Don’t be fooled, the title is not clickbait. By the grace of God we arrived in Rosarito last night and after dinner we had our first class from Pastor Trent on Surrender. At the tail end of his teaching we were instructed to write down our deepest desires and to go burn them (literally we burned them in a small campfire). And then we went to bed. There wasn’t a dry eye in the room that night.
It makes me laugh thinking back to it because we were blessed by such a sweet dinner of a taco bar, accompanied by great fellowship with the staff and students. Then, after the first class, our hearts were heavy and the tone was set for these next six weeks. It was unexpected to say the least. Our hearts and minds were convicted and heartbroken by the reality that there are so many things we want. But we have to let it go. The good, the bad, and the ugly; we must give room for God to move. So after writing down my list of desires and shedding a few tears, I went to put mine in the fire. I let it go.
Above is my team! The one and only picture we have and my eyes are barely open...
I want to thank you all for the endless support for me and my team. You all are playing a pivotal role in spreading the Gospel here in Mexico. We had to be halfway funded ($1350) by the day we left and I am pleased to say that I made that goal! Now, it’s just the long haul (the other half) that I must have funded by the time I come back to the states. I know the Lord will provide, but I wanted to share this with you all so you can continue praying for provision and praise for what He’s done.
It’s been less than 24 hours here in Rosarito, but I’m already very eager and expectant for what the Lord’s going to do. Please pray for me as I seek the Lord in what my role in the Great Commission is. We are learning every day in class about missions, theology, and the church. Thank you for allowing me to be here. I’ll talk to you all so soon! - Dani Tsague
