On the Ground

Hey friends and family,

Happy Fall! We are so excited to show you what we have been up to over these past couple of months. We have been growing so much in videography and have also just launched a new documentary series called, "On the Ground." If you haven't seen our first video yet, go check it out through the link below! Each video is meant to highlight a different SGWM missionary, sharing what their life is like and what the Lord is doing through them and their ministries abroad. As each video will be filmed in a mini-documentary style, we hope to better connect missionaries and their senders through a more raw but beautifully captured way. Our heart for all our videos is to be able to help bridge the church and their missionaries together as one body serving the Lord. To inspire more prayer and support of one another though we are separated in location. So please enjoy the first video below about the Boubion family serving in Rosarito, Mexico!

In other news, as I (Geoff) am writing this, I am excited to have the opportunity to go to South Asia soon! I'll be traveling with one of my pastors to create another episode of "On the Ground" and will be able to capture some other content to share what SGWM is doing overseas. Please be praying for me as I will be leaving October 11th-28th and as I wish I could bring my wife to help me, especially with the interview element of the videos. I pray the Lord empowers me to capture all the footage, interviews, and possibly photos that He has for me to take. Please also pray for our safety and the safety of those we are visiting, and wisdom for discretion as I film.

Lydia has been growing in her office duties and also in her supportive role as we have teamed up to create videos for SGWM. She has been such an amazing help to write outlines and brainstorm themes to create meaningful videos. And during a shoot when she is there to handle communication or interviews with the talent, it frees me up to focus on setting up the camera equipment and making sure everything’s running properly as we film.

As always, thank you so much for reading our newsletters and supporting us as seek to serve the Lord in each opportunity He guides us in. Please partner with us in prayer this week through the prayer requests we have listed below. We are so grateful for your love and care in this way.

Prayer Requests:

For Geoff’s trip to South Asia; spiritual warfare, safety, wisdom, and ability to set up and capture the right footage abroad.

For peace and trust in the Lord.

For our marriage.

Praise Reports:

God has provided Geoff with several jobs the past month which will make up for the time that he is away in South Asia.

We are growing together as a team in our new video ministry.

If you are interested in supporting our video ministry financially, please do so through the means provided below. As we work to capture the stories of our missionaries abroad, we do have to raise the funds for our equipment and travel expenses so any financial gift would be such a blessing to us!

Sincerely,

Geoff & Lydia Hamano
