God’s Given Me A Place

Tirta Gangga Temple

I think it’s time I tell you all that God has given me a specific country for missions. Are you ready… Bali, Indonesia. A few months ago God placed Indonesia in my heart and I didn’t understand why. If you remember from my previous letter this is the reason I was fearful God was going to call me to go the Middle East because He had already given me a heart for Bali. The more I have been researching about Bali the more my mouth has been wide open because of the religious practices Balinese people practice. Indonesia is populated with Muslims but Bali is an exception. Bali is 90% Hindu. Bali has two main indigenous groups, Bali Aga Tribe and Majapahit Tribe. The Bali Aga Tribe live in the mountains and there are around eight villages they live in. Majapahit Tribe live in the low island. The photo above is of a temple God led me to which is in Bali, long story short it’s how it all started.

Prayer Life

I have had so much time to pray and seek God like never before. I have been writing my prayers and something about writing prayers is different than just praying in your mind or out loud. I absolutely love it because I am able to see the prayers God has answered, prayers I am waiting on and prayers of people I am interceding for. I recommend you do this if it’s something you don’t already do.

Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him.

Evangelizing

On Saturday, we partnered with Calvary Chapel La Gloria Church for an outreach. We split into groups to go around the neighborhood and invite people to the event. My group went by a Church Of Latter Day Saints. We saw construction workers working and we were contemplating if we should go talk with them. As we passed the church the Lord tugged my heart to go back and talk with them and we did. We were able to have a conversation with Rodrigo who was a Mormon. For about an hour I went back and forth with him. I remember praying in my head for the Lord to put it in my teammates heart to be praying for me as I talked with Rodrigo because I was the only spanish speaker who could communicate with him. A few minutes later I heard them praying and it was a beautiful moment. I couldn’t have done this without the Holy Spirit bringing things to remembrance and my teammates interceding for me. At the end of the conversation we were able to pray for him and I am praying he comes to know the real truth. It is moments like these that I always pray God puts in my path because I love sharing Gods truth with others.

Wednesday Service at Calvary Chapel Playas De Tijuana. It was super sweet to see my friend Mackenzie, (who I went to bible college with) and her parents. Her dad is the pastor. They all so dearly hold a place in my heart. Be praying for them as God is calling them out of Mexico to Peru, be praying how they can be ministering to the people in Peru and that their congregation would get behind them.
