The Lord Who Builds His Church

Adam Fulmizi 2021 CSOM Student Update 1
The 2021 School of Missions team being prayed over Sunday morning at Calvary Chapel Saving Grace.

Brothers and sisters in the Lord, thank you for all of your prayers and support in the gospel! The above picture was taken at Calvary Chapel Saving Grace, Sunday morning, the day we left for Mexico. It was such a blessing to be prayed over at both services and sent out with joy and love. We safely arrived and have been diving in and preparing for all the Lord is going to do this next six weeks.

“And I tell you, you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.”

Matthew 16:18

The past couple days we’ve been starting with foundational ideas laid out in God’s word. It is so refreshing to open our arms to the Lord, lay down any preconceived notions, and simply read the firmly fixed word of the everlasting God. We talked about Jesus speaking to Peter in the verse quoted above. Read it again. Take note of who builds the church. Take note of who’s church it is. Praise the Lord that the building of the church and the furtherance of the gospel is from His strength and not ours! Let’s continue in surrender to Him as he works with us to grow His church.

Upcoming outreaches and support update

There will be multiple outreaches this week, which we will spend time preparing for as a team. Please pray for creative ideas and that we would stay faithful to God’s word and gospel in all that we do! I praise God for your heart to see the furtherance of His kingdom during these outreaches. I am currently at 25% of the financial goal to help the gospel go forth here in Mexico. As you pray, please consider partnering with what the Lord will do in these outreaches and in the weeks to come.

Prayer Requests

  • For the upcoming outreaches this week (on Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday)
    • Creative ideas and faithful preparation
    • That the lost would hear the gospel, be saved, and get connected to a church
    • Protection from demonic influences
  • For staff and missionaries teaching us
  • For myself and the other students to be surrendered to the Lord
  • That the team would be unified in all we do
