Mexico!!

Hello Family and friends! I am thankful to be back home after my two week Mexico trip in Mazatlán and Culiacan with a team from Calvary Chapel Saving Grace (CCSG). Our team of about 13 took a trip to help support our fellow Calvary Chapel Church plants in Mexico.

Prayer before we went out to invite the community to a Calvary Chapel Church Plant Service

I would like to share some CCSG history and how we are related to our Mexico Church plants…. Let me take you back to when Pastor Trent Douglass of CCSG in Yorba Linda Ca (the Church I am currently interning at) and his wife Deborah began a flourishing backyard Bible study during the Jesus movement that planted our current Church. God spoke through the book of Acts Matthew 28:19″Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit”. They fully believed in Gods word and began to apply the Churches purpose which is for the equipping and evangelization of all people of all nations. CCSG sent out their first few missionaries, one of them was pastor Mike Vincent. Pastor Mike moved his family to Rosarito and planted their first Church. Pastor Mike shared the same heart and vision and also began raising and sending Missionaries from within the Church body. This led to around 50 or so Church plants in Mexico. And one of those many Church plants was Calvary Chapel Mazatlán. Then Calvary Chapel Mazatlán caught onto the vision and sent out missionaries to plant a Church on Stone Island. Each Church glorifying God in the work and being led by God’s heart for the nations.

Now that you’re aware of our connected history, it makes perfect sense for us to be with our brothers and sisters edifying them in the faith and encouraging them to plant Churches in further places in the world. We cleaned, painted, prayed over, invited people to these Church plants, and shared the vision of global missions, to further nations. The pastors and body were so blessed and encouraged by our help and presence, it truly was worth a trip. We all felt very used by the Lord and loved upon by the people.

The Church body is so important and God really used us to edify the Church down in Mexico.

Our team helped Church Plant a new Calvary Chapel on Stone island. It was such a blessing to see the community come together on opening night service, we served free tacos and worshipped that night. We helped paint and prepare the nights leading. Some people you can pray for are Daniel and his sister Deborah. Daniel and Deborah are young natives who were so good at interpreting Spanish, they helped me invite people to the Church and were such a blessing doing missions with us. Pray for these kids that they walk in the light of the Lord.

Also please be keeping in prayer Nancy a missionary from the States who helped host us in Mazatlán. Also pray for Jenna, also a missionary from the States who helped host us in Culiacan, and her son Sammy. They were truly a blessing, and they were blessed by all of the work God did through us. It was extremely impactful for us by how blessed they were by us being there.

So encourage each other and build each other up, just as you are already doing” (1 Thessalonians 5:11).

As for me now that I am back home, I return to serve my body in Yorba Linda. Currently I have been made administrative assistant to Nick Ramos who is an interim pastor who is working full time in organizing Evangelism events. I am so blessed to be a part of the Evangelism team and to be discipled and continue to grow in administration. I love working with Nick, he is the best!!!

God has stirred my roommate Aleah and I to pray and thus we began a prayer meeting on Saturdays at 8am, it has been amazing. So far we are all women, but very powerful in prayer. I am so thankful for God stirring the Church to pray.

Our team as we prepared for the Conference in Mazatlán

Every holiday we do a Complex Outreach, we give out gifts with the Gospel message to the surrounding business’s within our complex. We are building relationships with the people around our building and its been such a joy and pleasure.

As many of you know I continue to pray about going to the unreached to share the Gospel. During Mexico God has spoken a lot about me going out and I continue to have a heart for the nations. In the end of April I will be leaving for Jordan to take a vision tour and I believe God will continue to speak. Please pray for my team and I as we prepare to leave. The total cost of the trip is $2500 and I still need around $1500. I trust God to provide if it is His will.

Thank you everyone for all of your partnership in the Gospel, for all of your support, love, prayers, encouragements, God bless you all in the faith as we continue to do the work as the body, edifying one another for the sake of the Gospel. May God’s kingdom go forth and sovereignty reign.

A few shout outs, to my hometown church’s: Mission San Antonio, True Life Christian Fellowship, Church in Bitterwater, my Life Group on Wednesdays, my family, my newly born niece Eislee, and to all my nephews. And my prayer group Saturdays, and my growth group, and Malawi Family love you all. And glad to be home. Mexico was amazing!
