Returning to Jerusalem and Remembering His Grace
For by grace, you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God -
EPHESIANS 6:8
Hello Beloved, I pray this newsletter finds you in The Love of God and The Peace of God.
The picture above Is Jerusalem… Well, My Jerusalem — Vancouver, Washington
Before I depart for ten months to the ends of the earth — the Philippines — the Lord, in His grace, allowed me to return home for a few precious months. It has been such a GREAT blessing to see family, friends, and be with my home church.
God has opened the door to so many wonderful serving, sharing, and teaching opportunities while I have been home! From prayer groups to pulpits, to home studies and men’s fellowships.
God even allowed me to teach a two-part class at my home church on evangelism! In the first class we covered the theology of the Gospel — beholding the purpose, power, and beauty of Christ’s death, burial, and resurrection. Once we covered what the Gospel is, we then explored how to share this Good News with the world around us. What a humbling honor it has been to be used by God, to kindle a fire for reaching the lost in my own community and the unreached at the ends of the earth!

Sharing my Testimony of how I surrendered my life to Christ
Evangelism Class and Students
While most of my time home has been sweet, there have also been moments of warfare, trial, temptation, failure, discouragement, and even doubt… Following Christ is costly, difficult, and is impossible…apart from His Grace. In this season of being home, I have really been meditating on His Grace and what the Grace of God actually is. The definition of Grace is receiving something you don’t deserve; The most common way I believe we understand His Grace is in that it is God totally and completely removing our sins through the giving of His Son; which is true, but I believe the Scriptures also speak of the reality of the Grace of God as an empowering force through reliance on The Spirit, in the life of a believer. Grace helps us to grow and become what He desires for us to be, which is sanctified children of God conformed to the image of Christ. How do we access Grace and become all that our father desires of us? It is “not of ourselves” or through works or striving; we must return to childlike faith in God, and simply abide in His Word, His Spirit and be utterly dependent upon Him for ALL THINGS,
to overcome sin,
to be obedient,
to be holy,
to be loving,
to be patient,
to be bold,
to be wise,
to be kind...If it is anything good, it will come from Him living through us, for we truly have nothing to offer except surrender
and where we fall short, His Grace is sufficient. There are great glorious depths to His Grace, and I highly encourage you to dive into them for yourself.

The Vision
The Philippines is an open country on the edge of the 10/40 window and our heart is to train Southeast Asia Christians with a heart for missions and church planting to reach the unreached.
Filipino Christians are culturally going all over the world already, especially closed Middle Eastern countries like Saudi Arabia and Pakistan. Our hope is to equip them and give them a vision for missions and cross-cultural church planting.
We are all commanded to be a part of the Great Commission and make disciples of all nations; and church planting is the most effective way to do it. We want the world to know Him and to give all people the chance to receive forgiveness for their sins and eternal life.
