“Reconciled”
June/July 2026
“16 Therefore, from now on, we regard no one according to the flesh. Even though we have known Christ according to the flesh, yet now we know Him thus no longer. 17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. 18 Now all things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation, 19 that is, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them, and has committed to us the word of reconciliation.
20 Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us: we implore you on Christ’s behalf, be reconciled to God. 21 [For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.]”

As I was praying about what the Lord might have me share on while being stateside and visiting churches, I felt strongly, that He put 2 Cor. 5:14 on my heart, “For the love of Christ compels us.” As I began to search and study, it became clear why He was leading in that direction. Paul, through chapters 1-5, seems to be setting up for this statement he’s making in verses 17-21 of chapter 5. He spends a lot of time talking about affliction received as the believer, and that Christ is the One who gives consolation and salvation to us. He focuses heavily on the mercy that he and his colleagues (and all we who believe) received from Jesus by His just payment at the cross for our sin, and not until after verse 21 of chapter 5 does he begin to speak about grace. In verses 9-11, he speaks about their (Paul and those with him) ultimate desire to be “well pleasing” to the Lord (and all in light of the mercy they had received). Because they had received mercy, and knowing the terror of God’s wrath that could come upon men, they wanted to persuade others to come to Christ! In verses 12-15 we see that Paul makes it clear that their motive and drive behind all they did is the love of Jesus! Then he closes this section with the reality that God reconciled us to Himself through Jesus and His finished work on the cross, and now He desires to use us to reconcile this dark and dying world to Himself! We’ve been made new and given a new ministry—thank you Jesus! This has been such a needed reminder and word for my own life as there is so much to do in the ministry. It doesn’t matter how much work there is to do, I cannot allow myself to have any motive other than Jesus’ love being my motive and the thing which drives me to give all for Him! The only thing that can equip me sufficiently for His work is being completely surrendered to His love.
June
June 3rd, we took a flight from Lima to arrive here in the US. It was a long leg as we bussed overnight from Trujillo to Lima (June 1st). Then we passed the better part of the day in Lima where we flew to Miami at 12:45am on the 3rd. After that, praise the Lord, we were able to be put on a direct flight to go from Miami to San Francisco. Since we’ve arrived, it’s been a busy, difficult, but also extremely blessed time here in the US. The Lord cares for the littlest of our needs, and I’m so thankful to have a part in what He’s called us to do regarding His ministry of reconciliation.
Emergency Scare
Just a few days after arriving, we had a scare with Renata and the baby and went into the ER. We found out between the time she had been checked out on June 1st to when we arrived in the States, we found that she had developed a sub chorionic hemorrhage. It’s something that can be common during pregnancy, but also potentially harmful to the baby. Praise the Lord, it seems to have passed and she’s feeling much better. The baby appears to be healthy, and she is now nearing the end of her first trimester.
Dad’s Wedding
Our time in June has given us some great opportunities to show Renata around the US. We’ve been able to go to some of my favorite places close by and see some new areas as we went to my dad’s wedding in Redding. We also went to Calvary Clearlake to share about the ministry and all the Lord has been doing in South America, as well as about where things are heading now. It’s been a blessing to welcome new family and at the same time, have a bit of a small family reunion where we could celebrate with my dad and introduce Renata to everyone as well.
Sharing at Some Local Calvary Chapels
Praise the Lord I got the opportunity to share at a couple of different Calvary Chapel’s just in the month of June. After my dad’s wedding, we drove down to Clearlake from the Redding area. We got to stay with a close friend’s family for a few days. It was such a blessing to see the staff there and meet so many new people as this was my 3rd time getting to go up and visit, but my first time sharing as a missionary there. Please pray for Calvary Clearlake, that the Lord would continue to give wisdom and discernment to those leading the church and that the Lord will draw all of that city and the nearby areas to Himself!
The following Sunday, we had the opportunity to go up and share about CBI Argentina at the Calvary in Fort Bragg! It was my first time, and it was a huge blessing. It has such an incredible view of the Northern California coast, and it was so cool to see a Calvary that I’ve heard so much about. I’m thankful I was able to share about all the Lord has been doing, and what He’s been preparing us to go and do in Argentina.

This month we had the blessing to go up to Calvary Willits and I got the opportunity to share about all the Lord is doing. It was my 3rd time getting to go and share as a missionary and was so blessed to see so many who have been faithfully praying for me from the start of my going out to Peru. Please pray for them as a church and that in the same way, they too would continue to be that city set on a hill. That the Lord would encourage and use them to be an encouragement and to be the salt and light to draw their area to the Lord!
Just this past Sunday, July 12th, we got to do our stateside reception and share about CBI Argentina at my home church (Calvary the Rock) and we were beyond blessed. They pulled out all the stops and gave us a wedding reception themed missions night! It was amazing because it really felt like a wedding reception and we were so blessed. Every church we’ve visited has poured out the love of Jesus on us, and we were blessed to see so many who came to our mission’s night that were not, or would not have been able to, come for the wedding in Rio. It was a really fun way to get to introduce them to my bride, and share about how the Lord brought us together, but also to share about how He’s led us to go and work in Argentina and what we will be doing while we’re there.

Thank you so much for all your love, care, and support for my bride, our baby, and myself. The Lord is so good, and throughout the trials, difficulty, and beauty of being in missions, He’s put an amazing part of His Body around us to support and encourage us through it all; thank you! Jesus has made us new and brought us into His ministry of reconciliation, and we want to be faithful in that work and encourage others to do the same. Thank you for your prayers, thank you for giving your own resources, and thank you for loving us from afar. I pray the Lord gives us the opportunity to see you soon.

The preparation of our 4 students who are coming to study and work with us this semester
The Lord’s anointing on the classes to prepare the students for the work of the ministry
Working hand in hand with the local Calvary’s
Remembering all the things that might try to slip our attention in the midst of the busyness of it all
That being a disciple and follower of Jesus would be our greatest personal priority and that it would be manifest in our love for others and the way we disciple those Jesus placing in our care as the staff of CBI Argentina
That lives would be changed!!
