February 2009 update

This month has been an extremely busy month! God is good,!! Here’s a little of what’s been going on south of the border

The teacher trainings at CC Tijuana and Pedregales are a great blessing every month.  Many children are coming to church, and they are really growing in the Lord. We are also preparing for our annual teacher’s conference that will be in May, Lord willing, with Pastor Stef Mitrano and others from Calvary Chapel South Bay.

I was honored to speak at a purity seminar at Calvary Chapel in Mexicali February 6th and 7th.  There were approximately 50 young girls, many of whom were not Christians.  The theme was “Amor Eterno”, (Eternal love).  The Lord touched the hearts of many of these girls, and we know that the words spoken will produce fruit for eternity. At the end of the seminar, almost all of the girls came forward to accept Jesus into their heart or recommit their lives.  So many wanted to be “washed by the blood of Jesus” and made pure again.  It was an awesome and powerful time!

I was able to visit my mom in Orange County and help her celebrate her birthday on Feb. 9th.  We had a surprise party for her, and it was a great blessing to spend time with my mom. I pray for the Lord’s continued blessing on her life as she serves Him.

The highlight of this month was the annual Prophecy Conference at CC Chino Hills. It was on Feb. 21st and 22nd.  What an awesome two days. We are truly in the last days, as the speakers so eloquently shared. I was able to visit with my brother and sister-in-law as well, which was extra nice. It was my first time, and I plan to attend every year, (if the Lord doesn’t come back)!!!

I was also invited to a dance performance with “Ballet Magnificat” in San Diego
Feb. 26th. The show was called, “Deliver us.”  It was the story of the Israelites journey out of Egypt and into the promised land. I took Rosemary and Christina, my homeschool students, and it was perfect, as we are studying the very same thing in Bible class. Esther Choi is a dear friend who was in that performance and has come here to teach dance to our kids.

I was blessed with a new puppy this month. His name is Davie. He is a Chihuahua mixed with something else! He is a lot of work, but a real joy to my life.  I thank God for sending him to me, and he really was meant to be for me, as I had dibs on him, and then he was accidentally given away to another person.  They gave him back, so I got him after all!
I cherish all of your prayers for us here and love you all very much!

I praise my Lord for all the many blessings He showers down on me.

“Praise the Lord, Oh my soul.  I will praise the Lord all my life; I will sing praise to my God as long as I live.”  Psalm 146:1-2
