The One Who Knocks…
English: Hello family! I hope you are doing well as you read this newsletter. So much is happening here in Rosarito as we seek the Lord. Rather than just write a chronological list of every event that has happened, I think it will be easier to share what God has done in this time based on thematics.
Seeking
Thank you to all of those who have been praying that God would speak to me. He has been speaking to me so much. In my personal time of prayer and devotion I have felt the Lord confirm my call to missions more and more. Yet, interestingly enough, He has not told me anything specific regarding missionary work. As I read the Gospel of Luke, the book of Revelation, and the Psalms, I have felt God place the idea of "seeking" on my heart. He has reminded me that missions is not the goal of my life, Jesus is the goal of my life; and the more I seek Him, the more I burn to share Him.
“And He said to them, “Why is it that you were looking for Me? Did you not know that I had to be in My Father’s house?” - Luke 2:49
"for the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost." - Luke 19:10
Knocking
As I said, God has not given me any specific revelation concerning my particular missionary calling. But I should be clear that I did come down to school with a desire to do missions in Spain (I even went on a vision tour 2 months ago). Although, God has told me to focus on Him rather than what I am to do for Him in the future; He has still given me many opportunities to live out the calling that He has given me and I have no doubt that this experience will help me in the future. I've been evangelizing, knocking on doors, preaching, interpreting, and interceding for people. A particular noteworthy event was going down to Calvary La Mina and blessing a small church with a "church takeover."
Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and will dine with him, and he with Me. - Revelation 3:20
Finding
Something that just blows my mind is how accessible our Holy God is. I remember one early morning at Connections House; I was reading the description of God's throne room in Revelation chapter four. I remember thinking "this would be a scary sight to behold, it's too holy and awesome." Then I remembered that in Hebrews chapter four we are told to boldly approach this "throne of grace." We can approach the throne of a holy God because of the high priest that we have in Jesus. It breaks my heart that there are people out here in Mexico who so desperately need the grace of God but are unable to approach Him because they do not have Jesus as their High Priest. I plead with you to pray for the unsaved people who are in Mexico. Every outreach we do, there are people coming to Christ, but for every one person who is receptive to the gospel, there are groups of people who reject it. Yet, we know that even for the few who do receive the Gospel, there is an angelic party in heaven. We get to be a part of that glory when we pray and seek the lost. Never forget that we are in this together.
I say to you that likewise there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine just persons who need no repentance. - Luke 15:7
Resting
It’s hard to believe that there is still so much to go. I feel like I am drinking from a firehose with all the knowledge I am receiving here. It is hard not being like Martha and worrying about everything there is to do. But God is good and reminds me that the better place is at His feet. To summarize this newsletter, I would say this: Before you try to offer your service God, you must seek Him simply for who He is; as you search for Him, He will search you and change you. Only then will your service be true and holy.

(It might seem like a small thing, but it’s a huge encouragement); My family back home is doing well; Your prayers are being answered in my life!
