April! What a Month!
Easter and the Gospel
“I Am the resurrection and the life....” John 11:25
Easter and Passion week! Remember, reflect, and share! We met every day with different pastors teaching throughout the week. One day I laughed as My husband and our assistant pastor led worship, and our worship pastor taught. The biggest blessing is that church chairs were full showing the desire in the hearts of the members. Time of deep worship, repentance, and an awe at the beauty of God! On Easter we had the blessing of dedicating a baby whose mom has gone through years of ridicule for being barren but now blessed. We also prayed over a worship team member who has been restored after repentance! Flowing the amazing service, many people came to our house for a meal. Muslims can’t come to the church, but they can come to our house for food. We try to make every option available to share the gospel. We then rushed to the church for sharing, games, skits from our children at school, and another meal. Our assistant pastor, worship pastor, their wives, then accompanied our family to the crusade Vincent preached at near the South Sudan boarder. This was our son’s first time at a crusade. Many got saved and were told where all the nearby churches are for plugging in. It was the most busy but blessed Easter ever. But it didn’t stop there. On Easter Monday we had our football/soccer team over. They used our bbq and played some games then we shared and prayed together. Many of the young men who say they are Muslim have changed. I tell them they can’t hide their fruit and the light I see in them. I know time is coming soon for those big steps in faith.

The Not Planned Team Team
“Let brotherly love continue. Don’t neglect to show hospitality...” Hebrews 13:1-2
This month while having our amazing friend from Canada, I had tried to do homeschool with all other crazy surprises a day can bring in my life here day. From surprise guests for football, to picking up a friend from the hospital, to the broken wall at the church compound. Then as I thought the day was done and the stars came out, I pulled into the compound and asked my Canadian friend, “Are there 2 other whites in my compound or is it my eyes?” Some of my husband’s friends who have ministry in Arua had come and brought some German missionaries. Long story short, these ladies are long term missionaries serving in Kenya and came to do a few days training in Yumbe for Muslim Evangelism. As we sat with them, we realized one of their husbands who came to Yumbe in 1990, was the one who brought our late uncle Mafat to Christ, who then shared with Vincent, who then became a Christian in that year. It touched all our hearts! The fruit that is still coming from a faithful answered call to go and share the gospel. They stayed a few days and then they were gone. It was a blessed world wind and reminded me how much I love my crazy life in Africa and how blessed I am that everyone knows there is a place to stay in Midigo with us no matter the time or circumstance.

Church Plants the Lasting Way
“Unless the LORD builds a house, its builders labor over it in vain.” Psalm 127:1a
We praise God after watching, testing, and praying over some of our pastors, God has guided us to finalize the church plant in Koboko. This means not only to send out a pastor and wife but also others for accountability and support. Unfortunately, we have seen too many pastors and churches started without testing, accountability, and especially the calling from Christ, turning others away from the gospel instead of sharing it. We praise God this month we have prayed over the Senior pastor and assistant pastor with their families. Last Sunday we went to visit and share with their small and growing congregation. Filling our vehicle with our family, our friend visitor, assistant pastor, and his wife. We entered the church (small, ripped tarps hanging from their unfinished house). Vincent taught the word from Acts and shared some of his testimony. After, we had lunch, we then checked on some of the lands for sell. We walked from place to place, and I greeted all the neighbors knowing these are future church members. We continue to pray as we liked one land in particular and now wait to see what the LORD will do.

Prayer Requests and Praise Reports:
· The carpenters have come to start making the library furniture!!!! Please pray for God’s provision to continue and for direction on which system to use for the books.
· The football ministry is centered on Christ and winning games again.
· We had a great time with the community laughing as they watched our women’s ministry play soccer/football against our men’s ministry.
· God brought my friend in the most perfect time. Once again, the same attacks that we thought had finally ended, are continuing. God knew I needed a friend here so I could have a support, making it easier to support my husband. She more importantly has done an amazing training for the midwives in our district, saving many mother’s and children’s lives in the future. The gospel was the center and shared with all the medical personnel who came for the trainings. We also started making soap as many babies die simply for the lack of soap. Please pray as her travels continue now to Europe.
Thank you for all your prayers and love for us!!!
