Spring/Summer 2026 SGWM Newsletter
God continues to be faithful in raising up and sending out church planters all over the world through Saving Grace World Missions. Having a front row seat to see all that He is doing amongst the nations is a privilege and honor and we can’t wait to share with you His continued work to seek out and save the lost. Thank you for your continued partnership as we together take steps of faith in obeying His Great Commission, until all have heard of the One who loves them and proved it on the cross.
Huge Step of Faith:
Hosting Our First SGWM Missions Conference
Excited to receive each person arriving!

According to The Pattern Missions Conference
For years, the team at SGWM have dreamed of hosting our own missions conference at Calvary Chapel Saving Grace, and this year, that dream became a reality. As we moved towards the planning and executing of this conference, we saw God's hand in it every step of the way. Meeting after meeting, and step by step, we saw God provide, lead, and prepare us for what He wanted to do through this 2 day conference. People came from all over to be encouraged to be a part of fulfilling the Great Commission and were given many opportunities to discover what that may look like in their own lives and ministries. One of the highlights was the pastor's dinner we hosted on Friday night where we were able to explain our desire to partner with other churches to see the world won for Jesus. The pastors and wives who joined us for this dinner were very encouraged and stirred up to be more active in missions and mobilize their churches to GO or SEND in order to do their part in fulfilling the command to “Go into all the world and preach the gospel.” All the main teachings and workshops were practical and stirring for the attendees. We heard so much feedback about how they learned so much and their eyes were opened so much more to what it means to do biblical missions. Please pray for us as we are already preparing for next year’s missions conference.
Mark your calendars for our missions conference for March 5-6, 2027 and pray about bringing a group of ministry partners or friends to be a part of this life-changing, world-shaking event!

Testimony from one of our National Church Planters
Another Blessed Weekend of Ministry:
“Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed.” – John 8:36

This worker travels many miles to unreached villages to bring the gospel to those who have never heard. Here’s a recent recap of his outreach.
“This weekend I had the opportunity to meet many Hindu friends and families who heard the Gospel for the first time. One story that especially encouraged me was about a man who had been suffering for a long time. His family had sought help from doctors and through various religious practices, but nothing seemed to help.
As I shared the Gospel and explained that true freedom and hope are found only in Jesus Christ, he listened carefully. Along with several others who were hearing the message for the first time, he chose to put his faith in Christ. We prayed together and committed his life to the Lord. It was a wonderful reminder that God can change any life.
I also met with a childhood friend and shared my testimony of how God transformed my life. We had meaningful conversations about faith, and I was able to share that Jesus is the only way to salvation.
Thank you for your prayers and support. Please pray that God will continue to open doors for the Gospel and strengthen those who are responding to Christ.”
Please continue to pray for our church planters who are working hard to bring the gospel to the most unreached places on earth.

Things are Moving in the Middle East

After years of praying, and training, and sending, and learning, we have finally come to the place where we are confident that our team in the Middle East are ready to start church planting. In coordination with the church they attend there, we are looking to start a home bible study in an area where there are not any churches. Our team will meet weekly in the home of one of the church members and begin teaching through the word verse by verse. Three of our leaders will share the teaching schedule and rotate week to week. All three of them are ready to teach the Bible in Arabic. We are so proud of all their hard work and dedication to get to this stage of their mission. Please continue to pray for our team as they get ready for these next steps of faith.

Spain: A New Hub to the Nations

Spain has long been referred to as the "graveyard of missionaries." But that reputation has not stopped Pastor Manuel Canedo and his family from setting their hearts on planting a church there. As they have sought the Lord, they have become convinced that He has opened an effectual door for the gospel in Spain. They are excited to see what God will do as He changes the reputation of Spain from a graveyard for missionaries into a place where healthy, thriving churches are planted and multiplied.
As one of the first Mexican missionaries sent through Saving Grace World Missions, the Canedo family represents an important step in seeing Mexico transformed from a mission field into a missions force. Like many families called to the mission field, they have wrestled with the fears and uncertainties that come with relocating their family of five. Yet God has faithfully strengthened Pastor Manuel's faith through His Word and through the testimonies of missionaries who have gone before them. He has replaced anxiety with a deep confidence in His provision and an overwhelming sense of His peace. Today, the Canedo family looks ahead with great anticipation, trusting that the God who calls is always faithful to provide.
As Pastor Manuel prayed about this move, this quote from Hudson Taylor became a great encouragement to him:
"I am no longer anxious about anything, for I realize this: He whom I know is able to carry out His will, and His will is mine. It does not matter at all where He places me or how...
...It matters little to my servant whether I send him to buy a few inexpensive items or the most costly ones. In either case, he looks to me for the money and brings back the purchases. So if God were to place me in a situation where I do not know what to do, would He not give me much guidance; in a position of great difficulty, much grace; in circumstances of great pressure and trial, much strength? There is no fear that His resources will prove insufficient for the emergency. And His resources are mine, because He is mine, He is with me, and He lives in me."
With hearts full of faith, Pastor Manuel joined Pastor Trent and a team of 14 to travel to Almería, Spain, to pray, seek the Lord, and scout the area. Throughout the trip, the team met with pastors and ministry leaders who confirmed that God is building unity among His church and opening doors for gospel partnership. They were greatly encouraged by conversations with church leaders from a variety of backgrounds and gained a clearer understanding of the spiritual climate in Spain. While many Spaniards are skeptical of religion, they remain open to genuine relationships and honest spiritual conversations.
The trip only strengthened Pastor Manuel's conviction that God is calling them to plant a church in Almería. They believe this church plant will be the first of many throughout Spain and will become a launching point for reaching the many unreached nations that surround it. We are trusting that God has already opened a door for the gospel that no one can shut and that Spain will be a strategic location as a hub to the nations!

We ask that you would prayerfully consider becoming a financial partner with SGWM. Financial partners are crucial to help operating costs at the SGWM home base, allowing us to serve missionaries worldwide. Ongoing monthly donations are the best way to effectively partner with us. Thank you for your prayerful consideration.
