Moving Into Another Busy Season

Picking up where we last left off, which brings us to April & May…

Family tradition at Easter time - coloring eggs. This was Brian's first time, as it's not a common thing to do in Mexico.

A group from The Crossing Church in Costa Mesa, CA came to help a local private, Christian school. The school was given a list of repairs to do quickly or they’d be shut down. This group helped get a bunch of electrical & drywall work, as well as a new stairway, to show enough progress that the school has been able to remain open.

Street evangelism at a local park near the beach, downtown Rosarito. The park was full of high school age students. Some of the team even worked their way down the beach to share the gospel and pray with some people.

The team from Calvary Chapel Bakersfield also spent some time at Tent City at the Tijuana Dump, sharing the Word, praying with the people, and giving out some food.

Brittany, along with Brian and some of the brothers from our church, led some acoustic worship for a ladies’ event at our church. Since then, they’ve been been asked to lead worship together a lot.

We had the opportunity to visit a Taiwanese church in Garden Grove, CA, Formosen Presyterian Church. Ron spoke at the Sunday morning English service, and during the small group time as well.

That takes us through the month of May. A lot of time was spent getting ready for the four teams and three home builds in three weeks coming up starting May 31st. Kristy was busy with the children as they finished up their schoolwork for the year. Kristy also had two big photo shoots at CCR. Photos were taken of all of the families and people that attend the church at Easter, as well as Mother’s Day photos with all the moms and whoever they wanted to take pictures with. 5×7 prints were given out to everyone. It’s a big job, but it’s also super fun.

Please continue to keep us in prayer. We can certainly feel your prayers and we are so thankful!
