This year, our country has received average monsoon rains since the start of the season on June 1. Average monsoon rains are usually good for the farmers but the uneven distribution this year has created new worries. 

God is so faithful to us! He provides for our needs and protects us under His mighty wings. We were physically ill this past month. We appreciate your valuable prayers and financial support. We remember you and your family in our daily thoughts and prayers. May the good God bless you with all resources and good health.

We had blessed potluck gathering together with the CBI students and prayed for the situation in a certain state of our country. (For many months, this state has been under massive violence between a largely Hindu people group and a predominantly Christian people group. Because of that, many homes and churches belonging to the Christian people group have been burnt.)

There is a family from a different area that is very passionate about ministry. We used to meet frequently and share with each other about what was happening in our ministries. Recently, he gave me a surprise visit. It was immense joy to meet him after 7 years!

A friend of mine gave me an opportunity to teach some indigenous pastors about the “great Commission of Jesus” and motivate them to reach out to the community with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I am happy that I could contribute some in their lives. 

In our church we celebrated “Teacher’s Day”. It is good to remember the teachers’ contributions to individuals. Also, by God’s grace our Sunday school children are growing in the Lord. Every Sunday they recite Bible verses from memory in at church. We continued to participate in all the church activities. We also visited some families to testify about the Lord and prayed for them.

Prayer Requests:

• Do continue to pray for the state in our country that is in a state of violence against the Christian people group. May God intervene in the situation.
• Please pray for the family who came to visit me. May God increase their passion for ministry. 
• Please pray for the indigenous pastors who I was able to share with. Pray for their ministry and that God may use them.
• Kindly pray for the growth of our church.
• Please pray that we may get suitable land for our church.
• Kindly pray for me and my family. May the Lord use us for the expansion of His kingdom.

Because of that our state is known as “the rice bowl of our country.” On the other hand, the heavy rain has caused havoc in many places. Many people have lost their lives in floods. Despite all this, God is so faithful to us. He provides for our needs and protects us under His mighty wings. We appreciate your valuable prayers and financial support. On June 3rd, after summer vacation, we reopened our CBI. Four more students have joined us. This semester, I am teaching the Gospel of Mark and translating for Church History class.

I got the privilege to lead the program for a birthday party. It was amazing.

In our local church services, I am still teaching from the Gospel of Matthew. By God’s grace, one of the Sundays we invited a new believer. (He is a colleague of my wife in school). He felt wonderful and blessed. We are hoping that he will join our church in the near future. In addition, we participated in all of our church activities. We also visited some families to testify for the Lord and prayed for them.

Prayer Requests:

• Mr. S* has asked us to pray for his wife to have good health. Also, pray that God may increase his faith.
• Please pray for all of our CBI students. Pray that God may give them wisdom and knowledge to understand the Word.

We are so grateful to the Lord for His promises in the Word; that by faith, we become part of God’s promise!

Last month, we celebrated my wife and my daughter’s birthdays. In both of the celebrations, family and friends came for the fellowship. It is amazing that, God helped them to grow in the Word! And He has kept them healthy.

My daughter participated in VBS for 10 days. It was wonderful to learn God’s Word! By God’s grace, she got a prize for perfect attendance and 2nd place in the Bible quiz competition (right). She was awarded as the Bright Star of the class! There were approximately 350 children in the VBS.

We visited many non-Christian’s families, to build friendships and show them the love of Christ. Many of them have responded well.  

Prayer Requests:

•  Fervently pray that God will work in the hearts of the new families that we visited; that someday they will come to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ!
• The weather is so hot now, a very high 42° (107 degrees Fahrenheit)! It is so hard for people to attend our very hot church building. Kindly pray. Also, pray for the growth and needs of our church.
• Please pray for me and my family; that Lord may use us for the expansion of His kingdom.

We thank God for His mercy and grace. Through His mercy and grace, we can come to Jesus anytime and call Him Abba Father. We have experienced God’s protection and provisions in our daily life. In our family devotions we have been studying from Epistle of II Corinthians. It is so good to know that the Apostle Paul dealt with many issues in the early churches. Similar scenarios are found in today’s church as well. Yet we need to stand strong in the Word and we should be ready to teach whenever we get opportunities.  

Last month, we had good Easter fellowship at our church as well as with our family. However, at the end of the month, we had sad news in our family. One of our uncles went to be with the Lord. He was suffering with cancer.

These days we are arranging our CBI Library. As a family, we are visiting two new Hindu families to encourage them and have friendship.

Our Sunday school children are memorizing Bible verses. Every week they get the opportunity to recite them in church. 

Prayer Requests:

• Kindly pray for God’s comfort in our grieving family, since our uncle passed away.
• Pray for our church’s Sunday school children. May God give them wisdom and knowledge in school.
• Please pray for our state’s Christians to be strengthened in their faith in Jesus. During this difficult time, may God take care His people. At the same time, pray that the fanatical group may come to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.
• Lately the temperature is very high. It is 42° Celsius (107 Fahrenheit). I is very hard to sit in the church. Kindly pray for us. Also pray for the growth and needs of our local church.
• Kindly pray for me and my family. May the Lord use us for the expansion of His kingdom.

God is so faithful to us! He has fulfilled His promise and blessed us with a new house. Thank you so much for all of your prayers!

By God’s grace, our new home is finished! We had a dedication ceremony for it on February 5. I testified of how God has been faithful to us, and how it is amazing to experience His provisions.  

Last month, I was privileged to meet with and encourage a family with whom we used to have fellowship six years ago. I was very happy find that they are growing in the Lord.

In the same month, a government officer visited me, named Mr. V.*. He is a believer. We had a great time encouraging each other and praying together.

This semester, I am teaching the books of Ezra and Nehemiah to the CBI students. Every Saturday, we also take the students for home visitation as part of their practical training.

Prayer Requests:

• Please pray for the Christians in our state to be strengthened in their faith in Jesus. In this difficult time, may God take care of His people. At the same time, pray that the fanatical group may come to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.
• Please pray for Mrs. K. Both of her kidneys are 80% damaged. She has dialysis every other day, and her condition is critical.
• Continue to pray for the growth and needs in our local church.

Last month, we had a wonderful time of fellowship during the conference (above). The theme of the conference was “Church Responsibility.” The teaching was absolutely mind-boggling, but at the same time it was very sad to realize that the Church has failed to do its responsibility. Thank God that I got the privilege to share about the ministry and prayer requests on behalf of pastor 15 and his wife at the conference (above). My wife and daughter (right) want to say, “Thank you for the lovely gift hamper.” Also, my daughter got the opportunity to recite memory verses in church.

• I met with a friend who I had not seen for 15 years at the conference (right). I was very sad to find out that both of his kidneys are not functioning. He is now surviving by getting dialysis twice a week. Please pray for a healing touch on his body.

• Please pray for my wife’s uncle (right). He getting cancer treatment.
• Continue to pray for the growth and needs of our local church.

Dear Friends,

Greetings to you all in the matchless name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!

“I will destroy the wisdom of the wise; the intelligence of the intelligent I will frustrate.” (1 Corinthians 1:19)

Many times, we fall because we trust in our own wisdom and our own ideas. But we should remember this all becomes nothing without God. We need to have complete trust in the Lord. In the same way, I have had many shortcomings, but we thank God that He reminds us through His Word and helps us to move forward. At the same time, we acknowledge that our ministry partners are sacrificially praying and supporting our ministry. We uphold each one of you in our daily prayers and thoughts. Once again, I thank everyone for your partnership in the ministry.

In the state we live in, Christians are going through massive persecution. Hindu fanatic groups are threatening to force them to denounce their Christian faith and convert to the Hindu religion. If they refuse to denounce their faith, they threaten that the Christians will have to leave their villages or face dire consequences, even death. Many Christian tribal villagers were gravely assaulted and beaten with bamboo canes, tires, rods, etc. Many people had to be hospitalized with injuries, like a fractured collar bone, fractured wrists, etc. We all are living in fearful situations, but God is helping us to reach out to people in many ways.

In the past month, we were fully engaged with Christmas celebrations. On December 11, we had a wonderful Christmas program (above) with non-Christian children, and it was immensely joyful to involve the children in different activities.

On December 12, 13 and 14, we went Christmas caroling (above), and shared about Jesus by going door-to-door. We got very good responses from the people.

On December 17, as a church we celebrated Christmas on our church premises (above).

On December 22, we celebrated Christmas in the nursing home (above), followed by Christmas Eve and Watch Night services. Eventually, we had the great privilege of sharing the Gospel through Christmas caroling in the nursing home and showing Christ’s love.

Last Month, my wife’s school organized a Christmas program (above) and canteen day. She was a part of the organizing team. For her, it was a good time to teach the students how to interact with people.

Prayer Requests:

• Please pray for the Christians in our state. May their faith be strengthened in Jesus. In this difficult time of persecution, may God take care of His people. At the same time, pray that the fanatical group will come to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.
• So far, we have been living in a rented house. By God’s mercy, one of our relatives gave us a piece of land. We began the construction work, but still have needs to be able to finish the work. Please pray for God to provide all of our needs. 
• Please pray for Sister L; she is 6 months pregnant but not getting any help from her in-law’s family, who she lives with.
• Continue to pray for the growth and needs of our local church.
• Continue to pray for our CBI students and staff to have sound health and for the smooth functioning of our college.
• Kindly pray for me and my family, that the Lord will use us for the expansion of His kingdom.

Last month, my wife took her students to a nursing home. She got the opportunity to share about the love of Jesus there and pray for the residents.

Also, as a Calvary Chapel family, we hosted an awareness program at a government school. It was wonderful time to motivate and encourage the children.

This semester I am teaching book of Ezra and Nehemiah to the CBI students. At the same time, every Saturday, I take the students for home visitation as part of their practical training.

Prayer Requests:

• My sister-in-law has depended on an artificial cardiac pacemaker for 8 years. In January she is going to have an operation to replace her device. Please pray that the operation is successful.
• Please pray for sister Lilly. She is 5 months pregnant, but she is not getting any cooperation/needed support from her in-laws/family. 
• Please pray for our Christmas outreach to be successful.
• Please continue to pray for the completion of our house construction. May God provide all of our needs.

In addition, we thank each one of you for your earnest prayers and financial assistance for the expansion of God’s kingdom. Because of your financial help, we could move forward with the Gospel of Christ Jesus to the unreached. As a family we have been praying for you, for your family, ministry, job and businesses. In our family devotion we have been learning the Bible verse-by-verse and trying to follow the footsteps of Jesus in our daily walk. Our Sunday school children are telling their memory Bible verse in the church.

Last month we began renting a new building for CCBI (left). I am teaching the students and at the same time taking them on home visitation as part of practical training.

I was blessed to attend and become an eye witness of the conference in a nearby country. It was an amazing feeling to travel by flight for the first time in my life. Thank you so much for such arrangements.

My wife wanted to say, “Thank you so much for your lovely gift and for being a channel of blessing for me. I was in need of apron but I never knew that God would provide it in this way. However, God knows my need and provides for me”.
