Vincent Family February 2026
Missions Update
Greetings from Mexico. I hope that your new year of 2026 began well! Here on our end, we had an exciting month full of new activities and ministry preparation, and in this update I want to tell you all about it!
The month began with Sarah taking our 15 Pastors wives on a retreat to a beautiful area about an hour south of us called the “Valle de Guadalupe! (Guadalupe Valley) This beautiful Valley East of Ensenada is famous for it’s wine and vineyards and each year has tourists traveling there from all over the world. We enjoy this destination so much that Sarah and I have even spent two of our anniversaries there at some local air b-n-b’s! For this Pastor’s wives retreat, our church rented the largest house in town, where these wonderful ladies spent time fellowshipping, praying, and cementing their friendships! (Talking about their husbands, our Pastors, was strictly off limits! Hahaha)
Also in January, Sarah taught at a women’s conference hosted by our friends at Calvary Chapel Tijuana. The title of this conference was “Standing Firm” and Sarah did a wonderful job teaching on how to use the Armor of God (Ephesians 6:10-18) to help us stand firm! How do I know Sarah’s teaching to these ladies was amazing? I peaked and watched it live on YouTube! I am so thankful to have a wife and partner that is gifted, a hard worker, and faithful to what God has called her to do!
Speaking of Retreats, I was able to lead a mini-retreat for some of the Pastors that are the leading church planters in our movement. Seven of us got away from the busyness of life and ministry and gathered for a couple days to pray, receive vision, and come up with plans to help other Pastors and churches (outside of our church planting movement) move forward in the great missions work of church planting. We have seen God open up many new doors with Pastors inviting us to other states and countries to teach them about church planting and share with them my book, “The Sending Hub!” This year I have six trips planned including first time church planting trips to the Philippines, Germany, Idaho, and Boston!
On the church side of things, we began our new church planting class in January and I was blown away by the new students and all of their excitement. We have 44 students in total attending our two classes, and this includes 14 first time students! I will never get tired of seeing their excited faces and wide eyed amazement as these rookies, take in the heavy requirements we ask of them as they train up to church plant. As I gaze around the classroom I am encouraged as I believe that God is going to call many of them to be our future church planters. Please keep these new gifted students in your prayers as we take this two year journey together with our church planting class!
Also on the church side of things, in January we experienced our largest church attendance weekend in our history. Just last weekend (January 24/25) we had 27 first time professions of faith and also 25 baptisms spread out over our four weekend services. The most amazing thing to me is how all four of our services are now filling up. When you take a step of faith like we did six months ago and add a new service, it takes a while to see our 700 seat sanctuary fill up. But Praise the Lord, that is exactly what we have been able to witness. For the first time, all four of our services are over 60% occupancy, and our third service (Sunday at 10:30am) was at 90% occupancy! Numbers don’t matter at all to God, but we are called to reach people, and when we do that, the church grows. We feel so thankful and we give all of the glory and honor to Jesus Christ for the increase He is bringing.
I know that many of you have been praying for our land situation that we have been going to court about and I want to thank you for that. Nothing has changed on our court case, but when there is a change or a new court date set you will be the first to know. To be honest, right now our focus is on finally purchasing our building. After 13 years of waiting, the owner has told us she is ready to sell. We are still finalizing up negotiations with her, but it appears the purchase price will be around 1.2 million dollars for the land and our beautiful church facility. Although that is a huge sum of money, we believe that nothing is impossible with God. Please keep our negotiating and our upcoming fund raising in your prayers!
Finally, I want to thank you once again for your partnership with our family here in the ripe mission fields of Mexico. When we moved down here almost 24 years ago we could never have dreamed what God had in store for us. Thankfully, we were never alone. We have always felt loved, supported, and cared for by you, our precious ministry partners! Thank you!
Con mucho amor de Mexico, (with much love from Mexico)
Mike, Sarah, Grace, and Daniel
