Year 7 of the Calvary School of Missions Completed!!
Calvary School of Missions class of 2025
Lives were transformed, missionaries were called, and a clear path toward the nations was forged this summer through the 2025 Calvary School of Missions. Over the course of six weeks, ten students set aside their time, comfort, and routines to seek God’s direction for their lives—and the results were undeniable. Their hearts and minds were reshaped by the Word of God, and each one left with a deeper conviction that the Great Commission is not optional, but a command to every believer. Jesus declared, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel,” a charge He repeated five times, including Acts 1:8: “But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me…to the end of the earth.” These students now stand ready, mobilized, and committed to pursue God’s call, with eight already enrolling in further training through our Missions Training Program at Calvary Chapel Saving Grace. We are confident that the seeds planted this summer will continue to grow into fruitful lives that impact the nations for Christ. Please join us in prayer for these future world changers as they take their next steps.

Amidst persecution, tragedy and poverty, God is moving!
Over the last few weeks there has been excessive flooding in South Asia and Pakistan. We have national workers who are mobilizing to come alongside those effected by these floods and are looking for effective ways to reach out to the communities and bring relief in Jesus' name. Many of our workers have already been in some of these villages affected and have shared the gospel in these places. Please pray for them to find open doors through these tragedies to share the hope of the gospel.
Our Bible colleges in South Asia have been receiving new students and starting new semesters. Amidst much opposition and persecution, they are boldly moving forward in making disciples and raising up the next generation of church planters. Each of our Calvary Bible Institute directors are stepping out in faith as they find ways to bring new students into the program. Because of the uprise of persecution and violence against Christians, one of our CBI's lost their facility because the owner was afraid to allow them to continue to meet there. They still have no permanent building but are finding ways to meet despite this set back. Please pray for the schools as they move forward in the training and seek to glorify God by planting churches amongst the most unreached!
We love receiving updates from all our national workers as they move forward in reaching the most remote places on the earth. They are actively preaching the gospel and their labor has been fruitful. They are all still conducting baptisms amidst great pressure from families and communities to stop all their gospel activity. But these dear brothers and sisters have committed in their hearts to continue the work as the disciples did in Acts 4:19-20, "But Peter and John answered and said to them, “Whether it is right in the sight of God to listen to you more than to God, you judge. For we cannot but speak the things which we have seen and heard.” Please continue to pray for all our national workers, for financial provision, spiritual and emotional strength, and boldness to continue sharing the Good News!
New Work in the Philippines

We are thrilled to share how God has opened a new door for ministry in Tagaytay, Philippines. After much prayer and a series of answered petitions, the Lord has made it clear that this is a place where He is calling us to invest. In partnership with Pastor Tony Reyes, we will be launching the Calvary School of Missions Philippines and assisting at the Calvary Bible Institute to train and equip future church planters.
In January 2024, Pastor Trent and a team from CCSG traveled to the Philippines to teach The Purpose of the Church at CBI, ministering not only to students but also to pastors and church planters from the surrounding region. During that time, God impressed upon Trent the unique strategic importance of the Philippines. Positioned on the edge of the 10/40 Window—the region containing the majority of the world’s unreached people groups—the Philippines stands as a gateway into South Asia and Southeast Asia. (See the attached map for reference: the Philippines rests at the edge of the red block, making it an ideal launching point for the gospel into unreached nations.)

Since that trip, we have been seeking the Lord about whether He was calling us to step through this open door and establish a School of Missions in the Philippines. This past June, He confirmed that call by bringing together a team of CSOM graduates who are now preparing to move there. In mid-January, Deprii, Macey, and Alani will join Pastor Tony in leading the school, while Pastors Tim Pappas, Gary Barrow, and Trent will oversee the program from January 28–February 28. CSOM Philippines is uniquely designed for national workers, with the vision of training students from across Southeast Asia—from India to Vietnam, down through Indonesia, and everywhere in between—to plant churches that will in turn plant more churches. While our CSOM in Mexico will continue equipping American and Latin workers, this new school will serve as a hub for raising up national leaders to reach some of the most unreached regions of the world through church planting.
This is more than just a new program; it is a fresh front in the advance of the gospel. We believe this gifted team has been called by God for such a time as this, and we anticipate a powerful movement of church planting among the world’s most unreached. Please join us in prayer as we step out in faith, trusting the Lord to multiply His work from the Philippines into the unreached nations of Southeast Asia.

Deprii, one of our graduates, will be acting as Assistant Director of CBI Philippines.

Alani and Macey spent a season in South Asia for cross-cultural training and will be part of the team.
