With us packing and preparing to go, I only have time for a quick newsletter. Thank you for your understanding.
The Battle
“The Battle is not yours, but God’s.” 2 Chronicles 20:15b
While we were on the East Coast, Zachary had a breakdown during church service. We left the service and entered the prayer room. I was praying over all the battles going on in my life and as I looked up, I saw a cross on the wall with this scripture. The peace that flooded me at that moment and has not gone away. All the battles are God’s!
This month was elections in Uganda. I had messages that our uncles house next door was stoned and that police had come and shot some bullets. Shortly after the internet was shut off for many days. I kept holding to this scripture and like all else in the Bible, it held true. The children’s camp and also the youth retreat was blessed with so many testimonies from all those who came and those who served. God never stops moving. Our bank accounts kept getting closed also due to elections, but God opened them, and we received the funds to pay all the staff. Our Bible College started although a week late. All our Ugandan children and staff were safe. God is so good!
Even as we prepare to go back to Uganda, that battle is God’s. We wait on Vincent’s visa hoping it comes in time for our flight on the 10th. We also got word that the boys and I may need to switch our permanent residency and dependance passes to the electronic system. Don’t know what all this will mean but as I want to worry, I remember this scripture and trust God will provide someone honest to help us and for the finances needed. We have so many luggage’s and trusting God for the airport not to tax us and to allow all the blessing to go through safely. Vincent still has his gallstones and Zachary his GI issues, but we trust God to sustain or even heal these as we go in faith knowing there is so much work we need to do. We can no longer wait for insurance, etc. at this time. So no matter your battles today, I wanted to remind you, the battle is not yours but God’s!
Praise and Prayer:
· We praise God for our leaders in Midigo and how He has used them while we have been away. We also praise God for the miracles He has done this month.
· We praise God for all He did while we were on the East Coast! We continue to pray for CC Greer and CC Old Bridge, seeking the LORD’s will for when they can come to Midigo again.
· We praise God for the article in Calvary magazine! We also praise God for the last teachings we were able to share in America. Vincent at CC La Verne teaching about “Our prayers and His plans.” Myself at CC Golden Springs teaching on “The Mind.” These are both online if you missed them.
· Please pray as our school opens this coming week! Our school tested in the top again and we are anticipating even more new students. We also needed to hire more teachers, please pray they are teachers who seek and serve God with a heart to train up these children in the way they should go.
· Pray for Vincent’s visa to come in time for our flight on the 10th. Pray for all the travel details, time change, driving, even weather adjustment, etc. There is so much involved, and we will hit the ground running.
Thank you for all your prayers and love for us!!!
