary North Servants

The following day, we held our second “posada” for all of the people who serve in our church – not just the pastors and leaders, but everyone that serves actively in one or more ministries within the church.  Rather than hosting the event in the evening as we have always done in the past, we held the party right after our Sunday morning church service so that everyone would be able to attend without fear.  The sermon was entitled “Case Closed with Dr. Pilate,” and we learned about 3 things that took place during the judgement of Jesus: 1) Jesus chose to save our lives instead of His own, 2) the people still chose the wrong man, and 3) Barrabas (translated “son of the Father”) was saved.  The message was so stirring that another 9 people gave their lives to Jesus that day.  While it didn’t happen during our party, it certainly gave us more reasons to celebrate, and we had a very merry time.

Check out all of the photos and videos from the event here!  https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.10164584161064325&type=3

POSADA #3 – Calvary North General

Our third “posada” was after the following Sunday’s service and was for everyone at our church.  While there were no professions of faith made that day, many people heard the Gospel story for the first time through the Christmas story, and we know that God says His Word never returns to Him void, “But it shall accomplish what I please, And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.”  (Isaiah 55:11).  We shared food, fellowship, and lots and lots of fun with special presentations from our children’s and youth ministries, Christmas music, and of course, a piñata!

Check out all of the fun photos and videos here!  https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.10164584257624325&type=3

POSADA #4 – Transformadas (Rehab Center)

But my favorite of all of our Christmas parties was the “posada” we held for the ladies at the rehab center.  What an enormous blessing and privilege it was to be part of that event!

As we entered the living area of the center, the first thing that greeted us was a wall decorated with a fireplace scene, a small wire Christmas tree, and stockings – 60 stockings to be exact – one for every woman living at the center.

The ladies were excited for our visit, because they knew we were going to do something special for them, and as a result, every woman that wasn’t doing chores was in attendance – nearly 50 in all!

We started off by singing a couple worship songs, something we don’t usually have time for, but since it was a special occasion, we spoiled them with two great songs.

Next, we had a short teaching about the Christmas story, or to be more precise, about the first “posada” where Jesus was NOT received.  We taught them to learn from the mistakes of the people of Bethlehem and be sure to make room for Jesus in their hearts and lives, giving Him the place He deserves as our Lord and Savior and recognizing Him as the best Christmas gift ever.  What a perfect message for a Christmas party!

As a result, another 9 ladies made first-time professions of faith after hearing the message.  And led by the Spirit, I gave a second invitation with a more specific explanation, and even more women prayed to give their lives to Christ!

After those prayers, we taught them the story of the candy cane and how it teaches the Gospel story.  The ladies were pleasantly surprised to discover the Gospel message in the popular candy.

Then, we continued with a memory verse Christmas bow challenge.  To win a prize, the ladies had to recite a memory verse they had learned during our ministry, then select a bow to see which prize they won.  We laughed as two women tried to pass off common sayings as Bible verses…  But were shocked and amazed when Katherin recited half a chapter for us!

After that challenge, the women had the opportunity to stay in the meeting room and make a manger ornament with a Bible verse in it.  Seeing many of the ladies hang their finished ornaments on the patio Christmas tree made me smile.

Others chose to head over to the kitchen area to get some great homemade cupcakes and cookies and Christmas snacks, a real treat after not being able to enjoy those things during their internment.  Mandarin oranges and peanuts are a must at all Mexican “posadas” … though no one seems to know why.  Lol!

And at some point, almost all of the ladies made their way to the main patio area to play some fun games.

We started with a hilarious straw game.  Without no hands, they had to carry a straw across the patio between their nose and upper lip and insert it into a Coke bottle, then run back and tag their next teammate.  We played round after round until I finally ran out of straws.  Even the older women played, including 81-year-old Lidia!

The second game was just as entertaining.  We played a Christmas relay race version of tic-tac-toe where the ladies had to run to the large tic-tac-toe board on the floor and place their cup or plate, then hurry back to tag their next teammate until one team managed to arrange three in a row.  Their excited cheers and squeals of laughter filled the patio as they hilariously ran, slipped, and blundered their way through the game, leaping with joy as they won.  Seeing them play like happy children, temporarily forgetting about their addictions, loneliness, and troubles, made everything we did that day worth it.

And, of course, the presents!  We were able to collect enough presents to ensure that nobody left empty-handed!  From make-up to hair accessories, hygiene products to undergarments, candies to coffee mugs, and much more, everyone either won or received at least one gift, and many went away with very full pockets.  My heart was warmed as one after another told me that they had gotten exactly what they wanted for Christmas.  Isn’t God amazing?

Playing with the girls was such fun, for us and for them! Giving out presents was a great privilege and joy.

But maybe the greatest joy for me was serving alongside my children.  After helping with the craft project, Sammy helped referee the games while Ruby took pictures – quite a feat when you consider that she was able to capture every detail of the experience without invading the women’s privacy.

JESUS, THE REASON FOR THE SEASON

So, this past Christmas season, in spite of living in a war zone, we were able to enjoy ourselves to the fullest while watching the family of Christ grow by leaps and bounds.  Just counting the people I personally witnessed surrender their lives to Christ this month, we now have more than 60 new brothers and sisters in Christ!!!  Now, that’s the way to celebrate Christmas!

Continue to pray for my prioritization of ministries and the complete healing of my neck and herniated discs, for Ruby’s job and her desire to join the women’s rehab ministry team, and Sammy’s schooling and calling as he also wants to get involved in ministry again.

God Is Always Faithful! – Pastor 6 Update July 2025

Praise be to God, who is always faithful. His mercies never fail! We give Him all the glory for the work He is doing in and through the ministry here in our country. It is only by His grace that we continue to see lives touched, hearts transformed, and the Gospel being shared in both word and deed.

We also want to take a moment to thank you—our dear friends, prayer partners, and supporters. Your prayers, encouragement, and sacrificial giving have played a vital role in advancing the mission here. Whether it’s through your intercession, financial support, or simply standing with us in spirit, please know that your partnership is making an eternal impact.

Our country is a land of great need but also great opportunity for the Kingdom of God. Amid brokenness, hardship, and spiritual hunger, we are seeing God move in powerful ways—restoring families, drawing hearts to Christ, and raising up new leaders for His glory.

I wanted to take a moment to share a wonderful testimony from a recent visit that truly reminded me of how powerfully the Lord is still working in hearts today.

Ministering to Catholic Families

This past week, I had the opportunity to visit a Catholic family and spend some time in fellowship with them. With openness and kindness, they welcomed me into their home. As we shared stories and conversations, I felt the Holy Spirit gently guiding our time together.

By God’s grace, I was able to clearly share the Gospel — the message of salvation through Jesus Christ alone, by grace through faith. They listened attentively and responded with such sincerity and interest. Their hearts were tender, and there was a genuine openness to the truth of God’s Word.

I’m thankful to say that they responded positively to the Gospel. While this is just the beginning of their journey, I believe God has planted seeds that will continue to grow and bear fruit in their lives. We are praying that the Spirit continues to draw them closer, gives them clarity, and surrounds them with truth and love as they seek to know Jesus more deeply.

Please continue to pray for this family — that the light of Christ would shine brightly in their hearts and home. Please also pray for boldness and compassion in all our conversations, trusting that the Lord prepares hearts long before we speak.

Home Visits

This month, I had the opportunity to visit several homes in our community. As I stepped into these spaces, I was met with the reality of many messy and broken lives. I spoke with families who are struggling deeply—some battling with sin, and others facing heartbreaking situations, including women suffering abuse at the hands of their husbands.

These visits were not easy, but they were necessary. In the midst of the pain, I saw hearts that are longing for hope and change. I was able to sit with them, listen, and most importantly, share the Gospel of Jesus Christ–the good news that He meets us in our brokenness, that His love redeems, and that there is true freedom and healing in Him.

Please continue to pray for these families. Pray that God’s light will shine in the dark places, that hearts will be softened, and that lasting transformation will take place. Pray also that we, as the Body of Christ, continue to go where it’s messy, where it’s hard, and bring the love and truth of Jesus with us.

Testimony of a Women Who Is Coming to Our Church

I want to share a powerful and deeply moving story that reflects both the pain some are silently enduring and the unshakable faith that God gives in the midst of suffering.

A woman who has been coming to our church for 6 years with her children is walking through an incredibly difficult and heartbreaking season. She is experiencing ongoing abuse and threats from her husband, who has told her not to come to church or bring their children. Despite this pressure and pain, she continues to come. She chooses to worship God with a sincere heart, even while facing opposition at home.

What has impacted me and my wife most is her unwavering faith. In the midst of all this, she is full of faith and continues to trust the Lord. She believes God is with her and is holding on to His promises, even when everything around her feels uncertain. We had the privilege of sitting with her, listening, and encouraging her through the Word of God. It was a humbling moment to witness someone so committed to Jesus despite such suffering.

Please pray for her and her children—that God will protect them, strengthen them, and bring peace and healing into their home. Let us also pray for her husband. Pray that his heart will be changed by the love and truth of Christ.

This sister’s story is a testimony of faith under fire. Pray also that we, as her church family, surround her with love, support, and constant prayer. May we be reminded to remain faithful, even when the road is hard—just as she has shown us.

Update and Prayer Request About Our Daughter

Recently, our daughter fell from a 2 foot wall and fractured her hand. It has been a difficult time for her, as she has been in a lot of pain. We took her to the doctor, and they placed a plaster cast on her arm to help it heal properly.

She has been very brave through it all, but as parents, it is never easy to see your child in pain. We’re trusting God for a full and quick recovery. We would truly appreciate your prayers for her—both for healing and for strength and comfort as she goes through this process.

Wedding Update

It’s been a wonderful season of celebration. I am grateful to share that I had the privilege of being part of two special weddings recently—both involving young leaders who are faithfully serving the Lord.

The first was the wedding of AV* and P*. AV*, a committed servant of God and a graduate of Calvary Bible Institute, has been actively involved in ministry. It was a joy to share a message at their wedding ceremony, pointing to the cross as the foundation of true love. I reminded them—and all who were present—that a strong marriage begins and thrives when built on the sacrificial, covenant love of Christ.

I also had the honor of preaching at the wedding of A* and G*. A*, who is also a Calvary Bible Institute graduate and faithful in ministry, entered into this new season with a heart ready to serve God together with his wife. I shared a message encouraging them to keep Christ at the center of their marriage and to reflect the Gospel through their daily lives together.

Both of these young men have dedicated their lives to the service of the Kingdom. It is a joy to see them stepping into marriage with women who are ready to walk alongside them in faith and ministry.

Please continue to lift up AV* & P* and A* & G* in your prayers. May their homes be full of God’s presence, wisdom, and love—and may their marriages be fruitful in the work of the Lord.

Sharing the Gospel to the Transgender

While traveling recently, we stopped for a short break to have some Chai. During that simple moment, God gave us a powerful opportunity. I met a transgender person. As we began to talk, the conversation turned toward faith. I shared the love and hope found in Jesus—the One who sees us completely and still chooses to love and redeem us.

As we spoke, I felt the Holy Spirit prompting me to ask if I could pray for him. He responded with a smile and said yes. After we prayed, he asked me to keep praying for him, which truly moved my heart. It was a reminder that no one is outside the reach of God’s love and that every soul is precious to Him.

Please join me in praying for him—that the seeds of the Gospel planted in that moment will grow, and that he will come to know the fullness of God’s grace and truth.

The Gospel is for all people, and God often works in the most ordinary places—even at a roadside Chai stop. Let us stay sensitive to His leading and faithful in sharing His love wherever we go. Let us never forget: the Gospel is for everyone. No one is beyond the reach of God’s grace.

Ministering in Other Churches in Our Neighboring State

I got the opportunity to minister in two churches in a neighboring state this past week. It was a great joy to teach from the Word of God and strengthen believers in their walk with Jesus.

In one of the churches, I shared from the life of the church in Thessalonica. We looked at how they endured great suffering yet remained strong in their faith. Even in the midst of trials, they held onto the hope of Christ and became an example to other believers. It was a powerful reminder that we are called to stand firm, no matter what we face—because our hope is not in circumstances, but in the Lord.

In the second church, I taught on the importance of growing in the Word of God. Just as healthy plants need deep roots, believers need to be rooted in Scripture to grow strong and bear fruit. I encouraged the church to remain in the Word daily, allowing it to shape their hearts, renew their minds, and guide their steps.

Please continue to pray for these churches—that they would endure faithfully like the Thessalonians, and grow deeply in their love and understanding of God’s Word.

Prayer Points:

  1. Please pray that our family continues to grow in our walk with the Lord. Pray for deeper spiritual maturity, unity, and a stronger hunger for God’s presence and Word in our daily lives.
  2. Pray for the preparations for our next Bible college semester beginning in August. Ask the Lord to guide every detail—teaching, students, resources—and to use this semester to raise up strong, faithful disciples.
  3. We are praying for more committed and Spirit-led staff to join us in the Bible college. Pray that God will bring the right people to help with teaching, mentoring, and serving in this important work.
  4. Please pray for our brothers who are faithfully serving in different regions, sharing the Gospel and making disciples. Ask God to protect them, provide for them, and empower them through the Holy Spirit as they labor in the harvest field.

May the Lord richly bless you—your family, your work, and your walk with Him. I pray He continues to use you as a channel of His grace, and that you also experience the joy of being part of His Kingdom work.

Thank you for standing with us. We are deeply grateful.

In Christ,

Pastor 6 and Family

“How can we thank God enough for you in return for all the joy we have in the presence of our God because of you”

New Year, New Things – De La Cruz Update June 2025

(Español abajo)

We were so grateful to welcome our beautiful baby girl into the world on January 13th! We decided to name her Cristina Lizbeth, named after our moms (Kristy & Elizabeth). Thank you to our sending church Calvary Rosarito for allowing us to have her baby dedication there. Praise God we have her American passport now and just need to get her Mexico paperwork done (as well as Brittany’s & Kimmy’s). Also, while we were in Rosarito, God took our good friend Chuck home to Heaven. It was a sad time, but also beautiful to remember all of the sweet memories we had together. We returned to Calpulalpan the first week of February along with Kristy (Brittany’s mom) to help us get situated in our new house.

At the church we were able to do a marriage dinner for the couples on Valentine’s Day. It was a sweet time of fellowship and encouragement to keep striving to be a better spouse every day.

In April, we had our church’s 2nd anniversary! Praise God for the full church service we had, for the 87 adults and 20 kids who came, for the time of food and fellowship, for the 6 people who were baptized, and for how God is moving and working here in Calpulalpan!

It has been such a blessing to see the people in our church grow into servants and leaders, taking steps of faith and trying new things. Two new things that we did with our church were: a prayer retreat and a mission trip! The prayer retreat was a sweet time of studying, praying, and worshiping surrounded by God’s beautiful creation. We are so grateful and proud of each person who stepped out in faith to go on the mission trip. 7 out of the 10 people who went on the trip were all youth from our youth group! It was a blessing to see how God used each of them in a special way on the mission trip to Calvary Cocoyoc. We look forward to the many mission trips that we will be doing in the future, Lord willing.

Of course we had to have a celebration for Dia del Niño (Day of the Kids)! All of the children’s ministry leaders and servants put together games for the kids like a little carnival. They won tickets at each game and got to redeem them for prizes at the prize table! Praise God we were also able to a special breakfast for the moms in the church for Mother’s Day. Sister Esme shared a devotional, sister Dennis had a sweet craft for everyone, and sister Estef made the delicious breakfast. It was such a sweet time together sharing the many ups and downs of motherhood and encouraging one another.

Another first-time thing we did was a men’s retreat! There was about 22 men who went on the retreat from our church, from Calvary Cocoyoc, and a few other friends as well. They had a blast playing games, cooking carne asada and burgers, having Bible studies from various people, having a time of worship, and simply having a time of fellowship together.

Praise Reports:

  • Our baby girl Cristina was born healthy with no complications
  • We celebrated our 2nd anniversary with our church
  • The Sunday service was getting so full that now we have 2 services on Sundays!

Prayer Requests:

  • For God to provide and help us with the planning for the Youth Camp in August
  • For the servants and leaders in the church to continue strong and keep growing spiritually
  • For our family adjusting to being a family of 5 now
  • For God to guide Brian on how to train up those whom God choses to be the assistant pastors

“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.”

Colossians 3:23-24

We love you all family and friends! Thank you so much for taking the time to read about what God is doing here in southern Mexico. Hugs to all! God bless!

Love Brian, Brittany, Joshua, Kimberly, and Cristina

Brian, Brittany, Joshua, Kimberly y Cristina.

Harris Family Update June 2025

“These words, which I am commanding you today, shall be on your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your sons and shall talk of them when you sit in your house and when you walk by the way and when you lie down and when you rise up. You shall bind them as a sign on your hand and they shall be as frontals on your forehead. You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.”

Deuteronomy 6:6-9

We have been enjoying the fruits of our labor. Pounds and pounds, in fact! One day in June, we measured the day’s harvest of cucumbers to be just under 50 pounds, 12 pounds of which were pickled, and the rest carried off as gifts to neighbors by the same little people who had planted them. Besides cucumbers, we have been eating daily from the kids’ Swiss Chard, local spinach, green onions, dill, and cilantro. Maize and okra are well on their way, and potatoes, picky about the climate, will be ready eventually. We are even doing a science experiment with elderberry seeds, trying to fool them into believing they’re not actually in sub-Saharan Africa. We started them a month ago on a wet paper towel. In a month, we will put them in the fridge until November, when they will theoretically be ready to germinate. I’m looking forward to my kids experiencing elderberry syrup on pancakes, which is something I enjoyed when I was young.

Last June, Matt and I built a “Chicken Tractor on Steroids,” a composting system popularized by YouTuber and permaculturist Geoff Lawton. Since then, we have been processing grass clippings, vegetable peels, and other green waste into beautiful, rich soil, which has been helping us turn our clay garden into a more balanced growing environment. We also praise God for the daily eggs from our 12 chickens!

The garden has presented many opportunities for sharing new ideas with people. Allowing our children a handful of seeds and a few feet of space for themselves has been a wonderful way for them to learn to love work and appreciate good food. Allowing our kids to sell off or share with the family from their own produce has been a great way to instill in them a sense of responsibility. Showing them the importance of caring for the soil through composting and proper trash disposal provides us with opportunities to teach our kids to be producers, not solely consumers. And most relevant in our context, is the idea that training your child is much like tending a garden; you plant the seeds, carefully uproot the weeds, and provide the nutrients. Matt is currently sharing about this idea in his monthly devotional, “A Little Harris-y.” He also teaches it in our church’s 3-week parenting class.

The garden is FULL of teaching points, object lessons, and healthy food. We are looking forward to all the good things that will continue to come out of it!

This month, please pray with us that:

  • God will bring the right students to our Bible college this Fall.
  • God will provide two computers for our girls who are starting online school.
  • God will continue healing Pastor James Lonyera from the paralyzing motorcycle accident he experienced in the Spring.
  • That God will bless our efforts to root and ground Acholiland in His Gospel and His Word.

In Christ,

Matt, Noelle, Apiyo, Emma, Madeline, Noah, & Charlotte

Spring 2025 SGWM Newsletter

“Now the man from whom the demons had departed begged Him that he might be with Him. But Jesus sent him away, saying, “Return to your own house, and tell what great things God has done for you.” And he went his way and proclaimed throughout the whole city what great things Jesus had done for him.”
– Luke 8:38-39Some of the girls from the team in Osaka, Japan serving at CC Abide Osaka.

This Spring was filled with testimony after testimony of God’s power, faithfulness, and love poured out as many moved out in faith to obey God’s call upon their lives.

We had the privilege of sending another MTS student to the 10/40 window, to Osaka, Japan, as well as celebrate the marriage of 2 of our students in Mexico. SGWM was represented at a sister church in St. Joseph, Missouri at their annual Missions conference, and Calvary Chapel Saving Grace celebrated 30 years of God’s faithfulness. As incredible as all that was, we were also privileged to send a short-term team to the Middle East to visit our team there, as well as go to the country of Georgia to minister to the underground church of a neighboring closed country.

Africa at Last!!
Visiting Three Amazing Families Serving the Lord in Africa.
This Spring, we had the joy and privilege of sending Pastor Joel Garcia and Isaac Douglass on a missionary care trip to Uganda, Africa—home to three of our faithful SGWM missionary families who have been diligently planting churches and sharing the Gospel for many years.

Having looked forward to this trip for quite some time, Joel and Isaac arrived in Kampala, where they were warmly welcomed by Brian and Jill Kanyike. Jill has been serving in Uganda with SGWM for over 20 years, and since marrying Brian in 2006, she has witnessed God’s plan beautifully unfold. Brian now pastors Arise Christian Fellowship, a thriving church located near the slums of Kampala. Both Brian and Jill were deeply encouraged to finally host their dear friend and pastor in their home. These face-to-face, hand-in-hand visits are vital for the spiritual health and encouragement of our missionary teams around the world.

During their time in Kampala, Joel and Isaac joined the Kanyikes in ministry—visiting families in the slums, leading Sunday services, and sharing in prayer and worship. Their presence brought refreshment, support, and was a powerful reminder of the body of Christ standing behind them.
From there, Joel and Isaac traveled north to Gulu to visit Matt and Noelle Harris and their five children. The Harris family has been faithfully serving the Lord as Matt leads the training of pastors at Terebinth Bible College. Their home was filled with joy and gratitude as they welcomed Joel and Isaac, who brought encouragement and love from back home. The Harris children were especially thrilled, counting down the days until their visitors arrived. These visits mean so much—not only to the missionaries, but to their children as well, who are often serving and sacrificing alongside their parents.

The final leg of the journey took them even farther north to Midigo, where they spent time with the Aniku family. This amazing family is reaching hundreds in their community through a wide array of ministries, including a local church, a school, and a thriving soccer outreach. This long-anticipated visit was rich with mutual encouragement as Joel and Isaac witnessed first-hand the fruit of the Anikus’ faithful service and the lives being transformed through the love of Jesus.Throughout the trip, Pastor Joel and Isaac were continually blown away by the beauty of East Africa and the powerful work God is doing through these dedicated missionaries. These visits serve as a crucial reminder that no one is laboring alone—our SGWM family is united across continents, carrying the mission of Jesus together.

Please continue to pray for our missionaries in Uganda, as they labor to multiply disciples—disciples who make disciples who make disciples. Thank you for standing with us in this great Gospel mission!

Middle East and Republic of Georgia
Missionary care is essential in all areas of the world. Whether the missionary is single or married, has children or not, lives in an open country or a restricted country, they all need love, encouragement, and care. Pastor Trent, his wife Debbie, and Pastor Jesse Colon from Calvary Chapel in Jerez, Zacatecas were able to visit 4 of our full-time missionaries in the Middle East.

Their visit was timely as the team is sensing God leading them to take next steps. There are 6 from the team there who have been in country for 2 years studying language and culture in order to be prepared to do what they ultimately moved there to do… plant churches.
This Fall we will, God willing, have 4 more joining this team. We can see God stirring them all to take steps of faith towards fulfilling the vision.

Pastor Trent and the team were able to bring much needed encouragement and direction to the Middle East team so they can confidently move ahead. Through times of teaching, worship, prayer, and sharing their hearts, all were feeling confident to start doing new things which includes learning Biblical Arabic and getting deeper involved with the local church there. We are excited for this next venture of faith and want to ask that you continue to pray for this team for wisdom, discernment, dependency and clear direction.

Next, Pastor Trent and his team moved on to the country of Georgia where they met up with two more of their team members to teach a conference to a group coming from a very restricted neighboring country. Partnering with a local Calvary Chapel pastor and his team, Trent and his group had the privilege of teaching 7 hours a day through the Word of God. These teachings were received with great joy and hunger. These extremely isolated believers were engaged in and excited about every teaching and in the end communicated several times their gratitude for the teachings and time spent by our Saving Grace team.

Recognizing the potential for a lasting partnership, this initial trip proved to be a vital step forward—laying the groundwork for SGWM to make a greater impact in this nation strategically located within the heart of the 10/40 Window. Please pray for these precious believers as they face huge challenges in their home country and risk their lives daily as they share the gospel with those they encounter.
Praying over the city our team is in who is learning language and culture before starting on church planting.Equipping these precious believers from a restricted country in a safe place where they can freely worship and openly study the Bible. These believers sat for hours everyday, so hungry for the Word of God.
Pastoral Training for our National Workers
Pastor Gary has a heart for the 10/40 Window, where pastors work relentlessly in areas full of opposition and persecution. These pastors have incredible testimonies and work tirelessly and fearlessly to reach their people with the gospel. Although they are strong in faith, they lack in training in the area of Bible knowledge and spiritual leadership. Seeing this as a great need in South Asia, Pastor Gary and our dear brother Jim scheduled a 2-month multi-state tour to equip, encourage, and love on our national workers. Nothing can replace that face-to-face time of discipleship. This is where deep connection and trust is birthed!

As Gary and Jim sat with these brothers and answered their questions, God worked in their hearts and minds and they were radically impacted by this time spent. Please pray for all the seeds planted during this trip and that the Word that was taught would sustain, encourage, and keep these precious brothers as they seek to make disciples through church planting.
Gary pouring into a national pastor and his friend. This particular pastor does not have a lot of fellowship in his area, so he was very appreciative. It was a great opportunity to be able to teach in one of our CBI campuses where many of the students feel called to plant churches.Pastor R is an amazing shepherd of the people. He has never had a visit from a SGWM leader and he was so blessed as Gary and Jim came.
Thank you for partnering with us as we seek to fulfill the Great Commission by raising up and sending out!

Winter 2025 SGWM Newsletter

“The harvest truly is plentiful, but the laborers are few. Therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.” Matthew 9:37-38There are more than 3 billion people in the world who have yet had the opportunity to hear the sweet, saving gospel of Jesus. That number is so big it’s hard to even grasp. Jesus Himself recognized that there are vast populations of people who need to hear, but there are not enough workers going to these places to share about what He has done. But rather than saying, therefore “Get up and GO”, He calls His followers to pray. And this year we at SGWM have been reminded of the power of prayer and the realization that the world will only be won by praying to the Lord of the Harvest Himself. And what are we praying for? We are praying that God will send out multitudes from the body of Christ to the darkest corners of the world to seek out the lost and boldly proclaim the gospel.
Vision Tours and New Territories
God continues to open doors all over the world.
One of the many things we do at SGWM is pray and remain open to new opportunities and new fields. As we intentionally raise up those who feel called to go, these students are praying fervently about where God wants them to invest their lives. All of them are praying for the unreached and asking God if there’s a specific place He wants them to go. It’s exciting to partner with each of these students as God begins to show them where He wants them. As we pray, we also go. We provide opportunities for the students to visit various locations within the 10/40 window. As we travel with them, we spend time praying over the city or country. We visit various ministries and other believers in the area. We ask a lot of questions and learn more about the location. Last year we were able to take teams to Japan, Indonesia, Philippines, South Asia, and the Middle East. Through these trips there has been confirmation through open doors, and there have also been closed doors. But these trips are essential in providing the next step for these future missionaries to get to the field working full time. At SGWM, we also continue to walk through the open doors presented to us. Last year Pastor Trent and his wife Debbie traveled to the Republic of Georgia. They had been invited to that country to find out more information about a ministry that specifically raises up pastors from a neighboring country that is very closed and where Christianity is illegal. These pastors lead small underground house churches where there are only one or two families gathering together to meet in secret. God is moving in this country and amongst believers there is a deep belief that soon this country will open and God is going to use all these trained pastors to go out and share boldly the message of the gospel. This is an effectual door that we see God opening and we are excited for a future partnership in this area of the world. Please pray for the Missions Training Students as they seek God’s direction for their future. Also, pray with us as we step into new opportunities and frontiers that God is opening before us.

God is Moving in the Middle East
Did you know that more missionaries have been sent to the Middle East in the last 20 years than in the last 100? In theaters in 2004, The Passion of the Christ played 100 times a day to packed audiences…in the Middle East! In December 2001, Al Jazeera reported that there were large numbers of Muslims converting to Christianity. God is moving so powerfully that Muslim background believers are reaching out to their own people in record numbers. God is stirring the hearts of those in the Arabic world so much so that 50 million Muslims are tuning into the Arabic Christian radio program of Father Zachary which is broadcasted around the world. So many muslims have come to the Lord through this program that he has become a threat to the Muslim world. Another exciting truth that has come to light in recent months is that there are thousands of copies of the Arabic Bible being downloaded from the Bible app every month! God is doing something and we are excited to be smack dab in the middle of it. We now have 10 missionaries committed to language and culture learning in the Middle East. While in this season of learning, the team is building relationships both inside and outside of the church. They are specifically asking God how they can effectively church plant in this region and what it would look like to raise up and train the nationals to reach their own people through church planting. Please pray for our team as they seek to establish a hub to all of the Middle East.
Christmas Outreaches to the Most Unreached
In many restricted countries, the Christmas season provides a strategic time for our national workers to reach the most unreached among them. In these areas of the world conversion is illegal, publicly proclaiming Christ is not permitted and many governments forbid Christians from sharing their faith. Even with hostile governments and persecution growing, our brothers and sisters are offered a reprieve during Christmas and are able to visit villages, singing songs, showing the Jesus film, giving gifts and sharing about the greatest gift ever given. So they take full advantage of this time and spend days reaching out to several groups.
Children’s Outreach is a huge part of reaching these villages.Providing meals is a great way to get the community to come out. Many will come and patiently wait for hours to see the program.
Our national pastors and workers have opportunities to invite their unbelieving neighbors, villagers, family and friends to come and hear about Jesus who was born to save us from our sins. With months of planning, much prayers and invitations extended we were able to host Christmas outreaches in 35 locations throughout Pakistan, Nepal and S. Asia. We saw thousands of people attend, hear the Gospel of Jesus and many shared a meal together.

The Christmas outreaches took place in open fields, tents, courtyards, on mountain tops, in prisons, and in the most remote places you can imagine. We are grateful for the many people who provided funding and prayers that are necessary to see the Gospel go out to the ends of the earth.

Please pray for those who heard the good news of Jesus during Christmas that the seed of the Gospel would take root in their hearts and they would desire to know Jesus personally and start coming to church to learn the Word of God.
Thank you for partnering with us as we seek to fulfill the Great Commission by raising up and sending out!

By God’s Grace – Pastor 11 Update July 2025

Dear Pastors, Leaders and Supporters,

Greetings to all of you!

I thank God that He has taken care of us. I want to thank all of you for always praying for us and that you are always ready to fulfill our every need in every way.

Jesus Freak!

Like I often do, I am going to share the testimony of a believer of my church. Five years ago, my father and I went to a village. While sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ as we went from house to house, we met a woman named S*. She was very excited to learn about Jesus Christ. We invited her to come to our church. Gradually she started coming to church and started understanding more about our Lord Jesus Christ. She believed in Jesus and was baptized. Her husband also started believing in Jesus. He asked us to establish a church in his house also. We used to go to his house every month to have church. Because of that, the people around him started hating him.

When they completely abandoned idol worship, their neighbors started making various plans to drive them out of the village. Even then they did not abandon the Lord Jesus Christ and kept coming to church. A few months ago, when the pastors from SGWM came, I took them to their village to meet them.

Last month S*’s father-in-law insisted that they worship idols because the villagers were taunting him. The villagers were making fun of her mother-in-law and father-in-law because their son and daughter-in-law have converted to another religion. Even then, S* and her family did not worship idols. Her mother-in-law and father-in-law then beat up their son and daughter-in-law a lot. The villagers also beat them. Because of this, everyone in the entire village heard about what was going on. After that, the shopkeeper who was near their house also refused to sell them anything. That made S* and her husband very sad. They have three small children, and they had to go to another village to buy goods. Because of all of this, they have now left their village, society and relatives and have moved to a big city so that no one can stop them from believing in the name of Jesus Christ and their children can be brought up well. This is the eighth family of my church who have moved away- leaving their relatives, village, society, land, property etc. because of their faith in Jesus Christ.

Sunday Ministry

I have always been thankful to God that He has given me such a strong church. Despite facing many kinds of mental and physical torture, people do not stop coming to church on Sunday. Every Sunday 40 to 70 people come to church.

People from our village have always been against Jesus Christ. They have ostracized us from society because of the name of Jesus Christ. They stop people who are on the way to our Sunday fellowship. They brainwash them and threaten them in many ways so that they do not come to our fellowship. I thank God that the Holy Spirit gives the people of our church who are not educated the words to say. They answer those who try to stop them from coming to church and they shut their mouths. Only some new people get misled by them and stop coming to church. I am happy with my established believers. Despite facing many kinds of torture, they do not stop coming to church.

By God’s grace, I am starting to teach my church through the New Testament verse-by-verse. I have just reached the 6th chapter of 2nd Corinthians. 95% of the people in my church do not know how to read and write, yet they listen to God’s Word carefully, understand it and also share it with others.

Every week, Sunday School is also held in our church. It is led by my niece, who has lived with us since childhood. During our Sunday service, as soon as the worship ends, my wife and niece take all of the children to a separate room where they teach them action songs about Jesus Christ or help them memorize verses. Each Sunday, 15 to 20 children come to Sunday School. I thank God that the children also learn well. Sometimes they recite the verses they have memorized in front of everyone at church. Sometimes they also sing their action songs in front of church.

House Church Ministry

Whenever we read the book of Acts in the Bible, we find out how important house churches are for today’s time. By God’s grace, house churches are currently operating in four villages. Wherever we want, we spend time with people, do counseling, spend time in worship and prayer and study the Word together. By God’s grace, people understand God’s Word. Even though they do not know how to read, they are still able to understand God’s Word well by listening to it.

Earlier, house churches were operating in about 10 to 12 villages. But when we would go to the villages, the house where the church was running started getting persecuted- some through their family, some through their neighbors and some through other people in the village. Because of this, we told them to come to our home for Sunday fellowship and Friday Bible study. So, now fellowships are running only in four villages.

Children’s Ministry

All of you who know me know that I love children so much. I have a special passion for children in my heart. In the future, I have a goal of opening an orphanage which God will fulfill in His time.

Whenever I go to villages and wherever we have fellowship, I see children. I feel very sorry for their condition. Children do not have education, good clothes, or nutritious food. After seeing them, I always pray to God to open a door for them. Whenever I go, I take biscuits and chocolates for them. When I give them to the children, they become very happy. I also sometimes tell them stories from the Bible.

Evangelism Ministry

We all know the Great Commission of our Lord Jesus Christ in Matthew 28:18-20. That is why my father and I have, so far, taken the Good News to more than 500 villages. We have taken the Good News to villages where the name of Jesus Christ has reached their ears for the first time. Whenever we get a chance, we go out to share the Gospel. I thank God that the people of our church have become so strong in the Lord that they are also telling the name of Jesus Christ to their relatives around them and bringing them to our church as well.

Over the next two days, I am planning to spread the Gospel in three states. This will be a journey of 2000 kilometers (1243 miles) by riding my motorcycle. Lord willing, during this journey, the Good News will reach about 10 villages. We will show the Jesus Movie through a projector in about four villages. Also, we will go to 5 to 6 tribal villages and distribute New Testaments and pray for them. Please pray that God fulfills all my needs.

Praise Points

  1. Praise God! The woman I asked for prayer for, who was shut up in her house by her family is fine now and is coming to church again. Her brothers went to rescue her.
  2. Praise God! So far, all the medical reports for my wife are normal.
  3. Praise God, He kept me and my parents safe even though there is opposition all around.

Prayer Points

  1. Please pray for the family whose testimony I have written above- for S. and her children. May God keep them safe and keep them growing in faith.
  2. Please pray. I was preparing for about a year to send two students named R. and P. to Bible College. Before they could reach Bible College, their families sent them out of the state to work.
  3. Please pray for my wife. She is in the city and in the fifth month of pregnancy. She has to undergo dental treatment, for which I am going to the city again. May God keep my wife and my unborn child safe.
  4. Please pray for my mother and father. May God keep them safe from all kinds of pain and illness.

Thank you all for participating in the news.

May God bless you all.
