Back Home, But Still Going
After weeks of travel, ministry, teaching, serving, and making memories together, CSOM is finally back home! What a season it has been.
As we’ve had a little time to catch our breath and reflect on all that God has done, our hearts are full of gratitude. We’ve seen God faithfully lead, provide, stretch, encourage, and equip our students every step of the way.
This season wasn’t just about traveling to new places or serving in different churches. It was about learning what it means to say “yes” to Jesus wherever He sends us. From serving alongside local churches to ministering to children, encouraging pastors and missionaries, navigating challenges together, and sharing the Gospel, our students were given opportunities to put into practice what they have been learning.
We are so thankful for every person who prayed, gave, encouraged, hosted, cooked, served, and opened their hearts to our CSOM team along the way. You are part of this ministry, and we could not do it without you.
Now that we’re home, the ministry doesn’t stop. In many ways, this is where the next chapter begins. The students are processing all God has shown them, continuing to grow in their walk with Christ, and preparing for what He has next.
“Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations…”
Matthew 28:19
Missions Training School Has Officially Begun
Now that Missions Training School has officially begun, we are beyond grateful for the opportunity to serve alongside our Senior Pastor Trent and his wife Debbie as we pour into and train up these five beautiful new students. We are excited that the Lord has added to our leadership team this year. As Tim directs the school side-by-side with the best administrative assistant ever :-) Jenn, the Lord has brought Pastor Joel on board to assist in more of an active leadership role. It is exciting as we watched the Lord continue to build this team of leaders. It gives us the ability to provide more individualized attention to the students to be able to identify their gifts, talents skills, and needs. Discipleship and training these young men and women is a full-time job and definitely takes a team.
We are so excited to see what the Lord has in store for each one of them. This year, we have five new students who have answered the call to step out in faith and pursue what God has for their lives.
As they begin this journey, we know the Lord will grow them, stretch them, challenge them, and equip them for wherever He is calling them to serve. Our prayer is that they would not only gain knowledge and practical ministry experience, but that they would grow deeper in their relationship with Jesus and develop a heart for His people and the Great Commission.
We are honored to walk alongside them in this season and can’t wait to see how God writes their story!
“Faithful is He who calls you, who also will do it.”
— 1 Thessalonians 5:24
Thank you for going with us through your prayers and support. We can’t wait to share more of what God has done!

FROM THE FLOOD LAND TO DRY LAND
MAZATLAN & CORA TRIBE
One of the last things we do at our School of Missions is to visit an indigenous tribe in the mountains of Mexico. When we first started going up there five years ago, this tribe was completely unreached. Now there is a gospel presence and even a church plant. It is a wonderful opportunity to minister to young and old alike. Every year has its challenges and this year was no exception. Before we left Mazatlan, we got hit with a massive storm, streets were flooded, power was out. Fortunately Jesus took us from the flood lands to the dry land 7000 feet up in the mountains.
Before we left for the highlands of the mountains, a good friend of Tim's, Pastor Tony Carranza from Calvary Chapel Maranantha Mazatlan, invited him to be able to teach on a Sunday morning. It was both an honor and a blessing and slightly intimidating. Yet again, the Lord showed up and blessed the teaching of his Word as we worked through Acts chapter 2, taking a look at the day of Pentecost, and the differing responses people can have to miraculous works.
We just can't get enough of Mexico. A week after we returned from CSOM, we had an opportunity to go back down to Mexico for the weekend and attend the annual church planting conference at Calvary Chapel Rosarito. Tim’s, good friend and mentor, Pastor Mike Vincent, invited him to share at a workshop. The topic Tim chose was spiritual self care. The Lord blessed the message on the minister and church planter, taking care of himself physically, emotionally, relationally, but most importantly spiritually. Many attended and were highly engaged. There was great feedback. Overall, the Church planting conference was a 10/10 and the Lord spoke to many people that weekend.
