A Whale of a Skit

Greetings friends!

Sunday Afternoon marked 1 week of being in Mexico with an incredible team of like minded brothers and sisters. Your prayers have been felt and I appreciate you all deeply!

This week has been full of classes and sweet fellowship. There have been nights of worship and prayer for the nations as we wait on the Lord to hear from Him. We have also had the opportunity to do some local outreaches which have been eye opening in regards to the spiritual climate here in Mexico. One outreach took place at a dump where many people lived and built houses within the trash. Their options to get out were to work within the dump and take their payment in the form of either money, drugs, or alcohol. Many of these people would choose the drugs or alcohol, thus ensuring they would never leave. We did a small church service with the people who showed up and a handful of people prayed to receive Christ. A local pastor named Eddie has been running the ministry there and makes sure to disciple those who are trying to get out of those conditions and who want to follow Christ.

Another outreach that took place was a local park outreach. We went to a popular park and invited people to join us for some fun games, kids activities, testimonies, and a teaching. An ice cream vendor named Silvano came by and when we went to talk to him we found out he was saved and had an incredible testimony. He ended up encouraging us with what God had done in his life which was an unexpected blessing. Me and 3 others did a skit for the kids about Jonah and the whale which went swimmingly. People were attentive and open, and we even had some people come to church of which one man received Christ!

As the week ended, we spent our Sunday at Calvary Chapel Rosarito where we were able to serve alongside the workers there. God is doing an amazing work here and it was a sweet time of fellowship with our dear brothers and sisters within the church.

This week has been action packed in the best way possible and I am excited for what these next weeks hold. Your continued prayers are much appreciated, and I am looking forward to sharing more as the weeks progress!

In Christ,

John Mark
