To start off this newsletter, I wanted to remind you that we will be back in the States this fall. The graphic above shows the dates that we are in each location. If you would like to connect with us while we’re back, please reach out and let us know so that we can get in on the schedule.
We continue to build relationships with those that live near us here in Osaka. Each week has brought new opportunities, including spending time with our ill neighbors, being involved in various hobby groups, and even helping a woman from church plant her sweet potato field.
Abide is doing well. We have seen a couple of Japanese people accept Christ this month, and we had a baptism. Also, the amount of visitors from around the world this spring has been truly remarkable.
The church has also been growing through expanding families. The birth rates in Japan are low, so it’s wonderful to have growing families here at Abide. Please pray for the parents in our church, it is a difficult task raising Christian kids in Japan.
Our midweek services have continued to be successful, as has our young adult bible study that meets at our house. This month also saw the return of the college campus ministry that we are blessed to be a part of. It is amazing to see those ministries continue to grow by God’s grace.
