“The Good Part”
December 2025 — January 2026
Psalm 42 shares an idea in verses 5 and 11 that we see again at the end of Psalm 43 in v.5:

“Why are you cast down, O my soul? And why are you disquieted within me? Hope in
God; For I shall yet praise Him, The help of my countenance and my God.”
—(PSALM 43:5, NKJV)
At times we can experience really discouraging moments, but the Lord desires to remind us to set our eyes upon Him and receive His strength. So much is going on in the world and it reminds me constantly that our King is coming! He is our hope, and nothing will stop Him! The stresses and discouragements of this life will seek to steal our attention, and stop us in our tracks but we must keep our hearts and minds set on Jesus. Let’s continue to live life on mission — to be His, to make disciples, and to take the Gospel to the nations. Time is short, let’s use it for the glory of His name!
December
We’re married! The wedding was a sweet time to be with some family from back home, and friends and family of Renata. Thank you so much for all of your prayers and congratulations! God is so good and I’m so thankful for all He’s done and is doing. After the wedding we got to spend about a week seeing sights and spending time with my dad, aunt, cousin and his wife here in Rio. I even got to teach their last day in town at Renata’s home church! We’ve had some opportunities to do some local trips and do things around the city while changing all of Renata’s documentation and researching and getting ready for her tourist visa interview!
The Big Day

January

Thank you for your prayers! Renata was able to change her name and get her new government ID and received her new passport early January. Since then we’ve researched and gotten documentation ready for her interview at the US embassy. It’s been a very new and somewhat confusing and challenging process to figure out some of the details, but with the Lord’s help, I think we’ve got it. If you think to keep using your prayers, her interview is Feb. 9th! Then we should know if she’s got her visa or not. Lord willing the processing time should be quick. She’s already got her first interview done, and now we’re waiting for Monday morning! In the in between I had the opportunity to teach the first two Sunday’s of the year at Calvary Rio. We went through Luke 10:25-42. The first week focused on the parable of the Good Samaritan and our call to love the Lord with all we are, and our neighbor’s as ourselves, and the following week with Mary choosing the “one thing (that) is needed…” (v.42). The blessing in it all was teaching in Spanish with Renata translating me into Portuguese. It was a blessing to serve alongside my bride in that way and I look forward to future opportunities to do the same.
As our time here in Brazil is coming to an end we are trying to get all of the last minute things wrapped up—doctors visits, selling Renata and her mom’s car, and getting all of her documentation ready for Perú and Argentina. We hope to be in Perú by the end of this month where we’ll continue to help and support the leadership in Calvary Trujillo with this semester, then Lord willing we’ll be able to visit the US for a couple of months before heading to Argentina to help things advance for the CBI the ministry is starting there.

Needs and Prayer Requests
Praise the Lord He has been providing for our needs and opening doors for us. Thank you so much for your prayers and support—financially and otherwise. To give you an idea of what’s next and how you can be praying and getting involved, here it is:
-Doctor’s visits
-Visa Interview for Renata (Feb. 9th — 5:15AM CA time)
-Buying plane tickets to Perú
-Finding a good spot close to the school to rent for our time there
-Pastor’s and Leader’s conference in Argentina (March)
-Mission’s trips for students (CBI Perú)
-Buying plane tickets to and from US
-Continued wisdom and evangelism opportunities
-Continued growth in Spanish and Portuguese (English for Renata)
-Wisdom and provision for everything needed for both of us as we go into other countries for longer periods of time
-A solid team for the work in Argentina
-Continued growth in discipleship and taking every opportunity for it and evangelism
Thank you so much for all of your prayers and support. With so many new things going on, and different unknowns, things can be stressful and even discouraging, but the Lord is good and we trust Him to fulfill His will for our lives and opening doors and close doors to get us right where He wants us. Thank you for partnering with us in taking the Gospel to the nations!
Muito amor,
The Voisin’s
