A Time of Preparation

During my time at Calvary Bible Institute (CBI), the Lord has stirred my heart for missions. Though it was the last thing I desired to do coming into CBI, the Lord has begun to work in my heart for the lost and unreached. It was through the Purpose of the Church class taught by Trent Douglas that the Lord began to stir my heart for the Unreached. After leaving that class there was a burning desire to see the Gospel impact the lives of the unreached. However, the question remains where does the Lord desire me to go?

The question seems daunting but I am reminded of the Lord’s faithfulness over and over again to reveal His will to me. This reminder comforts me and encourages me to prepare myself for the time ahead. I believe my time at the School of Missions, which is a 6-week program in Mexico which will prepare me for what the Lord is calling me to do as we study the book of Acts and learn about biblical missions. As I continue to seek Him and let Him do His work in me I trust He will reveal where He wants me to go. So what has the Lord been doing?

As I look ahead to the upcoming month I see an open door to spending time reaching out to my community. At the moment all I can do is think up ideas of ways to reach my community with the Gospel. I pray that the Lord would open up the doors for me and a couple of other young adults to do ministry out in the public parks. One idea that I’m praying about is having a free barbeque and live music with a gospel message to reach my community. Prayerfully, the Lord will provide all that is needed to do this outreach and more.

How can you help?

During this time of preparation, I could use prayer for many things. First, please pray for the Lord to continue to protect me from the attacks of the enemy. You can also be praying for the Lord to provide people to aid in this outreach and for the Lord to protect them. Lastly, pray that the Lord would reveal His will for my life and that He would strengthen me to do His will.

Thank you so much for all your prayers and support. I really do appreciate you taking the time to pray for me and the ministries the Lord has given me.
