Reaching Kashmir: New Frontiers, Building Faith

Dear Friends and family,

We send our love and greetings to you all from Pakistan. By God’s grace, we are all doing well. Our oldest son, Joshua, completed high school this year, and God opened a door for him to go to the UK for further study and work. We are thankful for this opportunity, though we are beginning to feel our nest slowly emptying. Our daughter is also hoping to go away for further studies in three years, and then we will have only our youngest at home.

New Frontier: Disputed Areas of Kashmir

Last month, God blessed us with the opportunity to visit a city in the disputed region of Kashmir (this is officially not Pakistan) to explore opportunities for ministry. Although local Christians face restrictions on having a church building, there is a community of believers who need fellowship, encouragement, and biblical teaching. We had a wonderful gathering, and the people have invited us to return more often. We hope to do so as God leads and provides the resources needed. Please pray for the people of this region and ask the Lord to open doors for us to visit and teach His Word regularly.

Our local contact organized a gathering in a government-provided community hall, where we had the joy of sharing God’s Word. Many Christians have moved to this region for work and live in isolation, longing for opportunities to meet other believers, enjoy fellowship, and grow in their faith. Some struggle under the social and religious pressures around them. Our hearts broke as an elderly mother shared the painful story of her daughter, a young nursing graduate who, she said, had been drawn into a group, converted to the majority religion, and left her family. Her story brought home the need for ongoing spiritual care, particularly for the hundreds of young women and men across these 17 districts who need encouragement, discipleship, and a caring Christian community.

Challenged Christian Youth

We continue to walk alongside the younger generation, listening to their spiritual, social, psychological, and emotional struggles and helping them find hope and direction in Christ. We thank God for our dedicated team, who faithfully prepare study materials that address their questions and strengthen their faith. Doors are opening to gather large groups of students in several cities, and their eagerness to learn is deeply encouraging. Yet limited resources often prevent us from responding to these invitations. Behind each invitation are young lives we long to encourage and equip. Please pray that God will provide what is needed and raise up partners to help turn these open doors into opportunities for lasting growth in Christ.

Unfinished Church Building

Our village church building remains unfinished, and we need $15,000 to complete the remaining construction and provide the interior finishes, furnishings, and equipment. Our congregation endured many difficulties during the rainy season, and with winter approaching, gathering for worship in the unfinished building will become even harder. We long to see this church become a safe, welcoming place where families can worship, children can learn God’s Word, and believers can grow together in faith. Would you prayerfully consider helping us complete it? A gift of any size will bring us closer to opening these doors fully to the community. Please pray with us, and as the Lord leads, join us in providing this congregation with a lasting place of worship and fellowship.

A Friend’s Wife Diagnosed with Cancer

A dear friend who faithfully joins us on our desert mission trips is facing a heartbreaking family crisis: his wife has recently been diagnosed with cancer. He serves in a junior position in the police, and his modest income was already stretched to meet the needs of their young children. The cost of treatment is now beyond their means. He has reached out several times for prayer and financial help, but we have sadly been unable to provide the support they need. I promised to share their situation with our friends and ministry family, trusting that God may provide through the kindness of others. Please pray for his wife’s healing, strength for the family, and provision for her treatment. If the Lord places this family on your heart, a gift of any size would help ease their burden and remind them that they are not facing this alone.

Our “Desert Mission Week” is usually in November, we need your prayers for the provision of the needs and expenses of that also. Please continue to pray for us all. We are always grateful to you for all love, care, and support.

God bless you.

In Christ Jesus,

Pastor Nadeem Massey

Prayer Requests

We are in need financial support, our ministry accounts are so low, that it is getting hard for us to manage monthly support for ourselves and our team. Kindly keep this special need in your prayers.

We need to complete our church building in the village. Due to weather severity, we are not able to manage the church meetings properly.

I am seeking God’s guidance to travel to the United States in order to meet the SGWM church and to visit some other churches. Please keep this also in your prayers.

Our ministry among some college and university students need your prayer support also.

God bless you.

In Christ Jesus,

Pastor Nadeem Massey
