40% OF THE WORLD IS STILL UNREACHED

Hi guys, it’s Mia reaching out to give everyone a little update about the past week. It’s been a really impactful couple of days listening and learning from different people, and most recently, a little more about the 10/40 window.

Stretching from the western Sahara to Japan, we call this region the 10/40 window. This is an area of the world where there is little to no access to the gospel for the people living in these areas.

While living in America, it is very easy to forget about the daily struggles of people living in these countries. There are lives filled with war, famines, corruption, and just constant fear.

This past week, we have been blessed to hear from missionaries living in the Middle East and South Asia. As I sat and listened to some of their stories, I realized how easy we have it. While I struggle to wake up in the morning for Sunday service, others struggle to even tell their family about their faith for fear of being disowned or even “honor killed.”

One of the pastors in India told us about how, during one of their Sunday services, just a city over, a church was being bombed, and Indian Christians were being slaughtered for simply believing in Christ. I sat and listened to all these stories from different Christians living in these areas, and through it all, every single believer had such a huge smile and a peace over their lives because, as believers, they know what to expect next.

Outside of the classroom, we have been going on more outreaches to different parks, doing skits and games for local kids.

We have also been doing a lot of book reading, and we recently finished the book Radical by David Platt. It was a very convicting book highlighting the privilege we have in the Western world, yet the church is asleep. I’d highly recommend this book if you were curious about the state of the American church vs the state of the Eastern churches.

If you’d like to help support this journey, it would be such a blessing to receive emails of support and prayers for me to be bold in sharing the gospel. I do still need to raise $1075 in tuition out of $2700, and if you feel led to give, and come alongside me and partner with me in this calling, there is a giving link below. As you partner with me, we together can see many come to Jesus as I GO and you send me! Thank you so much.

God bless - Mia M.
