July Update

Dear Friends, Family, and Supporters,
I pray this update finds you well and encouraged in the Lord.
As I shared in my April newsletter, I was preparing to travel on a vision tour to Almería, Spain, and the island of Mallorca to seek the Lord’s heart for these areas and to learn more about future church-planting efforts. Now that we are nearing the end of May, I wanted to share some of what the Lord has shown me.
One ministry that deeply touched my heart was a work dedicated to helping young women who have been trapped in prostitution and sex trafficking. We met a young woman and her fiancé who have devoted their lives to rescuing and ministering to girls coming from Nigeria and other parts of the world who find themselves caught in these terrible circumstances in Majorca.
Majorca is a beautiful island, but beneath the beauty there is great spiritual darkness. We learned that many children are exposed to occult and demonic influences from a very young age through cultural celebrations and traditions. As I listened and observed, I was reminded of the account in the book of Daniel, where spiritual forces opposed God’s messenger from bringing an answer to Daniel’s prayers.
It was heartbreaking to learn that this couple has only a handful of people serving alongside them in such a difficult ministry. Yet, despite the challenges, they are seeing fruit. God is at work.
The darkness in our world seeks to destroy lives with great precision—especially the lives of young women, young men, and children. But the light of Christ continues to shine. One brick at a time, God is building a foundation through faithful servants who are teaching children about Jesus and sharing His love.
As beautiful and prosperous as parts of this island may appear, my focus is not on the scenery. My heart is drawn to the people who do not yet know my Lord and Savior. Please pray that God would send more workers into this harvest field.
We are currently in Jordan for several days. It is breathtaking to visit places that hold such significance in biblical history and to witness the work God is doing here. To Him be all the glory.
I ask you to join me in praying that God would continue to raise up men and women who are willing to serve Him—whether through prayer, financial support, encouragement, or by going themselves. The harvest is plentiful, and the need is great.
Thank you for your prayers for protection and safety as we travel. It is not always easy to go into unfamiliar places where we know very little about what awaits us. Yet we go with our eyes open, asking the Lord to show us His heart for these people and these regions.
My prayer is that God would help me see people as He sees them—to feel their burdens, understand their needs, and share with them the truth of Jesus Christ and His gift of salvation. So many people are searching for fulfillment and purpose apart from God, yet they continue to come up empty. Can you imagine a world without the hope of Jesus?
This is why I am here.
I believe the Lord has equipped me, prepared me, and called me to be His hands and feet. Even in these later years of my life, I want to respond with a willing heart and say, “Yes, Lord, I will go.”
How will they hear if no one tells them?
As many of you know, I have worked hard throughout my life, raised five wonderful children, and now enjoy the blessing of fourteen grandchildren. Asking for support does not come naturally to me. But I know that missions is a partnership. Your prayers, encouragement, and support make it possible for me to serve where God has called me.
Thank you for standing with me. Thank you for praying. And thank you for being part of what God is doing among the nations.
