“Planned Insufficiency”
February/March 2026

“6 Therefore be very courageous to keep and to do all that is written in the Book of the Law of Moses, lest you turn aside from it to the right hand or to the left, 7 and lest you go among these nations, these who remain among you. You shall not make mention of the name of their gods, nor cause anyone to swear by them; you shall not serve them nor bow down to them, 8 but you shall hold fast to the LORD your God, as you have done to this day. 9 For the LORD has driven out from before you great and strong nations; but as for you, no one has been able to stand against you to this day. 10 One man of you shall chase a thousand, for the LORD your God is He who fights for you, as He promised you. 11 Therefore take careful heed to yourselves, that you love the LORD your God.”
-Josh. 23:6-11, NKJV
The Lord has absolutely been speaking and preparing me for something that is outside of my own strength. This last season: from last semester, through my time in Brazil, and now awaiting to go and help start up the new CBI campus in Argentina. Any feeling of insufficiency I’ve ever felt has absolutely multiplied in this last season. In the midst of it all He’s had me looking at the life of David, and even more so the life of Joshua. Joshua was tasked with such a unique call and purpose. He was to take the mantle from Moses and finish the work of bringing the people of God to their God-given place in Canaan. All of their enemies were yet to be expelled, and at the start of his ministry the Lord called him to be courageous. In Josh. 1:1-9 the Lord gives Joshua his task and calls him to be courageous. As I’ve come to understand it, courage is acting on what’s right despite any fear that may take hold of you, and in this context, for Joshua to act and do what’s right in the sight of his God and King. In Josh. 8, after the sin of Achan where he took of the accursed things during the destruction of Jericho, and afterward the correction and restoration of Israel to right standing with the Lord, the Lord tells Joshua, “Do not be afraid, nor be dismayed…” (v.1). After their failure, the Lord encouraged him and told him not to fear. As I shared above, as Joshua’s life is coming to an end and his call and purpose in this world is coming to a close, we see that Joshua commands the people of Israel to be courageous to keep and do all that is written in the Law of Moses. What a picture for us today. What a picture it’s been for me. What the Lord calls us to are things that we are insufficient to complete. I can’t, but He can. I’m weak, but He is strong. I lack, but He is never lacking. How often am I afraid to enter in to all that He has for me. We must have courage to do the thing that we could never do without Him. He hasn’t called us to do things that we, in and of ourselves are capable of. We must rely upon Him to be our strength. Jesus desires to be my strength, and yours. Will I let Him? Will you let Him? Will I go where He’s called me to go? Will you? He’s made a plan for me despite my insufficiency, and it’s part of that especially that I would know my insufficiency, and that He would fill every lack of mine with all that He is. I say yes! I say yes to all He has for me! We can be courageous because He lives, and because He loves us! I choose courage! I pray that in my weakness, God would show Himself strong (2 Cor. 12:9).

February
February was a whirlwind. We were confronted with a lot of challenges wrapping up our time in Brazil, but the Lord met us in every one of them. As for Renata’s Visa appointment, it went amazingly and she was approved. All of the prep we did, all of the evidences, and things we brought led to what was probably 15 minutes between her and the consular officer and she was approved. The Lord provided, thank you for your prayers! The semester started Feb. 11 here in Peru and because my time was running out in Brazil I needed to come back (Feb. 20th) about a week before Renata as she was waiting on documentation and some other things before meeting me here March 3rd. It’s incredible how a month has already passed since I’ve been here--it feels so much longer. I’ve been able to jump back in and help organize and lead the construction here under one of our elders, I’m also leading the students' service hours, and evangelism as well. Renata has been working really hard helping cook meals for all our students and staff 5 days a week as well as helping lead the students in their time serving on campus 3 afternoons a week. I’m so blessed that I get to serve and work hand in hand with my wife! God is so good!

March
This month is coming to a close, but it’s been such a blessing. I was blessed to be able to have the opportunity to go to Mendoza, Argentina with one of our (soon to be) graduates who will be helping me lead the new CBI campus in Argentina under pastor Cory. It was an incredible week! We arrived Tuesday, Mar. 16th, and left on the 22nd. Our task was to go and get eyes on everything that would be needed for the property and to get it ready for our first partial semester (this fall--invite only) and for open enrollment next year. It’s about 5 acres of property in the heart of wine country in Mendoza, Argentina where the institute, being directed by pastor Cory, will be partnering with pastor Carlos from the Calvary close to the campus there called La Vid--Maipu. There are 3 main buildings on the property, not including a small house near the front of the property where two of our missionaries (from Calvary Trujillo) live with their family. As these buildings are right now they will function as our dorms, kitchen, and classroom for the institute. There are at least 50-70 fully mature Olive trees on site and are gorgeous (they just need some TLC) alongside several other types of cyprus, pine/fir, poplar, and other varieties. During our time there we were able to have a meeting with all of the pastors from Argentina and those attending the conference to share the heart and vision for CBI Argentina. This work has been a huge labor of prayer and petition on the hearts of so many for so long--God is good! The conference went from Friday-Sunday ending with a service Sunday morning on site at CBI Argentina where pastor Cory was asked to teach and share the vision of CBI in Argentina. So many were encouraged and blessed. One of our future church planters was prayed over by all the pastors, and the hearts of so many there are ready to see Argentina, all of South America, and this earth on fire for Jesus living out the Great Commission. Our hope, Lord willing, is that we will start our first semester this October. In June, Renata and I will be heading to the US, and at the same time, Josue (the campus administrator) will be going out to get a jump start on the work there on campus. After returning to Peru (planned to land in Lima Aug. 1), the plan and hope is to be able to pack up what we need to and move everything to Mendoza, Argentina to begin getting the campus ready for a small semester in October with a small group of hand-picked individuals to learn from the Word of God and help us prepare the property. There is so much work to be done as the property was left abandoned for some time, and overtime people have snuck onto the property and stolen things off of the buildings. Right now we have posts with lights that stay on during the night to help keep away unwanted guests, but there is a great need for construction teams that could come and help secure the property. To do construction and help ready the buildings for our first official semester. There’s mowing, pulling weeds, framing, electric, plumbing, wall-raising, and so much more. This work has been years in the making and will take years to complete. The Lord has opened an amazing door and we’re ready to go.

Commissioned
The man in the middle with his wife are two local Mendocinos who came to study in our program in Trujillo and in the near future will be going out to plant a new church in the state of Buenos Aires in Argentina.
How to Get Involved
We would love to invite you to come and be a part of this work that the Lord is doing in Argentina. There is so much to be done, from construction, to yardwork, to cooking, to cleaning, and more. Would you consider coming out to help? Maybe your church would like to get a team together--please let me know!
Prayer Requests:
-We need the Lord’s provision to get this place ready.
-My wife and I need the Lord’s provision to be able to go and live and work.
--Start up costs (flights, residency costs, transportation, furnishing a place to live, rent).
--The Lord’s strength and anointing over us in the task He’s called us to.
-We need vision, wisdom, and unity in the Lord to see this work completed as a staff and a team.
-Hearts to run hard after the Lord in all that He has for us--that He would be our strength, our everything.
-We currently have a team that will be helping us in this work, but where the Lord would lead, we want whoever the Lord would have to come and help us.
-All of the students who will come and study with us there.
-All of the teachers who will come and teach our students there.
-Missions teams to come and help in the work.
-A van or other vehicles to help in transporting the students, staff, and teams to necessary events at the church and in town.
-To stand firm in the Lord as our strength against every attack of the enemy.
*That we would stay true to Jesus in our call to help fulfill the Great Commission and train up the next generation of servants of the Lord who will go and take the Gospel to the nations… in Argentina, South America, and to the ends of the earth.
I pray this update finds you well. Thank you so much for all of your love and support. Thank you for tagging along with us, and lifting us up in prayer that we might walk in His will, and live for His glory. Please let us know how you’re doing and if there’s anything we can be praying for you for.
Dios los bendiga, mucho amor de Peru,
-Familia Voisin
