Going into the world and preaching the Gospel

Time for Reflection

hello lovely family!

When he came and saw the grace of God, he was glad, and exhorted them all to remain faithful to the Lord with steadfast purpose.
Acts 11:23

We have made it to Mazatlán, Mexico!

Both Bryan and I are excited to be visiting the multiple church plants here in the southern coast of Mexico. This last week has been further sealing of our hearts to global missions for the Gospel. Especially, after hearing from faithful obedient pastors and families who left all; to love and share the real salvation of Jesus to people they don’t know. The examples that they live for the Lord has been nothing short of an honor to witness.

This last weekend we were at a church planting conference in Rosarito, Mexico. This was a special blessing to meet many new people and hear from some amazing teachers who have truly sacrificed all for God. We have been so encouraged!

Personal reflection…

And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all you strength.
Mark 12:30

My heart and spirit has been immensely overwhelmed with the need for the knowledge of Jesus and for intense spiritual maturity in this life. I have personally been learning to practice self discipline in multiple facets. Discipling not only my mind to the growing knowledge of the Bible, but also spiritually and physically discipling. For example (and the most challenging for me): some girls and I have been getting up early to workout physically (about 5am). To really challenge ourselves to push hard physically. Much of working out has been a mental battle. Nevertheless, when I try and push past what my mind is telling me, it is actually teaching me to endure and persevere. When I feel this “wall” in my mind, whether physically, spiritually or even emotionally, I am learning to pray for the Holy Spirit to give me strength to deny my fleshly desire to quit. This has been rewarding for me to carry these actions spiritually. We are whole people, mind, body and spirit. And we need to discipline our lives, to live more holistically so that we are able to worship God in all aspects of life. To be able to withstand the hardships and challenges of our walks with Jesus. Learning that when we can’t go on, the Lord strengthens me giving Him all glory.

I learned this after hearing from a couple who are living in the 10/40 window and it has really touched my heart. Hearing and watching them live out these disciplines in a hostile country, where it is illegal to talk about Jesus to others, has been encouraging me to start these disciplines now.

One of our favorite things about Mexico…Lots of dogs!

We want to thank every one of you for keeping in touch with us and encouraging us through prayer and beautiful words of affirmation in the Lord. Bryan and I are truly blessed to be sharing our journey with you!

The plans of the heart belong to man. But the answer of the tongue is from the LORD. All the ways are pure in his own eyes, but the LORD weighs the spirit. Commit your ways to the LORD and your plans will be established. The LORD has made everything for its purpose, even the wicked for the day of trouble.

Proverbs 16: 1-4

Supporting

Praying is essential and the most important to fight against the spiritual and emotional conflict! Please support by praying for,

  • boldness to fully surrender to the will of the Lord for the nations and for our lives
  • Unity and love within the team. To not give into our own preferences and to love each other sacrificially
  • Praises for the majority health of the team
  • Strength for the leadership
  • For Bryan and I’s direction for next steps. For the Lord to make our path clear according to His will.

Another way of support is financially!

The team and CC Stone Island
The beautiful streets of Mazatlán. Walking the streets have been one of my favorite things to do

the cost of this program for both of us is about $4,600. As students we are encouraged to reach out and utilize the support of the church body and community in this way.

Praise the Lord we have raised a little over half of our tuition!

Only thing we would ask would be to be in consistent prayer and obedience through this way of support, listening to the Holy Spirit for His guidance. If you feel led to partner with us there is a link at the bottom of the page to get started. We appreciate you for getting behind us!

Love you all dearly!!
