Wait and Trust

“My soul, wait silently for God alone, For my expectation is from Him.”
Psalm 62:5

I am writing this newsletter with a bit of a heavy heart. Zachary’s GI tract is again blocking up, and I am leaving for Texas tomorrow. He has had many laxatives, a Miralax colonoscopy cleanse, milk of magnesia, and suppository but x-rays show he is still blocked. Please pray he will empty before I leave or right when I get on the plane and not need to be hospitalized! I also have some more tests for myself. These are just to make sure everything going on is due to hormones and not something more. The next mammogram with ultrasound combined isn’t until I get back from the Pastors' Wives Retreat so we will be staying a little longer in America than expected. It is wise not to get tickets until we have results and know both Zachary and I will be cleared to go home; so we wait.

Please don’t get me wrong, there are also amazing opportunities and many blessings to be joyful for. This month I was blessed to go to Ontario Christian School and share with the 5th-7th graders in 2 separate classes. Seeing the spark in their eyes for missions, answering the interesting questions, and praying for God’s plan in their lives, leaves me crazy excited for their future. Being loved on by so many on my birthday also left me blessed and grateful. Even getting gifted a vacation with my parents was beyond what the boys and I could have imagined with memories for life and the feeling of unworthiness. The rest of this month was homeschooling, doctors’ appointments, and preparing for the teachings to come. Both of my teachings are way too long so please be praying with me as I need to keep cutting. Seeing what God wanted to only show me and what God has for everyone else is never easy. In Texas I am blessed to teach about the “Attributes of a Builder,” and at Golden Springs on October 13th, the message will be on “The Shield of Faith.”

On Midigo Side

“For with God nothing will be impossible.” Luke 1:37

I can’t believe the day has come but we were finally able to get the cylinder block making machine! Vincent’s assistant, Socrates, will be bring it to Midigo from Kampala this week. We pray to start making blocks right away and start building our Secondary School/ Boarding High School. This school has been on our hearts for over 10 years, but it seems like the Lord’s timing has come!!!! The land titled, machine bought, now we continue prayers for the proper foundations, both spiritual and physical, with God directing each step.

Many blessings in Midigo:

Bible college with 28 students staying faithful and growing.

Our nursery and primary school has opened the next and last semester for this year successfully.

Preparing for a wedding in November with one of our teachers and one of the young ladies I have watched grow up over the last 17 years.

Lastly, our church is getting some overdue love as we work on the ceiling and expanding the sanctuary since having outgrown the church.

All has caused our hearts to overflow with gladness.

Prayer Requests and Praise Reports:

  • Please pray that the Lord heals these last health issues so we can go back. Please also pray for the finances to fly back and all the blessings we hope to take with us. Airfare keeps rising.
  • Please also pray as we hope to visit my aunt and uncle one last time before we leave.
  • Please pray as our church services will move momentarily to the Koinonia Center during renovations and construction.
  • Pray for the plan of the school farm as we begin fencing and drilling the water well hopefully towards the end of October.
