It’s been a fun and fruitful five years!
Claudia and I have found our niche (our place) in our church family! We both get to teach and be taught by people we love and serve. Five years ago, we were advised by our friends and mentors Rob and Trent Douglass to go as “learners”! We have learned and continue to learn how to love the people in our community. We willingly were uprooted and replanted five years ago, and now our connection to our new home grows stronger than ever.

Five years is relatively short and it has certainly gone by quickly!
Below are a few images and links showing you what we’ve been up to lately. The youtube video is of a week ago when I got to teach in the pulpit from the Book of Nehemiah in the Bible!
Serving at a large and active church in Rosarito, Mexico is amazing!
In the first five months of 2026 we have seen:
618 First time visitors and
251 returning guests
104 baptisms and
346 professions of faith!
Every week I try to reach out and communicate with new folks like Miriam, who raised her hand to receive Christ as her Savior the Wednesday I got to teach! Claudia messaged her: “welcome to God’s family!”
Pray for us as so many people are coming to faith, we can hardly keep up!
Check out this great photo of 13 people who got baptized Saturday night!

Family Updates from the kids
Poiema and Ben finished up their college semester with straight A’s. Poiema will be returning to the summer camp job she had last year.
Cristian is finishing up his 2nd year of medical school and should be coming home for the summer soon. He and another student were given the opportunity to observe and assist in their first surgery. Despite the patient waking up several times during the surgery, much to Cristian’s alarm, all went well and the patient survived!

Legacy Project
We are also purchasing our church building after renting it for over 12 years! I believe we will accomplish this task by faith. My prayer is whether rich or poor, 100% of our congregation would give something so that all of us can celebrate together at the end of June!
In the Bible, there was a saint named Barnabas who sold property and donated it to the church in Jerusalem. I read that many people gave what God put on their hearts to help the early church!
“And Joses, who was also named Barnabas by the apostles (which is translated Son of Encouragement), a Levite of the country of Cyprus, having land, sold it, and brought the money and laid it at the apostles’ feet.” - Acts 4:36-37
Praise reports:
-Five years living and serving our Lord in Rosarito and Tijuana, Mexico!
-So many different people’s lives transformed by God!
-The trials and challenges that have taght us so much!
-God is GOOD!
Prayer requests:
-Good health to continue serving the Lord!
-God’s abundant provision financially to purchase our church building !
-God to help those souls still struggling and even those who have left!
-Continuing to make our relationship with God first and our marriage a priority!
