Summer, Our Busiest 10 Weeks of the Year!

Thank you for reading our blog!

And our sincerest thanks to ALL of you who pray for and support us!

Here are some fun facts for 2026 at Calvary Rosarito where we serve:

853 1st time and 341 2nd time visitors

163 Baptisms

494 Professions of faith

Those numbers also represent your fruit!

“By this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit...” John 15:8

…Imagine you are a hurting, needy soul! You look for a church hoping God will help you!

…Someone smiles at you, extends their hand, and welcomes you! How would you feel?

That is how we met Ramon and his family 4 years ago! This young man just finished our 2-year intern program and taught in the pulpit recently!

I am so blessed to be part of the follow-up teams as we try to get to know new people and connect them to our church community!

In fact, recently I got so focused on sending greetings and messages to all the people I just met one weekend, (not to mention making time for counseling a couple..) I forgot I was scheduled to translate our announcements! I suddenly thought hours later… oops, did I do the announcements at 1pm?

Of course, being a part of a bilingual church, there was someone right there to step up to the plate who I have been asking to help with translation for several years… the pastor’s son Daniel! Of course, all went well!

Summer Fruit

When I used to teach middle school, summers were a wonderful rest, full of vacations and swimming at Grandma’s pool. Now, summers are VERY busy here, but one of our joys we look forward to each summer is our annual Missions Update BBQ hosted at the home of James and Marlene Grove (our care team leaders). This July we celebrated our 5th anniversary serving and ministering in Mexico! And if you missed it, don’t forget to RSVP next year, we would love to have you!

Here are a few photos & events from our summer!

We were invited to teach the singles “Zion” group!

Both Claudia and I taught our Saturday morning “Doulos” class (1 year ministry training).
