Only the Beginning

These last few weeks have really taught me a lot. I finished up the school in Mexico Rosarito and to be honest, they were a difficult last few weeks. However, because of circumstances I was able to pray and think back on my time in Rosarito.

I will never forget the first outreach with Calvary Chapel Homex, a church plant from Rosarito. A small church within a poor neighborhood, but perseverant workers in the Kingdom of God. Homex church service was outside because the building was small, but within this humble Church God moved. We handed out food and spent time praying and listening to people who lived in the dump. Being with them and watching my teammates love them was beautiful, but the best part was seeing those same men sitting in the Church pews on Sunday. It was glorious. I longed to see fruit from planted seeds, and that day, I saw it. It was an answer to prayer to be a witness to the Holy Spirit transforming lives. Lets keep them in prayer that they be raised up and fully turn from their ways, living out the life of Christ.

Jesus touched the hearts of the lost and the outcast and loved them. Thank you Lord that by your grace I am able to be a part of this ministry, that I had the privilege of having witnessed Christ amongst the poorest of men.

I won’t forget the moment I saw a boy named Kevin, shy, and separated from other kids during an outreach with Calvary Chapel Homex. I felt the Holy Spirit move and so I went up to him and shared with him a toy and cupcake. He was so happy and his smile warmed my heart. I thank my brother Geoff for capturing the moment with his camera.

The outreaches were true highlights, spending time with the people, sharing with them and hearing them. The language is sometimes a barrier but it was fun trying to understand each other through broken Spanish and English.

The school of Calvary Chapel showed me the vision for the Church body. We are all needed for this goal of spreading the Gospel. I was taught the value of being in the word, having servitude and relationships. Billions of People have not heard the Gospel and are dead for it. The cost is high, but the need is there. I have found my place in the body and my hope is for everyone to find theirs too for the sake of the lost.

After School of Missions I desire to continue in training. I don’t know where God will want me, but for today I will do more to serve the Church, learn, and continue the work of the Church. Currently I’m praying about an internship with Calvary Chapel Yorba Linda and hope to move there late September, early October. The internship will help me be invested in the word and in serving. I will learn leadership and strengthening skills as I prepare mentally and spiritually for the field ahead. Please continue with me in prayer that God bring Himself to Glory and honor through our work and lead me by His still voice.

I thank the Lord I am not alone in this fight, I have people who are equally invested and part of a body and common goal. By your love, partnership, and encouragement, I am able to continue the work.

I am so grateful to announce that my school fees have been completely paid off. I give glory to God for His provision and I give thanks towards the people He used. I know that God will continue to provide for me as I continue to serve. I am more grateful, however for the people who have caught vision of the purpose for the Church to move forward in the Great Commission and have supported the goal, serving the body and working together. I love you all so much and please be in contact that I may hear and support you in prayer as well. That I may be used to pour over your lives as you have poured into mine. Thank you for your partnership and if you would like continue supporting me please let me know.
