The Beginning
Hey friends and family!
I am blessed to share that I am attending the Calvary School of Missions in Rosarito, Mexico.
The term is six weeks long and began on June 27. I flew into John Wayne airport in California on the 26th, orientation was on Saturday evening and on Sunday we were prayed over by the church and headed down to Mexico. Apart from one of our vehicles being scraped on the receiving end of a hit and run, we safely made it down to Mexico.

The past 48 hours have been a whirlwind of meeting so many new people, getting settled into our new space and routine, (everything is scheduled!) classes and worship.
It is unique to meet complete strangers, yet feel so connected through our faith in Christ and a desire to see what the Lord has for us regarding missions.
The running theme throughout the first few sermons from Pastor Trent has been that we don’t need a bigger understanding of missions or the specific calling on our lives, rather a bigger understanding of who God is.

Missions piqued my interest, especially after my semester in Israel was cut short on October 7th, and I ended up unexpectedly attending a Middle East missions conference in Cypress. Whether God calls me across the globe or back to Spanish Lookout, I am confident that this summer will further equip me to serve wherever I am!
Throughout the summer, all of us students will be sending newsletters, sharing how God is working during our trip.
Besides classes and newsletters- we will also be going on outreaches and a mission trip to Mazatlan where we will travel up a mountain to visit an indigenous tribe.
I currently need to raise $1,350 USD to complete payment for my semester.
But even more than financial support, I appreciate your prayers during this semester.
Please pray for:
Our team to be effective in our outreaches
A unity throughout the team
The students to be willing to surrender and hear from the Lord
Thank you for your prayers,
Abigail
