FRUITFUL!
What comes to mind when you think about fruitfulness? As Christian workers in Mexico near the busiest international border, we see a lot of spiritual fruit. Jesus said,
“I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.’ - John 15:5
I am constantly amazed at what God has done in our community: from a church that started in a living room back in 2002. Keep going back, and remember when the Christian Church started when God poured out His Spirit in an upper room on the day of Pentecost 2000 years ago!!! God is still reaching people! Here is just a small sample of the spiritual fruit we have witnessed since January 2026:

245 people professed faith in Christ for the first time and 68 people baptized!!!
…and hundreds of new and returning visitors!
It is truly a joy and privilege to be involved in the restoration of lives & families, mentoring future church planters and helping folks as they learn to walk with Jesus!
Especially to those of you who pray for us & support us, this is also YOUR spiritual fruit!
This month we would like to share some photos and stories of the people and lives we get to impact through the work we do in our local church as well as our mission trips to church plants that have been birthed from the Sending Hub that is Calvary Rosarito!

Claudia was invited to teach in La Paz, on the subject of biblical counseling. Such a great team to serve with from our church.
Encouraging the Churches in Michoacán and La Paz
Claudia has a special ministry to Pastor’s wives and recently visited the beautiful city of Morelia. She has developed a special friendship with Delia Madrid, Pastor Luis Areyzaga’s wife at Camino Viviente Morelia. https://www.facebook.com/caminovivientemorelia/
Pastor Luis completed our church planting program and was sent out 4 years ago to plant a church in the beautiful city of Morelia, Michoacan! Claudia has made yearly ministry trips there to support and mentor Delia, who is now organizing and leading a large group of ladies!
Watching precious saints grow into leaders is a joy and part of the vision we have at Calvary Rosarito! Sometimes when you see and hear about these trips you may be curious, who pays for it? We do! (we get to!) The book of Acts gives us a model of raising funds from our local church and supporters to bless others when we go on mission trips to visit our church plants.
Look how Paul the Apostle mentions this to the Corinthians:
“...when I was present with you, and in need, I was a burden to no one, for what I lacked the brethren who came from Macedonia supplied. And in everything I kept myself from being burdensome to you...” - 2 Corinthians 11:9
The Apostle Paul did not expect payment from the churches he planted and we love his example! We want to be a blessing! It is a privilege to financially support Camino Viviente Morelia and all the other 46+ first generation church plants that have been birthed from Calvary Rosarito!
Below are a couple pictures from the women’s retreat in Michoacan

Women of Worth and Purpose / Mujeres de Valor y Propósito
Every Thursday evening, around 60 ladies show up in person and another 20 online to study the Bible verse by Verse. Each lady in the photo is a table leader (including Poiema!). https://www.youtube.com/@MujeresdeValoryProp%C3%B3sitobiling
The Facebook page is private. Email Claudia if you would like to join!

When you look at a photo like this, do you wonder who theses ladies are? These are the precious leaders that get to love the women and youth who sit at their tables! Ladies show up to the study heavy laden with painful pasts or are going through painful circumstances. Imagine being welcomed by these smiling, loving faces and discovering the words of Jesus are true
“Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.”
Matthew 11:28
Thursday Men’s Discipleship

I have the privilege of teaching a great group of guys every Thursday night. I just recently started leading music & worship for them! This photo represents the many souls God is transforming and restoring! Can you look at this group and guess who was incarcerated, deported, or addicted to drugs? Can you tell who is homeless? Can you pick out the doctor? The answer is: YOU CAN’T!
While that may sound intense, all of us are looking to better know Jesus Christ personally through studying the Bible verse by verse. And ALL ARE WELCOME!
I am reminded of Paul the Apostle’s words to the Corinthians:
“And such were some of you. But you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of our God.” - 1 Corinthians 6:11

My friends Victor and Ulises have been mountain biking with me on Thursdays. Victor is a great mechanic and is also one of our New Believers class teachers. Ulises is a new friend I met where I live. Pray for him to come to know the the Lord Jesus!
Training and equipping the saints!
This year I was encouraged to do more training for Biblical Counseling. Do you love giving people advice? People suffer and struggle through the trials and blows of life. They gravitate towards those with whom they have “confianza”, or people they trust! So we are trying to reach the many people who already informally counsel people in the church. This year we will host 4 Saturday training sessions for biblical counseling and discipleship and 2 conferences. We hosted our first conference on March 24th, and our 2nd Saturday training on April 18th! At our most recent training, my lovely bride Claudia and one of our counselors, Sara, enacted a mock counseling session. We had 30+ people attend including a big group who travelled all the way from Calvary Horizonte in Ensenada!

Poeima, fruitful leader

Your friend Poiema is now a table leader and translator for the bilingual women’s study MDVP (Women of Worth and Purpose)! She also organized a fun gathering of young women at a local restaurant (Premier Kfe) wher they did beautiful therapeutic painting…but mostly talked for hours… I have been amazed watching so many girls and young adults follow her! I finally said, “Poi, I think you have the gift of leadership!” She laughed and said, “Popi, you just figured that out?”
A welcomed vacation
After the Counseling conference, we rented a cabin in Big Bear and I invited a young family from church (Pastor Oliver and Rosa and their two children). Even though it was much colder than what we’re used to (2⁰ C - mid 30’s), it was worth it. We don’t have mountains and pine trees in Tijuana! We celebrated by going to an escape room and went on an incredible hike!

Praise reports:
-God is allowing many more people to become better equipped and compentent to counsel and disciple folks!
-My men’s discipleship group has developed 2 new leaders Jorge and Vicente!
-God is raising up Poiema to be a fruitful women’s leader!
-Biblcial Counseling ministry has helped many, many men, women and couples! And we’re more organized than ever!
Prayer requests:
-For our small group and not so small group Bible studies! That God continues to disciple and train folks!
-God’s abundant provision financially to purchase our church building and property so that we can leave a Legacy!
-Our children - to continue to walk with the Lord Jesus Christ and continue to be spiritually fruitful Christians!
-Continuing to make our relationship and marriage a priority!
