Summer in Loreto is in full swing. The day and the nights are extremely hot with little relief from the heat. But this is where the Lord has David and I currently serving him. Serving at Calvary Loreto and the community in Loreto. Sharing the Gospel and Love of Jesus. I never thought God could use us in the way He has and we are so humbled to be able to serve such amazing God.
It is hard to believe we have been in Loreto almost 5 years serving our Lord and Savior. We have had the privilege to be part of so many lives being transformed by the blood of Jesus. Being able to lift up people and make disciples that want to serve and truly surrender their lives to Jesus. Thank you all that help to support this through your prayers and financial support. This is your fruit here in Loreto.
Signing Papers for New Property
What can I say, God is amazing. Pastor Elmer had the privilege earlier this month to sign the paperwork and take over the property that will be the new home to Calvary Loreto. God granted us the wisdom and the means to achieve this, even when we had no idea how it would unfold. But that is the business God is in, making the impossible possible. Pastor Elmer and the team didn’t slow down. The very next week the land was being leveled and trees removed. Please keep this project in your prayers as much is still needed to be done. Pray for wisdom as we move forward and that God uses Calvary Loreto powerfully to glorify His kingdom.
Medical Ministry comes to CCL
We had an amazing team, actually two amazing teams come down to Loreto at the same time and do outreaches. Medical, dental, and conferences all in the same week. We had people lined up 3 hours before we even opened for free dental, chiropractic and vision care! We were able to meet so many new people from the community and share the gospel with them one on one. Over the 3 days we had, 25 people professed Jesus as their Lord and Savior.
During the same week as the medical outreach we had a spirit filled, God honoring team come from Calvary Redrock in Las Vegas to lift up the church in anyway they could. In one week we were able to have a men’s and women’s conference that brought over 100 men and women to have fellowship and hear about the Lord.

Our life group in the outskirts of town is going strong. This group is held outside even during this extreme heat. Please keep Miguel and his wife Bernice in prayer for strength during this heat while working fulltime. The Lord is finding favor with this group and many are coming week after week to grow together in Christ.
We continue to deliver food to families in need in the church. We get the opportunity to bring food to their houses and pray over them showing the love of God. This could not have happened without your prayers and financial support. We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to you. Thank You! If this is on your heart to help support we by no means are even close to fulfilling the needs in our church. So please help us to feed and spread the love to those that have so much less than us, but still love and trust in our Lord to provide.
Being full time missionaries is about being part of the community. This year we were invited to attend a young women’s graduation. We have had the privilege to pour into Yarek’s life for over 4 years watching her mature into a wonderful child of God, and watching her serve at Calvary Loreto and now going off to college. We have seen so many young peoples lives change because of Jesus. It is one of the most rewarding things we get to see week after week. Have I told you how awesome our God is? Please keep Yarek in your prayers as she leaves to go off to college.
We were able to pray for Miguel before he went out for his vision trip to San Felipe. There are so many amazing things that God is doing through Pastor Elmer and his church planting program at Calvary Loreto. I will dedicate the entire next newsletter to Miguel and his wife, and hopefully the future church plant, Calvary Chapel San Felipe. Please be praying for Miguel, Bernice and the team for wisdom, direction and financial support to make this vision that God has given them come to light. Giving them and the team the obedience to follow the calling God has given them. God is doing amazing things through church planting at Calvary Loreto please keep this program and Pastor Elmer in your prayers.
Prayer is the most important thing that any of us can do. David and I not only pray for those around us, we pray for you as well. We love you and know how important prayer is for us and for you. So if you ever have specific prayer requests let us know, we would be honored to pray for you.
Our specific prayer requests:
#1 Pray that David and I to continue to walk in the will of God being obedient to His calling on our lives.
#2 Pray for the new building for Calvary Loreto to move forward so we can open and share the Gospel message and to show the Love of God.
#3 Pray for wisdom for the new church plant in San Felipe.
#4 Pray for our marriage to continue to grow in love while always keeping God first in our lives.
