Church Fellowship

Greetings to you all! I thank God that I am safe here and God is using me. It is such a blessing for me that God has given me wonderful believers. This ministry has brought both joy and sorrow as I see the lives of the believers. It brings me joy to hear their testimonies about how God is working in their lives. And through this, I know why God has brought me here.

Sharing in the Lives of those in my Church

As I look back, I see that God brought me here for these people. God has given me this responsibility that I may lead them ahead. When I hear their testimonies and the ups and downs of their lives I see that they are facing many challenges from their families, but they are standing in their faith! That is why I am thankful to God–He is working in their lives and I believe that God will be with them until the end.

Some of the new believers live very far from my place and I can only visit them about 3-4 times a month. When I visit them, I often face difficulty as their families do not want me to come and encourage them in the Lord, but God does open doors for me. Seeing God work in their lives and seeing Him open doors brings me joy.
There have also been times when I was discouraged seeing some of the believers who are not walking strong in their faith. When I visit some of the people who used to come to my church they do not give a good response. They are facing many problems from their family which is keeping them away from God.
In Matthew chapter 13 we read the parable of the sower. In this we read about how sometimes the Word does not take root and how it produces 30, 60 and 100 times. This same thing I have experienced in my ministry and it is truly a challenge for me.

The Opportunity To Share With A Jehovah Witness

A few months ago I got an opportunity to meet a man who is a Jehovah’s Witnesses. I spent almost a whole day with him. I was praying for God to give me wisdom in how to share the truth with him. He told me that Jehovah Witnesses’ are the true believers and we (Christians) are the ones who only follow the Law. This was a great time for me to share the difference between keeping the Law and having faith. I asked him, “What is faith?” He told me that he had faith that God would heal him and God healed him and that was his definition of faith. So I shared with him from Galatians, where it teaches us about the difference between faith and keeping Law. I told him that true faith means believing that Jesus Christ died for my sins and rose again on the third day. Jesus is the only way to God. If we need to go to the Father then it is really important for us to believe in the Son.
We had a very long conversation and at the end he agreed that, “Yes, truly we (Jehovah Witnesses) are the ones who have divided God.”! He assured me that when he got home, he would read the Bible and study about the things that I said. He told me that he had a good time talking and hoped that we would meet soon.

Prayer requests:

-Please pray that God will open doors for me that I may share the Word effectively.
-Please pray for the believer’s families; that they may also open their homes and hearts to welcome me, and that God may work in their hearts that they may accept Him.
-Please pray for church growth; that more people may get saved and added to the church.
-Please pray for the Jehovah Witness man who I shared the Gospel with; that he may rightly understand the Word of God and follow Him.
God bless you,
