Fighting The Call With LIES

Hello, family and friends

Happy New Year!

Have you ever fought against where God has called you or placed you? Because, I have. Little did I know that I was allowing myself and the enemy to get in the way of God’s calling in my life.

When I went to Yucca Valley for a visit, a friend of my friend asked me what was I doing now after graduating Bible college. When I answered his question I said “I am in a missions internship in Yorba Linda. I want to do missions and go overseas, perhaps to Afghanistan or Egypt”. This was a basic and straightforward answer but I had no idea the words I spoke would have an impact in my mind. Which seems silly, but you see, in the past two months I have been lying to myself and others about not knowing/wanting to do missions. I was starting to believe that I could be the sender. The one who supports missionaries. I was allowing fear and the enemy tell me I wasn’t capable of being the one to go.

Now that the truth has been revealed to me, God has lit a fire in my soul that can only be put out by Him as self gets out of the way. I am excited to do my Fathers will as it is my will. More then ever I want to go overseas. My soul is clinging to biblical conviction and the love for my brothers and sisters who don’t know who Christ is. I was lead to search about Muslims and the Islamic faith, thinking this was the people group the Lord wanted me to minister to. In doing this God has blown my mind and shown me so much. He connected me with an old friend who was a Muslim and is now a Christian. She has connected me with someone who is studying the Islamic faith. As I am learning more about this my heart is getting stirred for people who have actually never heard the name Jesus. In the Quran Jesus is mentioned although, its all corrupted and they need to know the truth but where I can see myself is going to villages and ministering to people in those isolated, deserted places.

2022

The past year was filled with many blessings

  • Did a spoken word of my testimony at a girls youth conference
  • Graduated Calvary Bible Institute
  • Completed School of Missions
  • Gods hand of provision

I am excited for what the Lord has in store for this coming year!

I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God
Romans 12:1-2

We started our 15 minute teachings in the intern class. I am absolutely enjoying it. I have had a deep desire to teach the word of God and now I get to grow in the word and teach it.

Woman’s Christmas Event

Cory who is a missionary in Peru spoke at our Missions Bible study

Praise Reports

  • I am enjoying our teaching class which is a prayer answered
  • Started a Bible study with my mom
  • The car my sister gave me has been paid off

Prayer Request

  • For God to provide a job
  • To be able to defend my faith when its in question
  • For Cory and his family who will be adopting
  • For those who have never heard the name Jesus

I would greatly appreciate your continued partnership with me in prayer as the Lord continues to prepare me for cross-cultural ministry and leads me to a certain part of the world and people group. If you feel led to make a one time or monthly donation to my missions account for future mission trips and eventually for being sent out, that would mean so much to me. Saving Grace World Missions requires 80% monthly funding before moving onto the field, so any amount would be a huge blessing as I start this process by faith for whatever the future might look like.

God bless you,

Araceli
