Going into the world and preaching the Gospel

A Few Extra Steps

hello lovely family

This is the first week of the school of missions in Rosarito, Mexico. While others have made it to the Connections House (where we will be staying), Bryan and I have been delayed due to sickness. I (Kayla) unfortunately have caught Covid while on our travels and we are staying in the States until I get better. With this, we have been in a challenging experience.

Nevertheless, the Lord has really been so gracious to us and has provided us a place to stay for the week that we are in southern California! We are planning on making it to Mexico this next Sunday. And with the blessings of modern technology, we are able to be apart of the studies and class through video and be part of the team.

The team and staff in Mexico have been amazing in communicating with us and making sure that we are doing well. Spiritually, Bryan and I are taking this time to press into Him and study in our isolation. Knowing that He is our sustenance and our joy!

As I was talking to my sister about our postponement from travels, she encouraged me Psalm 139. This verse in that passage has really stuck with me,

"Search me, O God, and know my heart! Try me and know my thoughts! And see if there be any grievous way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting!"

While trails can be hard and unforeseen changes can cause emotional stress, knowing that through these we learn more about ourselves and about how God is really in control; brings the comfort needed to for our joy in all situations.

There are many ways that you can support us through this and the most important is prayer. As we are in this journey there will be spiritual battle and the need for our loved ones and church body to support us in that way. We cannot humbly ask that enough. The power of prayer to our Saviour is the most essential.

  • Healing in sickness
  • Strength in isolation,
  • Focus for virtual classes

Another way is financially, the cost of this program for both of us is about $4,600. As students we are encouraged to reach out and utilize the support of the church body in this way. Only thing I would ask would be to be in consistent prayer and obedience through this way of support, listening to the Holy Spirit for His guidance. If you feel led to partner with us there is a link at the bottom of the page to get started. We appreciate you for getting behind us!

Love you all dearly!

Bryan and Kayla
